I want to show a php code block in my course page. Is there any shortcode that will help me to that?

Hi,
the theme is based on bootstrap which has some css classes for basic code highlighting, you can see some examples here:
http://getbootstrap.com/css/#code
But you’ll have to set the classes manually – so that’s not really an option if you have to present several code blocks with multiple code lines.
The easiest solution: You can use an online syntax highlighting service like
http://tohtml.com/
Here you get an HTML output with inline css classes ready to copy and paste to the Moodle editor.

Congratulations for your great job! I have two questions for you:

1) I would like to create pages like those of the demo and connect them to the top menu. How do? I tried inserting a resource within the course, but also the links appear in the mainbody of the home. (See here: http://www.studioinsight.it/moodle/)

2 ) I would like to create a page like this: http://lambda.redpithemes.com/login/index.php

thanks Marlais

Thanks!
Please contact me again via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ). This way I can answer you in more detail.

hi,

Is it possible to hide Moodle logos in the theme? for example the moodle logo in the footer or in header,

We would like it to have the branding of our company as opposed to the moodle branding.

Thanks.

Hi,
you can upload your own logo to the header. The footer contains customizable HTML, so you can also place the branding of your company there.

Great Theme, could you please tell me how language switcher (language menu) looks like? I didn’t find it on demo page. Could I look at it?

I have also question abuot this comment: “Hi, we use moodle and your Lambda-Theme with the multilanguage-filter. Is there a solution to show the Slideshows in 2 languages? The tags for more languages do not work here.”

You have answered: “Hi, I already sent you the modified files in my mail from 10 February. Please check your email inbox again.”

So, when I got theme, will it include modified files which will allow me to show the Slideshows in 2-3-4 languages?

Thanks for answer, so is it better to wait to release, and buy and install the theme after it release, to get it with support the multilanguage filter? And yes, please, send some links and screenshots for the language menu.

I have also question about embed videos from youtube and vimeo, and images. Is there any tool in theme, or moodle plugins, to make placed images and embed videos responsive, as well as themes blocks? In demo section – http://lambda.redpithemes.com/mod/page/view.php?id=193 videos are not responsive.

Hi,
of course you can wait for the release of the update, but there is no risk involved for you if you buy now. You’ll get an email if an update is out and you can download an updated version at any time.
The videos you refer to are from a sample course provided by My Learning Space, licensed under Creative Commons. They are supposed to work in every theme and therefore are not responsive.
In theme Lambda, it is possible to embed videos responsive. You only have to make some minor changes to the HTML you get from youtube to embed a video. Images are responsive by default: You can see an example at the frontpage of the demo.
I can send you some links and screenshots for the language menu, but please contact me via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ) – otherwise I don’t have your email address.

This is an awesome theme and the support from the author makes it even better. The few issues we have run into (caused by our unique needs rather than any problems in the theme files) were quickly resolved.

The theme is beautiful and clean and doesn’t just spruce up the front pages-lessons are cleaner, tables and reports are better-every part of our Moodle looks and feels great.

Could not be more pleased with this Lambda theme—and that after being refunded for another one (Unicourse) which was terrible.

WM

Thank you! Great to hear you are happy with the theme and the support.

Hi,

Just want to say I absolutely LOVE this theme… not just the look of it, but the clear documentation, the customisability, and the ongoing support! The last theme I bought from another company was a similar price, had absolutely no documentation or support, and updates (critical when Moodle updated) had to be purchased! Many thanks… money well spent!

Hi,
thanks a lot! I am delighted to receive such an enthusiastic feedback!

Thank you for a great theme. I’ve already purchased the theme and am in the midst of customizing it and have one IMPORTANT question.

We use OAuth2 authentication so that our students can sign into Moodle with their school Google Apps accounts. The Moodle login is used only for Admin. Therefore, having a fancy login box that serves only the admin is no good.

Is there a way I can deactivate the login box and, maybe just add a link to the login/index.php page?

Thanks a million. WM

Hi,
yes, that’s possible with some minor modifications to the header.php. I also just received your email from the contact form, so it’s best to continue this via mail.

Hi there loving the theme so far, I was just wondering if there is a way to place dummy content as the ones that you have in the demo site.

Hi,
please send me a mail via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ) and I can help you how to add content to your site and I can also send you the HTML from the demo site.

Hi. I have a question about your template. Was it designed following the Moodle rules about code use in the template?

I ask, as we bought the Ergo template (3rd wave media), which had a lot of issues in Moodle, and we kept having to have them fix basic things (like italics didn’t work on pages, or bolding didn’t work in quiz questions, etc, fundamental things that should have worked).

And, then when Turn-it-in updated their plugin, suddenly Ergo quit working with it as they had used some Flash protocol they are not supposed to use in a Moodle template. So, in the end, Ergo doesn’t work with the Turn-it-in plugin and had other formatting issues in course content and we had to drop it, so paid for it for nothing.

Anyhow, before we buy another Moodle template, we want to know that it was coded based on the Moodle standards? That it will work with basic Moodle plugins and functions?

Thanks M

Hi,
although I am confident that I have followed all Moodle standards, it is hard to provide a guarantee for each third party plugin. All I can say is that I use the theme by myself for my daily work with Moodle and I have never experienced any problems with plugins or Moodle activity modules.
Nevertheless, if you encounter any problems or if you need some adjustments for the theme, I will of course try to help you.

Hello! You can help to insert Adsense code into the template Lambda? In the forum and test.

Hi, I just received your mail by the support contact form – so it’s best to continue this via mail.

Hi, great work on the theme! I have a question – Can I get more than 16 slides in carreusel?.

Hi,
yes, that’s possible by modifying the settings.php and lib.php. If you need more than 16 elements in the carousel, please contact me via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ) and I can send you the necessary files.

Thank you, You’ve helped me a lot.

I’ve just sent you the modified files.

Hello there, I totally love the clean look of this theme. My question is, does this theme work in Moodle 2.8. I am seriously considering this theme. Feedback will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
thanks! Yes, the theme is fully compatible with Moodle 2.8!

Hi, I can’t get the slideshow to display on moodle 2.6. I’ve uploaded 3 images with 3 headings. After a narrow blank bar appears across the top of the page like it’s trying to display but there’s nothing there. Any ideas how to resolve?

Hi, the demo site is running with Moodle 2.6, so the slideshow should work with this version.
Please send me your URL with a temporary admin access via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ) so I can check your site.

Hi, we use moodle and your Lambda-Theme with the multilanguage-filter. Is there a solution to show the Slideshows in 2 languages? The tags for more languages do not work here.

Hi, the moodle multilanguage filter is often ignored by plugins. It would be easiest for me to work directly on your site to test this. Please send me a temporary access for ftp and Moodle admin via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ).

Hallo, i did send you access 1 month ago…

Hi,
I already sent you the modified files in my mail from 10 February. Please check your email inbox again.

Love the theme…really. We have a problem where IE users passwords are not being shown as black dots when you enter it into the box at the top right – the actual password shows, which is a problem when a teacher is logging in in front of a class. Only an issue with IE. Is this a moodle issue or a theme issue?

Hi, can you please send me the URL to your site via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support )? I will check this.

Do you have any proposal to include timeline kind and others within this theme. I have manually added vertical timeline within the custom css. I would like to see more like parallax and similar kinds

regards

Hi, the theme is constantly being further developed and improved, but I can not say for sure a precise date when there will be the next major css additions.

Hi, great work on the theme! I have a question – when you view the site on a smaller screen is there a way to scale only the images in the slideshow? As it is parts of the images on the sides are cropped out.

Thanks!
The theme uses a responsive slider, but to make sure that the headings and captions will fit within the displayed images, the height is set to 375px. So depending on your screen resolution, the images in the slideshow will adapt to these settings.

In my case I don’t have heading nor caption, only 3 images. I wanted images to behave like they are in ( class=”img-responsive” ).

That’s possible, of course! Please send me a mail via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ) and I can send you the modified files for this.

The course search box is not visible when open the website in mobile. What is the solution for this.

Thanks

Yes, the content uses a bit more padding to the left and right. In Moodle, if you turn editing on, all resources and activities within the content get the “arrows” icon (to drag & drop the resource or activity) to the left. Without a proper padding this icon would be out of sight.

actually i am taking about the “news” section they are of kind more conjusted in the mobile view and padded more toward left side. It was my only concern. Thanks

Thank you for pointing that out. I will check this. Could you please send me the URL to your site via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support )?

Hi,

I want to edit part of the layout of the template so the information is presented diferently.

Specifically I want the course description on the lists not floating right as in a table but occupying the whole space beneath the title.

Title

Teacher:

Information ---------------—-

Instead of

Title / information

Teacher / information

Which file do I have to edit to style this? Which is the .php file it uses to generate this main column?

Please provide me with this information. Besides this very happy with the template :)

Hi, that’s possible by editing the style.css. Please contact me again via the support tab (http://themeforest.net/item/lambda-responsive-moodle-theme/9442816/support ). I can send you some screenshots how the modifications will look and we can clarify if that’s the way you want the course summary to be displayed.

I would like to use this theme to create a language-learning website for Swiss-German. I have a few questions:

  1. Can sound samples for pronunciation be embedded alongside written content?
  2. Swiss German spelling is extremely variable – can I set several accepted answers for each question?
  3. Which kinds of quizzes are available? (multiple choice / fill in the blank / several possibilities etc.) ?
  4. I would like free accounts and paid accounts, as well as practice and test results to be saved and people to be able to retake them as often as they wish.

Hi, that’s no problem, all of your requirements can be fulfilled in Moodle.

Audio files (as well as videos) can be directly integrated into a course, you can see an example in the demo site: http://lambda.redpithemes.com/course/view.php?id=5

The Moodle quiz engine is a really powerful and flexible tool and covers everything you need: test results are saved and students are able to retake them as often as they wish; multiple choice / fill in the blank / several possibilities are all available as question types. You can read the official docs here: https://docs.moodle.org/28/en/Quiz_settings for general settings and https://docs.moodle.org/28/en/Building_Quiz for creating questions and question types.

It is also possible to offer paid content as well as open/free content.

But I have to point out: These features belong to Moodle as a learning platform, not to the theme. Of course without Theme Lambda Moodle wouldn’t look so sharp and inviting as in the demo… :)

Awesome!

and WPML compatibility?

Please note: The theme is operating with Moodle, not WordPress. Moodle offers a language menu for multilanguage support, but with this only texts and phrases used in the Moodle core are translated. This won’t affect your own content.
