Yes, the Variant page builder comes in the download package, and you should use the version that comes in your purchased zip file. Just open builder.html in the variant folder. Sorry but no, the Variant source is encrypted. It is intended only as an aid to help you build a site using the template.
Please remember, each site you publish anywhere requires you to purchase another single license.

The instagram API ends in March 2020. Does anyone have any good alternatives or third party sites that display and work well with this theme?

Currently there is a solution on npm which seems to be able to scrape the data required to make a feed of images, however, we do not recommend using a script that scrapes the public HTML structure as this might change in future and it would render your website unable to display instagram photos again.
Currently we do not have a solution to the instagram API changes.

Yes, you will receive a full copy of the builder that is to be used in-house by you for the purposes of building a site based on the template. Variant is to be used on your local machine only and is not suitable for use as a hosted web page builder.

This is a basic HTML template so while we can’t guarantee integration with third party services – I wouldn’t imagine you’d have problems with Foundry.

In modal buttons (http://foundry.mediumra.re/elements-modals.html) is possible to use replacement images? For example, a black and white image, when you roll over it with the mouse, it changes to color, and when you click, the modal opens.

This can be done using CSS only!
.yourbuttonclass:not(:hover) .yourimageclass{ filter: grayscale(100%); }
yourbuttonclass is a class you put on yout button to identify it. Also, yourimageclass is a class you put on your button’s image to identify the image so we can target it with this rule.

We don’t have plans to add more UI blocks at this time. You aren’t able to add them to the builder, you’d need to build in HTML with the base elements that come with Foundry.

Are you planning on updating this to utilize better JS code? The code seems like it is all coded for a very specific use case and is not accessible through classes to modify. I don’t mind that really. But better documentation is something that’s needed for sure. Other than that it looks fantastic. This is immensely useful for prototyping a website. As this is a template, I don’t mind going in and modifying the code. I found the setup is really simple to modify and extend from. Overall great job!

Thanks for the feedback. We’ve been working toward a more ‘data-attribute’ modifier style in recent templates to give the user more control over the JS plugins directly from the HTML. At this time we don’t have an ETA on updating Foundry to reflect these changes.
