I am trying to add a custom shortcode to the Single Product Builder but it’s not working.
I’ve tried adding it to the:
- Short Description
- Tabs
- Custom Tab 01
- Custom HTML 01
The theme’s limitations are preventing me from doing what I want, which is to show data specified in the Custom Product Attributes
Don’t tell me to use a support forum, just answer here please.

Thank you for your contact. Could you please let us know which type of shortcode you are attempting to use? Is the shortcode from a third-party plugin? Normally, you can easily use the shortcode in a Custom HTML widget in the single product builder. If the shortcode is from a third-party plugin, this may be the reason it is not working for you.
In this case, we suggest that you reach out to the plugin support for further assistance, as we cannot guarantee full theme compatibility with all third-party plugins. Sometimes, additional customization is required to make third-party plugins compatible with the theme.

You should write docs on the maintenance page. Activating Maintenance and setting a page as a Maintenance Page template does not set the website into maintenance mode. Either something is wrong or something is not explained.

Plans to bring back modular css/JS files? I love XStore, but I also don’t like the fact that it’s so bulky, which slows down the site. Do you have plans to bring back the option that allows users to enable/disable certain CSS/JS so that we don’t load everything, like some optimised themes are doing nowadays? I know this may be a somewhat “advanced” feature for people, and it’ll be a pain trying to provide support to people who break their site doing this. But perhaps consider making it available via a custom function or hook? That way only people who know what they’re doing will enable the feature. Please consider this. Thanks!

In previous versions, we had the File generator that was created to speed up the site performance and avoid calling the styles of elements that you don’t use on your site. After a few months of testing that feature with customers and analyzing by us how to make clients’ websites more faster and more optimized for all of them – we found a much better solution. We made code refactoring all across our XStore theme and XStore Core plugin files so each CSS/JS file now loads only and only in case it is needed for specific cases. That means users do not need to care about JS/CSS files that are not used because there are just no such ones.
In simple words: in case you have «off-canvas» type enabled for the header cart element only then dependent scripts/styles will be loaded -> https://prnt.sc/67QgB6wvGq0T. Otherwise, those styles/scripts will not be loaded.
That was a very huge and hard work made by our developers because they checked many different options and project files to create the most optimized and needed cases for loading each JS/CSS file.

Maybe I’m missing something? Was trying to take a look at the OpenAi in version 9.1. In your video the option “ChatGPT (OpenAI) is below the Mainenance Mode in the XStore dashboard. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) – occurs on sites where the theme was transferred from another site. To solve this, you just need to reactivate the theme as described:
– unregister theme – https://prnt.sc/fIdNdLjNXJai
– re-enter purchase code and register the theme
– go to Dashboard > Updates > click Check again link https://prnt.sc/yygl09
You may try to update the theme after that and you should not face any issue.

Your theme is not showing on my site when it needs to update. At the moment I am using the child theme V1 my theme is still at 9.0.2. I do not want to use the envato plugin as it has not been updated in 2 years. All my other themes I have purchased from themeforest let me know when an update is needed and I can do them all from the dashboard. I need to update the theme?

If you did not rename the theme, the update should be available. You can do the next, go to XStore > Welcome panel > unregister theme, then enter the purchase code and register it again. Go to Dashboard > Updates > click on Force check > update for XStore will appear in the list.
Or login to our site with your purchase code https://www.8theme.com/downloads/, download XStore – Installable Archive, go to Dashboard > Theems > Add new > Upload archive > Replace old theme version with the latest one.

It’s not recommended to rename the parent theme folder. If you rename the parent theme folder then you can’t automatically update the theme, and need to update the theme manually, for example via FTP.

I got a work around for it. I went to the settings of your theme (named now my new theme) went to the white label branding. on the CP I switched off Hide update notices : Then I went to the dashboard which told me I had updates for your theme. I updated and checked and everything okay. I then switched back on hide notice, so my client will not see it. This might help someone else.

A tip for duplicate header and Nav. Hi< we have been using xstore a while and have grown to like it. Replaced a magento store. So firstly thankyou for the theme. a duplicate header is appearing on all pages problem?. We noticed it is an unwanted possibility to have the normal menu and the mobile menu on desktop viewport. The cause fix: the fix is to switch on mobile optimisation in the general layout options. The cause is to deselect this option with the thinking to manually set the starting point width for mobile header. Hope this helps people RC
