I haven’t tested the theme with Beaver builder nor with any 3rd party search engine. Same for the monetization. The theme definitely wasn’t built for such use case.

All of those thing will most likely require some advanced custom coding to make them work.

Thanks for the reply.

I’m not afraid of custom coding or modifications as such, but some themes are just more locked than others. Some themese (this is especially a problem here on TF) requires 4 different unnecessary plugins just to work etc., so my questions were more in the direction of how flexible the theme is for different use case scenarios.

If you are not in a hurry and can wait for few weeks, I will be releasing a major update to the Lore which will make customization much more easier.

The current version requires just one 3rd party plugin to run – the Kirki plugin which handles the WordPress Customizer (basically the theme options). However the new version will have everything coded in house and it will come with bunch of custom plugins for better modularity an overall control (for example you will be able to disable FAQ functionality simply by disabling its plugin). It will also come with lots of hooks for developers.

However it is very hard to say how hard those things you’ve mentioned are / will be to implement. It would require some serious time on my end just to do some research on those. For example the current version does not use any builder at all, the home page is a customizable static template. However the new version will come with full Gutenberg optimization with bunch of blocks / shortcodes so theoretically, you should be able to use even a 3rd party builder.

Check your single-lsvr_lore_kb.php file. It seems like you’ve commented the opening DIV tag on line 212 (POST COMMENTS block) but left the closing tag.

BTW, you should never edit the parent theme’s files. Use a child theme for that. You can find the Lore child theme in the full package.

you can create custom bbPress pages via shortcodes in regular pages. You can set any sidebar for such page (you can create custom sidebars under Appearance / Customize / Misc using the “Number of Custom Sidebars” option).

I have tried doing as you have suggested, but it seems not to work as was explained in the link. The automatic generated pages by bbPress are shown rather than the pages with the shortcode and those automatic generated pages use the Full Width page template.

Then you can try to create your custom bbPress templates as described in this tutorial. You will need to use “lsvr_lore_main_begin” and “lsvr_lore_main_end” functions in your template where you can set the sidebar position and its ID. Take a look into single-lsvr_lore_faq.php file for example to see how those functions are used there.

unfortunately, I do not offer demo login.

However, subcategories should work fine up to three levels deep. I mean you could go even deeper, the only problem may be the categories widget (here shown in the left sidebar) which do not have styling for categories deeper than level 3 but a simple CSS can fix it. It is more just a matter of fitting so many levels into a tight space like a sidebar. Apart from the widget, the category archive page with subcategories looks like this, so you see only the direct subcategories of the current category, but you can go as deep as WordPress allows you.

1.) “If you want to use the ‘knowledge base’ area…”: that’s currently not possible. However I am currently working on a major update which will have KB as a separate plugin. However it would still require a lot of custom coding to make it work as a standalone KB without the theme itself. The new plugin will just allow you to manage KB articles and all associated widgets/elements, but any styling and layouts and front-end stuff like that is (and will be) part of the theme. Basically, you will need a solid WP dev to pull it out.

2.) I am sorry but you will have to contact me via an account with which you’ve purchased the theme to get support. If you purchased the site from someone else and therefore don’t have access to such account, you will probably have to purchase your own license or contact Envato if it would be possible to transfer the license.

1.) haven’t tested it with those plugins, but since this theme uses custom posts types for Knowledge base and FAQ posts, do check in those plugins documentation on how they are handling custom post types.

2.) you can’t configure related articles, they are picked automatically from the same category.

3.) KB articles support tags, categories and excerpts.

4.) it depends where exactly you want to display such tree. There is a tree widget for your sidebar as seen in the demo, but displaying something like that in the main content won’t be possible without additional coding.

5.) You mean “News” and “Forums” menu links? You can remove them of course, that is a basic WordPress menu.
