Hi, i would like to know how to change the way the theme shows the categories menu in homepage. I’m trying to change it, but i can’t find how. I have programs / news / agenda etc, and all of them shows sub categories on the left (only five) and images of posts.
It’s understandable my question?

We have an issue with the YouTube videos list.
Before the updates, used to showed thumbnails, titles and duration, but now only shows the thumbnail. Is there any solution?

Did you updated the Social Counter to the latest version? remove the current one and install the one which comes with v.6.1 from Newspaper -> Install Plugins. Change the id on Instagram to something else and then back to yours to speed up the process.

2. You have to adjust the css for some containers, add the following css in Theme Panel -> Custom CSS:

3. The css loads in a cascade and the latest one applies. Because of this for a second you may see the theme default css. This behavior cannot be changed, a solution for this would be to modify the default css inside ../Newspaper/style.css file.
4. Try the following css:
.td-slide-meta .td-post-views {
display: none;
}

We’ll try to find a solution for this but it’s not an easy task. When the css is at the top it loads first, then the html elements start to load and this effect doesn’t appear.
Speed Booster moves the css at the page bottom and it loads after the html, because of this you see how it applies on various elements, first the theme default css and then the custom one.

Verifica daca plugin-ul este activ. Speed Booster este configurat sa lucreze doar cu plugin-urile testate de noi, se poate modifica sa includa si alte plugin-uri. For some languages the function which counts the words doesn’t work fine and for them we included the option to count the letters – http://screencast.com/t/PtD1ARmm
On mixt language posts you could use the letters and increase the excerpt. We will add an option for it in the Theme Panel in the next update, until then a solution may be to manually add a value in the code – http://screencast.com/t/iGHpERd16S1

I updated from 4.4 to 6.1 and it crippled my website! So I had to pay money for a backup of the old website and database. I was messing around for 9-10 hours with this “update” but still I had to backup the old template because the new one feels like “alpha”.
- Links were disapperaing on “hover” - Dropcaps and other formatings were not showing up - “HTML text” widget was not working with HTML Code - also I had to change manually the youtube-code so the videos were showing properly
All in all this “upgrade” was for me a big disappointment!
As you say “it is a completely new template” – yes, but please give it another name. For my website it was only a downgrade and a lot of messing around with bugs.

Thanks for your feedback, I agree with you that we should have done a better job with site migration to the new version but due tot he technical difference between 4 and 6 we could not import all the settings. From now on, maintaining backwards compatibility is our main priority and all of the decision will keep that into account.
We also support the old version with hotfixes and patches. Radu O.

It seems to be a css issue, the images shouldn’t be displayed like that. Try to disable all plugins, remove custom code/css and disable the CDN (if you use any). Then check if the issue is still there.
