• The shadows was a styling (png img) can not remove.
• The template builder was and online service from StampReady.net (not mine) You will need to create a free account and import to use with in their service(don’t need any purchase code for using template) you will able to export as a html file that also usable in MailChimp too or you can choose to send directly from SR service too.
• Each template need to import and use modules separately due to difference CSS style

I see. I know how to write/edit CSS. Is it difficult to combine features of different templates (or add my own)?

Actually it not just a CSS it also about the Template builder and MailChimp tags too. such as

• MailChimp require a unique name for each MC tags.
• StampReady data holder for each module and editable area need to manage default color/link color etc.

To combine the template might possible but will require to review all those tags rename and carefully manage the editable area. it surely take times and testing .In my opinion is not a suggestion.
