Hello,
we are experiencing a severe performance issue on our WordPress site using the Hub theme.
Issue summary All Elementor-based frontend pages take around 2 minutes to load. The WordPress backend and non-Elementor test pages load normally.
After testing, we found that Hub Elementor Addons by Liquid Themes is the clear trigger: • Hub Elementor Addons activated → Elementor frontend pages have ~120s TTFB / very slow loading • Hub Elementor Addons deactivated → pages load fast again • But with the plugin deactivated, the layout breaks because the site depends on Hub widgets/elements
So we cannot keep the plugin disabled, but the site is unusably slow while it is active.
Environment • WordPress: 6.9.4 • PHP: 8.1.x • Elementor: 4.0.5 • Hub Core: 6.0.2 • Hub Elementor Addons: 6.0.2 • Hub Portfolio: 1.0.2 • Theme: Hub
The issue started recently. We did not manually update Elementor or the Hub plugins before the problem appeared. The only automatic updates were WordPress core updates.
Tests already performed • Created a nearly empty non-Elementor test page: loads fast • Elementor-based pages remain slow • Disabled Hub Elementor Addons: site becomes fast immediately, but layout breaks • Re-enabled Hub Elementor Addons: site becomes slow again • Updated Hub Core and Hub Elementor Addons to 6.0.2: no fix • Updated Elementor to 4.0.5: no fix
Query Monitor findings
Query Monitor shows the following PHP warning:
Undefined array key “lqd_page_background_image_tablet”
Stack trace points into Elementor CSS generation:
wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php wp-content/plugins/elementor/core/files/css/base.php Elementor\Core\Files\CSS\Base Elementor\Core\Settings\Base\CSS_Manager elementor/css-file/post/parse
Query Monitor also reports dependency warnings related to Elementor assets, for example:
Function WP_Styles::add was called incorrectly. The style with handle “elementor-common” was enqueued without registered dependency: elementor-icons.
Function WP_Scripts::add was called incorrectly. The script with handle “elementor-common” was enqueued without registered dependency: elementor-dialog.
Question
Can you please advise how to fix this issue? It looks like Hub Elementor Addons is causing a very long frontend render time, possibly during Elementor CSS generation or while processing Hub/Liquid Elementor controls.
Please let us know if there is: • a known compatibility issue with WordPress 6.9.4 / Elementor 4.0.5 • a recommended Elementor version for Hub Core 6.0.2 and Hub Elementor Addons 6.0.2 • a patch or newer plugin version available • a specific setting or Hub widget that could cause this • a safe workaround that keeps the layout intact
I can provide screenshots from Query Monitor and Chrome Network timing if needed.
Best regards, Tanja

I am interested in purchasing this theme. The demo site at https://originalhub.liquid-themes.com/ features a mega menu. Is it possible to remove the animation (such as blinking or fading) that appears on the submenus when the mouse hovers over the main menu? My goal is for the same submenu to appear regardless of which main menu item the mouse hovers over.
Hello emillim,
Thank you for your interest in the Hub theme.
Yes, it is possible to remove the submenu animation effects (such as blinking or fading) from the mega menu. You can customize the behavior so that the submenu appears instantly without any animation on hover.
If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask.

Hello, I purchased your theme today. When I try to activate it, it says, “Please connect to Envato first,” and asks for all of my details. How can I activate the theme, and where should I enter the license key?
Hello,
Thank you for your purchase and for getting in touch.
Please follow the steps below to activate your license:
First, create an account on the Liquid Portal here: https://portal.liquid-themes.com/login
After logging in, connect your Envato(theme purchased) account to the Liquid Portal: https://portal.liquid-themes.com/login
Next, log in to your WordPress site where the Hub theme is installed and activated, and navigate to: Liquid → Activation
From there, connect your site using the license via the Liquid Portal. You can choose to activate it as either a development or production environment, depending on your needs.
Once you click “Connect,” you will be redirected to your Liquid Portal account, where you can select your license and complete the connection.

Thank you for your reply.
Before purchasing the theme, there was no indication that, in order to activate it, we would be required to connect to the theme developer’s system and share our Envato Market account data. We also do not see any general requirement in Envato’s rules to connect an Envato account to the author’s portal.
Is there any alternative way to activate the purchased theme?
We never disclose our company account credentials, and such a requirement exceeds our security requirements.
Best regards, Infoline Team
Hello atass,
Thank you for your response.
We completely understand your concern regarding account security and would like to clarify that connecting your Envato account to the Liquid Portal does not require sharing your credentials with us. The connection is handled securely through Envato’s official authorization system (OAuth), meaning your login details remain private and are never accessible to us.
This step is required to verify your purchase and manage license activation, as outlined in our documentation. You can read more details here: https://docs.liquid-themes.com/article/566-liquid-portal-my-license-is-not-showing-in-my-account
At the moment, license activation is only possible via the Liquid Portal, and there is no alternative method available.
If you have any further concerns or need assistance with the process, please submit a ticket through our support system, we’d be happy to guide you step by step.
Best Regards,
LiquidThemes Team
The theme was purchased through Envato, therefore we expect its activation and access to the purchased product to be ensured on the basis of that purchase alone. We did not purchase the theme from any other parties, therefore any additional third-party registration requirements and any additional obligations to disclose data are not acceptable to us.
If, under your arrangement with Envato, the activation process is handled by your side, we kindly ask you to implement it without additional data collection and without imposing any additional registration obligations on us.
Best regards, Infoline Team

Yo Happy new year is it possible to use deepseek API key rather then closed ai api?
also how does the new pin side scroll function work?
Keep up the good work about the buy another license
Thanks
Hello Walizen,
Thank you for reaching out.
Currently, the hub theme only supports the OpenAI API key. It is not possible to use a DeepSeek API key at this time.
Smooth Horizontal Scroll is the new feature with the latest HUB update. You can simply achieve that functionality by enabling the “Horizontal Scroll” option under Container >> Section Options, as shown in this screenshot: View Screenshot
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please feel free to submit a support ticket through our support system.

Hi, I have a Hub theme license that was previously activated on a website I no longer manage. I can’t access that site to deactivate the license, and the dashboard doesn’t show any options to remove it. How can I deactivate the license? The license still belongs to me, right?

Hi. Can you tell me how to fix this error in the browser console?
Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://hubcollection.liquid-themes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/103015-gradient-header-1.json' from origin ‘https://mysite.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. lottie.min.js:1
GET https://hubcollection.liquid-themes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/103015-gradient-header-1.json net::ERR_FAILED 200
ALL THAT BELOW DIDN’T HELP:
1) I downloaded the file to the same folder https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/103015-gradient-header-1.json
2) Added to .htaccess
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "https://mysite.com"
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Methods "GET, POST, OPTIONS"
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Headers "Content-Type, Authorization"
</IfModule>
3) Added to functions.php
add_action( ‘init’, function() { // Проверяем, что запрашивается ваш JSON файл if ( strpos( $_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’], ‘https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/103015-gradient-header-1.json' ) !== false ) { header( ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin: https://mysite.com' ); header( ‘Access-Control-Allow-Methods: GET, POST, OPTIONS’ ); header( ‘Access-Control-Allow-Headers: Content-Type, Authorization’ ); } });

Our website was working properly before, but recently the frontend stopped loading. The WordPress admin panel is accessible without any issues.
When the Hub Core plugin is activated, the frontend keeps loading and never opens. When we deactivate Hub Core, the website loads but the entire layout and design are broken.
It seems the issue is directly related to the Hub Core plugin.
Could you please let us know what might be causing this and how we can resolve it?
Thank you.
Hello siriushs,
Thank you for reaching out.
We recommend first ensuring that you are using the latest version of the HUB theme Version: 6.0.1 and all its required plugins, including the Hub Core plugin. Updating the theme and plugins often resolves compatibility or loading issues like the one you described.
If the issue persists after updating, could you please submit a support ticket through our help desk so our team can investigate this more thoroughly?

Hi.
Theme is really great, but documentation is one of the worst I have ever seen. Today, with minimum input and AI you could write great instructions. That said, can you please give info how to set-up this top banner different for each category or product
https://imgur.com/a/gZECdZWThank you
Hello, @dddarko85,
Thank you for contacting us, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We understand how frustrating it can be when you are trying to achieve a specific result but are unable to do so.
Our theme documentation is quite detailed compared to other themes in the same category. However, it covers general features rather than specific settings for smaller elements. You can easily test these settings yourself, or you can always reach out through our support system—our support engineers are always available to assist you.
Regarding your concern, the image you mentioned is the Title Background Image, which is set globally from:
Liquid → Theme Options → Page Title Bar Reference: https://postimg.cc/sBtZgdFW
If you would like to set different images for different pages, you need to edit the specific page and navigate to:
Post Settings → Page Title Wrapper Option → Enable Title Wrapper, then configure the settings according to your requirements.
