hi, will a vendor like dokan pro – or woocommerce vendors work with this theme?

Hi,

unfortunately, there is no built-in support for e-commerce platforms. But at least Woocommerce can be integrated with basically any theme, with some small code customization.

Wish you best sales and a nice day ;)

Thank you!

Congratulations! Nice Work, GLWS :)

Already bought, thank you. Is there any plan for implementing a functional and modern forum like your other themes?

Thanks for your purchase!

The forum in my others themes is created via bbPress plugin, which you can use with any theme. There is currently no theme-specific styling and integration for this plugin in Wordbench, but I am definitely open for this. The thing is that I’ve noticed that very few people actually used bbPress on their sites built via TownPress/Pressville, so that’s why I decided not to add this feature yet. But again, if I will see demand for it, I can definitely add it.

I hope you will like the theme and please feel free to share any feedback. Also, once you try it and if you will like it, please don’t forget to rate it 5* under your ThemeForest / Account. It helps a ton. Thanks.

I’m so happy with your work (I bought Pressville and TownPress back in the days). Wondering if there’s the chance to get access to the HTML files, if they exist; even if they’re a wireframe/boilerplate of some sort. Many thanks

Hi,

thanks for your purchase! It is really cool to see the first buyer of this theme being a loyal customer of mine.

There is unfortunately not even the simplest form of HTML for this design right now, as I’ve coded it right into PHP/WordPress. However, I am planning to create a HTML version of Wordbench, but it will be a separate item to purchase (I will be probably doing some intro price promotion as well though). Can’t give you any ETA on that yet.

Anyway, I welcome any feedback on this theme, so feel free to share your thoughts. And if you already like it, please don’t forget to rate it 5* under your ThemeForest account / Downloads. It will help a lot. I do plan to support this theme for years to come, same as I did (and still do) with TownPress and Pressville, so hopefully it will get some traction.

Looks good. Can you help me with something? It looks like Locations and Event-Locations are separate. Is that right? Does that mean when the Local Artist Showcase happens at the the Art Gallery there will be duplicate places, like a Location “Art Gallery” AND an Event-Location “Art Gallery”?

Edit: It’s extra confusing when I click on an events and it shows the “location” for the even but then when I click on “Locations” in the menu that location isn’t listed.

Hi,

right, those are different types of locations. However, when you are creating an event location, you can choose an existing directory location, so you don’t have to fill the same location data again. But generally, event locations and directory locations are two completely separate entities. Directory locations section is basically a basic business directory, every location is a post (similar to regular blog posts). Event locations are more like advanced categories, with some additional fields. But again, you can use the same locations in the both contexts if you want. I simply didn’t think that not having it mirror each other on the demo will confuse people. Also, if it did mirror each other on the demo, some folks may be confused and think that you have to use the same location in your directory and in your events, which is certainly not something everyone wants. Anyway, it is an interesting observation, so thank you for pointing that out.

I’m having issues with your theme in regards to being able to edit/interact with your widgets in custom sidebars created by your theme.

A widget can be added to a sidebar, but cannot expand to allow for settings to be set within your widget.

Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

are you editing widgets under Appearance / Widgets?

Lubos

Yes. standard process in WP

Please send me your credentials via PM and I will take a look at it.

Can we sell tickets for the events

Hi,

I am sorry but there is no such functionality built-in, you will have to either custom code it, or find a suitable 3rd party plugin.

Lubos

Congratulations! Nice Work, GLWS :)

Thank you!

Does this work perfectly with Elementor? I’ve found some themes that say that but they are not super friendly and not easy to use with elementor which is what I want to use

Hi,

the recommended editor to use is the native block editor (Gutenberg), however all the built-in elements are also available in the Elementor. You can give it a try and if if won’t work for you in the way as you expect, I can give you a refund.

Hi Lubos. Just picked up this theme. Very pleased with it so far. Nice work.

Question – I am using the directory for a few main categories of info: Where to Eat, and Where to Stay, with each having several sub-categories.

I have linked a menu item to category Where to Eat and it is displaying both Where to Eat and the sub-category Casual Dining om the page.

I am wondering if there is an easy way to not have it display the main category, but only the sub-categories for each main category.

As always, I appreciate your help.

I am sorry, but I am currently not available for custom work. You can hire someone at studio.envato.com

However, I will be releasing a new update this or next week and I will try to make some small code changes which will make such customization easier. Maybe it will be even possible with just some custom CSS. So if you are not in a hurry, get back to me once the update will be out and I will see what can be done.

Excellent. I will wait for the update and circle back with you again. Thanks again

The update is on! After you update the theme, please let me know in more detail what exactly you want to achieve with those category links.

Lubos – Is it possible to change which options appear under the search filter within the Hero with Search Widget?

Hi,

it depends whether you want to hide stuff, or add some 3rd party options. If you want to just hide some items, please share your URL and let me know which ones you want to hide and I can give you custom CSS for that.

Lubos

Looking to remove some of the ones that appear. Please let me get back to you on this. I want to ensure we have a few things sorted out first.

Sure, no problem.

I like this. But I love Townpress! Thank you!

Thanks!

Hi, thank you for a nice theme.

Two questions: What block is used for the documents being bundled into folders that expand as shown in the demo here: https://preview.themeforest.net/item/wordbench-municipality-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/31833964?_ga=2.146490807.2007514668.1625863674-1105940558.1612451749

And how did you implement the Google map with locations within the map as shown in the demo here: https://preview.themeforest.net/item/wordbench-municipality-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/31833964?_ga=2.146490807.2007514668.1625863674-1105940558.1612451749

I’ve read the documentation but haven’t been able to figure it out. Any support would be appreciated. Cheers!

Hi,

sorry for the late reply, I was off the computer for the weekend.

1.) that’s not a block, that’s a document post archive layout you can access via yoursite.com/documents. But first you need to change its layout under Appearance / Customize / Documents.

2.) that’s a directory listing archive you can access via yoursite.com/directory. Make sure to set up your map provider under Appearance / Customize / Map Settings first

Lubos

Thank you for your nice theme! I’m very busy setting up our website: https://veiligesmartcities.hierbekijkje.me and I have 2 questions:

1) Events & news on homepage: Is it possible to make al the items in a row (events) the same height? And also in the row with news?

2) Documents overview page: https://veiligesmartcities.hierbekijkje.me/rapporten/ Is it possible you add the option for a featured image? We would like to show an image per document (rapport) here :)

Looking forward to your answer,

Regards, Maaike

Hi,

1.) you can use a custom CSS like this:

.lsvr-wordbench-post-grid--blog .lsvr-wordbench-post-grid__post-container { min-height: 200px; }

Or just use a Photo grid layout instead of the Grid one.

2.) Unfortunately, it is not possible without some advanced code customization. Your best bet is to hire a developer for the job like, for example at studio.envato.com

Great theme, cheers. All working well bar its missing the LSVR Slider Widget on a clean install. All other components are fine.

The Maps also appear to be having an issue, will research this further.

Reactivating the Wordbench plugin fixed it, bizarre. All good.

Hi,

glad to hear everything is fine now!

Hello,

I bought Wordbench for a new project and I find this theme more modern. But do you have a plugin to recommend or another way to integrate a weather plugin like your former Townpress theme? Thank you.

PS : I found “location Weather” by Shaped Plugin

Best regards. Mikael

Hi,

glad you’ve sorted it out!

BTW, I plan to integrate the same weather widget found in TownPress and Pressville into the Wordbench in the future.
