Hi all – I really like the newest (DIY) version of this – very cool and creative work! Have you tested this with any content restriction plugins? (e.g. – that would make paying for video lessons – something this theme does very well – a more practical proposition – with the tutorial templates?) Does the DIY theme styling come via an import as well (e.g. – that demo – is it available as an import – for quick use?)

Are you guys planning to make a horizontal styled “series” option? Currently they are portrait – which is kinda weird since we are dealing with videos which are almost always horizontal. Please consider this for future update! Thanks!

Sure guys – when you look at videos – whether they are on your phone or anywhere else – 99% of time they are much wider than they are high. They are LANDSCAPE – not portrait. I would like to see a LANDSCAPE view instead of portrait view, so that the graphics for the videos fit in correct proportion to the video. Every video on your demo is landscape – that’s how the thumbnails for series and things should be as well. PLEASE consider adding this! Thanks!

Hi, after the YouTube import, is it possible to “autopost” any new video from YouTube to the website? Or do i need to create a new post after publishing new videos?
Hello mertxe, the Video Importer plugin does not include an “autopost” feature.
By the way, after the first import to the website, your source will be saved in WordPress. In order to create posts from new YouTube videos, you will have to simply use the “bulk video import” feature and it will check again the source (YouTube channel or playlist); if there are new contents, they will be converted automatically into new posts.

I have couple of questions. Just to make sure, it is possible to embed on the main page, in the big player window not only uploaded youtube video, but streaming video too, right? And, about “Youtube” button. Will it work in embedded window? – The button which user clicks to go to Youtube site and open that video there. And what does red ‘youtube’ button do in the right upper corner of the Vlogger? Thanks!
Hello Video2go, I’ll answer below to your question:
1. YouTube streaming videos: yes, you can embed YouTube Live Streaming video by simply pasting the URL in your post content as well the standard video.
2. YouTube button in-video: Vlogger includes a third-party video player that overwrites the default YouTube player functions so you can’t click on the logo and open the video on YouTube. In order to do that, you can use the “Hide first video from contents” Theme feature (placed into our customizer) that will also embed the default YouTube video player inside the post content.
3. YouTube Subscription Button: in the right upper corner of the theme you will find the YouTube Subscription Button that will allow to your visitors to click and subscribe to your YouTube channel. This is a great deal to let your fanbase growing.

Hello HaubenMedia, the methods I linked you refer to WordPress hosted website. You can easily access to discussion/comments panel by clicking at the top of the post page on “screen options” and then checking “Discussion” and “Comments”

Hello julirodriguez, you can use Vlogger as a blog without video header by simply choosing the post format to “Standard” instead of “Video” in the post settings.

Hello wasaad100, thanks for writing us! Here a quick response: 1. Vlogger doesn’t support RTL yet but based on our clients requests we could decide to schedule it on next updates. 2. Currently, it doesn’t import video attributes like comments or like/dislike. 3. Our bundled plugin works perfectly as a standalone plugin and it doesn’t join YT stats. You will have stats based on the view/rating of your website page and not from YouTube. 4. There is no Video Advertising implementation. If you have the YouTube monetization activated on your YouTube Channel, you will get the ads inside the video as well on YouTube. In Vlogger we’ve add 12 ads slots where you can add HTML or shortcodes (Banner/Adsense/etc.) so you can place ads everywhere you want.

1) Actually there isn’t one in the header, you can add it in a widget, but is already in our plans to add the search field in the Off Canvas sidebar for mobile

Does this theme support a mega menu?

Also a few other bugs / requests:
Mobile Devices: When loading a video, you need to double tap on the play icon.
Desktop: On a video when you use a scroll wheel / pad it glitches and is not smooth like with the scroll bar.
Importing Videos: Ability to import posts and link that post to a series.
Also on mobile devices the audio is very low in comparison to the actual youtube video…
Sorry to blowup this thread.. but a major issue is the pre loader ads within youtube. It appears that they are not showing / displaying within the embed. I was wondering if that is because of the styles being added to the embed itself?

About your questions:
1) Mega menu: is not tested for the moment, but it may be a feature we will add in a couple of months
2) Mobile device videos: that may depend on the connection speed, but if you enable the autoplay in the customizer this may solve.
3) Desktop: sorry I don’t understand exactly this point, please open a support ticket for this so we can help you better, and please include the URL where this happens in your site.
4) Importing videos: import the posts from where exactly?
5) That’s your device settings, video is same volume as youtube. Youtube in mobile opens in app, site uses another volume setting of your device, yoou can have 2 different volume settings for websites and for apps.
6) The player on purpose hides ads, because on the website you have other 20 locations to display ads in your website and manage them with dedicated plugins.

hi, nice theme. does it support only youtube videos? is there a possibility to upload own videos directly?
Hello CarbonAdsclick, Vlogger supports not only YouTube videos but also Vimeo, Twitch, DailyMotion and much more. You can also upload on your media library all your own videos (we suggest MP4 format for browsers compatibility)

You can upload your own videos as you do for images. In your WordPress backend, you’ll find the media library where you can drag and drop your MP4 Videos
