First of all: well done !
The only thing I’d suggest is the ability to have the logo on a different line.
Example: I need a logo sized 200px and also have more than 5 menu elements, right now when hitting the 768 px or even 1024 px the menu goes on two lines and the result is visually not so pleasing.
I can tweak the html and css but that means I no longer have the ease of use of the builder, which is great not only to build but also to update (as I’d have to update the html manually every time).

I see what you mean, although to be fair anyone viewing on a 1024×768 screen is likely on a tablet where the responsive menu would appear. Either way this will be addressed in our next update

Pivot is now v1.2.0!
In Pivot’s latest update we’ve added some new blog layouts and validation for Mail Chimp / Campaign Monitor signup forms. Logo handling in the nav bar is now better, with some automatic sizing and placement to cater for logos of different dimensions. Also check out the inline video element in Variant which can now accept embedded videos from Youtube and Vimeo.

Once ive created the design locally that i want how do i get it to display online on my server. Do i just place all items on my server pointing to a domain name? Also in regards to image mapping once ive done my design locally how will it map correctly online when ive added images? All my questions are rooted in creating the design and getting the page.html file and knowing the next step to get it to display on my sever

Just make sure you images are inside the ‘img’ folder of the pivot directory, this will mean it will work fine locally and online.
Just upload your template directory contents (minus the variant directory) to your desired location using an FTP client. As long as all folders (css,js,img.fonts) and all relevant .html files are there it will display as expected
when you say your template are your referring to the page.html file? So i created my design. I get a page.html file. Do i just upload that to my server along with the css js image and font. Where do i put that page.html file?

Yes you can upload your page in the root directory of the template (where all the other .html files are like about-us.html etc) and then navigate to the pages address in your browser.
To make it your home page, just name it index.html and overwrite the current one that came with the demo

Absolutely love this, it is fantastic! I just have one request if possible and that is in future updates you could possibly add a feature to be able to change the menu font, size and rollover colour. Not sure if that is a lot to do or not but it would make this already amazing builder even better! Keep up the good work!

Great theme! One problem I encountered while exporting the html file, is that only the .html file is being exported, resulting in some rendering issues when I open it in my browser. Where are the accompanying .js, .css, .img files etc and won’t they be automatically exported as well?
The HTML exported from Variant is a .html file that must then be placed into the template directory where the css, js and img folders are. These folders and files then need to be uploaded to your server.

When I edit text, for example when I edit the Header in the video Divider, is there a way to change the Font Typeface and size? ... I’m sorry if this is a stupid question. I just did not see a solution in the demo.
The font is set in Variant, but as with all HTML templates, you are free to edit the font declaration in the exported HTML file/CSS files to be any Google Font you prefer.

Does your awesome Lightbox enabled Gallery work with VIDEOS? ... If yes, does it work with Vimeo, YouTube and Self-Hosted videos?

The lightbox supports images only at the moment, we are looking into providing a more comprehensive solution to this in future updates.
I need to include 2 videos that visitors can click and play. Is there a good way to do this? I prefer not to update the HTML code by hand every time I make a save to the website.

What is the easiest way for me to to add videos in a basic grid (2 videos wide x 2 videos high).
I know how to code this in HTML, but I’m hoping I don’t have to re-do this task every time I make an update to the website.
I would recommend using the block with inline video and removing the text on the left, then clone the video 3 times.

As it stands, you could do it yourself by adding an iframe, but in the current version, this is not an option in Variant. We are going to be adding this as a block in the next update. Stay tuned

Very nice indeed, I really like this. The page builder is sweet it’s like lego meets bootstrap.
One request, could you also produce a 2 column blog listing and post page. I love the single column but the additional choice and flexibility would be great.

I see a problem when viewing the Pivot theme. (http://www.mediumra.re/pivot/home-4.html) in Firefox.
On several screen resolutions (for example 2560px width) the 3 iPhone images are not next to eachother but the last one is below the two others.
Any solutions?
For me I think it has to do something with the grid. Because if I change all the col-md-4 to col-md-3 it is at ist in one row (even though the width is not 100% then)

It turns out this was a bug with Isotope and percentage widths. The issue has now been fixed and you can view the correct functioning at that same link (just be sure to refresh the page so the browser grabs the newest CSS).
We will patch this in with the next update 1.1.1 For now you can find a hotfix on the FAQ of our forum at mediumrare.ticksy.com . You just need to grab the CSS from there
Out of the box so to speak, all is pretty cool but one thing is buggin me – the logo options or lack there of – too small—no brand is that small. So, in keeping with the cool speed of development that your product offers, that part is a speed bump. I’m sure you will add a cool fix for that in coming releases

Hey Flatr,
It sounds like you might be importing a .html file into the builder. The builder is set up to import/export .variant files so you can edit pages at a later time. To do this, you just need to save the page with ‘save as’ in the options panel, then hover over the page title and click the blue ‘cube’ icon to export as a .variant file. You can then import the .variant file using the ‘import’ button for later editing.
It is also worth noting that the import/export feature is only currently available in Chrome and Firefox as Safari does not support local file exporting just yet.

Excellent Template. Just bought it. Would have loved if the builder configuration is saved in an external Json file instead of browser storage. Easy to save a configuration and edit later. Just a suggestion.
This is already built into Variant and available when using Chrome or Firefox. The Safari browser cannot perform this operation just hit the ‘export all to .variant’ button in Chrome or Firefox.

Maps in Pivot are embedded in iframes. To edit your location in Variant, just right-click the map and choose ‘Edit map embed’ and paste the embed code from Google maps or any other mapping provider. In the plain HTML you can just paste your embed code over the existing iframe source.

hello i’ve purchased this excellent template but when i want to export in .html said : “Getting HTML in the demo is disabled.
You may export your page in a .variant file and import it when you purchase the full version.” but is not a demo version How can i do? Thanks

yes i use the folder in the download! (excuse me i’m french) i’ve download the .rar in the download folder and instal it on my server to try and the builder but say this problem
