Hi – posting this again, not sure if you missed it the first time
I’m experiencing an issue with the mobile nav.
The setup of the site is as such:
1) One-page using local-scroll in menu to scroll user to sections of the one-page 2) Testing on iPhone 6 plus 3) Sticky header (1)
When I activate the mobile nav on the iPhone 6 plus, the drawer toggles out. I tap a link that brings me to the last section on the page. This is when things go wrong.
1) When I again activate the mobile menu, the nav is tucked up beyond the edge of the top of the screen (please see screenshot.) meaning the first two nav links are inaccessible. It appears as though the farther you scroll down the page, the nav slowly disappears into the top of the screen.
Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/jJw7zIL.jpg
2) Tapping any of the links that are visible indicate you’re not actually clicking the link you think you are (In this case I tapped on “Contact” and as you can see by the darker box, the tap was way off), and in fact you go to the wrong section of the page.

3) This issue occurs only in Portrait mode. The nav is fine in landscape.
I hope the attached screenshots can shed some light on this issue and I very much appreciate your help. Thanks!
You’ll need to share the actual URL so I can have a look. I see you don’t have any text in the menu items only icons, it’s possible this is causing the issue, but it’s impossible to know whats up by looking at a screenshot only.
Hello, i have a problem with my portfolio items – i created 3 items suscessfully but when i want to go to the page it says “you broke the internet”. But the link seems correct and i can see the image in the portfolio gird.
here a link form my testserver: http://bonindesign.de/kunden/bonindesign/referenzen/If you are getting a 404 error there is an issue with your permalinks. First try going to Settings > Permalinks and re-saving your options to see if it fixes the issue.
thanks – fixed it – by resaving the permalinks
Great!
double post – sorry
Hello,
The past week or I so I have been having trouble editing all of my GO buttons. I click the edit icon, but just keep getting the continuous loading icon. All other elements are working perfeclty and are able to be edited, it’s just when it comes to the GO buttons. I have tried it as a frontend and backend edit, but both ways just continue with the loading icon. As far I can tell I am up to date with Wordpress, Total and all my plugins so am not sure what the problem could be. Thanks in advance!

“Go Button”? You mean “Button 1” and or “Button 2”? I tested locally and I don’t have any issue when I test and no one else has reported the error so it sounds like it’s only on your site.
I don’t see any javascript error on the front-end which would cause these issues, of course you could still have an error while in the Visual Composer. Can you check your browser console to see if you have any errors?
Did you install any plugins recently that may be breaking things?
Is everything up to date? http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/changelog/
Hey there
When I create staff, on the staff page, only related staff show and not the image or copy from that staff member. What am I doing wrong?
Under customising staff in appearance, I do not have the options to auto post media or for image cropping as seen here http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/staff/
Here is my page: http://visservennote.co.za/wordpress/staff-member/izak-daniel-petrus-visser/
Thanks
Check your staff layout builder sounds like maybe all the sections are disabled – http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/staff-post-layout-builder/
There isn’t any auto media anymore because you can simply enable it via the builder blocks. I will update my docs – thanks for the heads up!
oh goodness, I had them all exactly in the reverse! And how do I make the text wrap next to the image on the page of the staff profile? Mine is sitting below the image: http://visservennote.co.za/wordpress/staff-member/izak-daniel-petrus-visser/ I would also like the LInkedin and email and phone to show up… can’t seem to find this. Thanks

Hello, If I were to use one of the demos like Construct as the basis for my site, would I still be able to make customisations to its layout, e.g. use a video instead of images for the large header? Thanks
Also- sorry to bother you again – is there a PSD of the homepage available so I can create a mockup? Thank you
It’s ok – found the PSD thanks.
Of course you can make edits, the theme includes a full-on page builder so you can easily tweak the design.
Hello, please one question.
how i can set the thumbnails images of related post with the same width and height?
I set this on CSS but the images are stretched
Thanks
If you use CSS the quality won’t stay the same because CSS doesn’t crop images
You will have to set a fixed height/width for your images at Theme Panel > Image Sizes
Hi,
Just wondering, I can’t change between Fullscreen and boxed layout for my website. Nothing happens with the design, when I try to change. its the latest version of the theme,
best regards Richard
Hi Richard,
Can you show me the URL in question so I can have a look at the issue? Thanks!
Hello,
is it possible to include Xing as a social media icon on the site?
Thanks Dave
Hi Dave,
You mean in the top bar? Yes the option is included in the Customizer. Example result – http://cl.ly/image/3G2W0K2L192u
I have read your support threads here and I have searched the BuddyPress questions and responses. At one point you said that you would add BuddyPress support in the theme if enough people asked for it.
Then you said that BuddyPress adds to much bloat to the theme. Yet, you have bbPress integration which requires more files than BuddyPress.
I find it odd someone who creates a 15.5mb theme (before adding the plugins included with the theme) would be concerned about bloat. Are you going to add BuddyPress integration? There are actually more than 100,000 active installs of BuddyPress. Are none of them potential customers?
The reason I am asking this question is because BuddyPress has been evolving and there are more and more people interested in BuddyPress lately. Especially given the alternatives which still don’t live up to their claims of being equal to or better than BuddyPress.
Hi there,
Actually bbPress support is very simply the Total theme only needs to add a small stylesheet to get it working smoothly. BuddyPress has a lot more functionality that would need tweaking (much later custom CSS file – and making buddyPress responsive isn’t as easy as one would think) as well as I know customers will start requesting a lot of Customizer options for it and updates to the theme (ex, such as adding login/login and avatars to the header). From my experience customers don’t just want the default buddyPress features but they want extra functionality when the plugin is active.
I have no idea what you mean about 15.5mb because Total is no where near that size…with the included plugins it’s 8.8MB (and the plugins are around 5MB of it). But even still just because a theme is large in file size (which Total isn’t) it doesn’t mean it’s bloated.
That said, I do have it added in my Todo list and if you purchase the theme and activate buddyPress you will see it works fine it just doesn’t look as good as one would like – http://cl.ly/image/3J1X053W2Z0o – there really shouldn’t be any issues using the plugin with the theme as is. But I don’t feel comfortable saying it’s “compatible” until I have checked everything, tested everything and made necessary tweaks.
I appreciate your interest in the Total theme and if you purchase it before I declare full support for buddyPress and you run into any issues while using it I’ll help ya out, just let me know.

Thanks for your response. I’m not really happy with the idea of someone looking for all the reasons not to do something. For $5.00 more, I just went with Kleo. Thanks again for responding.
We’ll good luck with your project. I’m sorry you are missing out on Total
That’s obviously your choice. I was interested. LOL
Hi, I have a problem where breadcrumbs do not show the full path for pages even with defined parents. I know this is a bug from another comment. My question is when is your plan to release a fix. My website is still under development but if it takes long i would prefer to manually fix this problem.
Since this is not really a big issue I won’t be pushing out an update just for this, it will be included in the next big update.
If you need the fix sooner send me a private message and I will email you the fixed file.

You can message me privately via the form on this page – http://themeforest.net/user/WPExplorer – and I will respond via email. Make sure to send me all pertinent data and context so we can get this sorted in a timely manner. A link to the original comment works
It’s fine don’t worry I will wait for the next update. If i am ready for release and update is not released yet, i will then contact you. Thanks.
Hi!! I removed the page title but the margin also disappeared. I used the following to make room between a post title and the menu:
body.page-header-disabled #main { padding-top: 20px; }
However, it seems to affect all the pages, also the one I use for homepage. Is it possible to make exceptions on certain pages, or is there any other way to maintain the margin without the page title?
This code will affect any page where the header is disabled only because you are targeting the “page-header-disabled” class specifically.
Honestly I can’t really recommend the best solution for you without looking at your site and known what you are trying to accomplish exactly.
If there are a few pages you don’t want this then add some custom CSS for those…
body.page-header-disabled.page-id-123 #main { padding-top: 0; }
how do i replicate the bottom bar in the Samus demo theme? The one that includes About Samus, Recent News, Categories, and Follow Us? I don’t want to import sample data because it will screw with the custom work on my website.
These are just widgets – http://cl.ly/image/3w2y1q3Z1x27
Widgets aren’t imported with Sample data anyway
Hi, i have a question:
Im using the header #3 but i want put the logo in the left and text in the right, how can i modified that? thanks
You could use Header Style 2 which works like that already by default.
Otherwise to move the logo and the text you’ll need to float them using custom CSS – http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/making-css-edits/
Hi, I recently purchased the Total theme. But when I use a ‘User Role Editor’ to make a copy of the administrator roles, and assign that to a user, then that user has only two tabs on the theme panel: (Theme panel and Import/Export) and all the other options are gone. The new user is allowed to do everything, but I want to prevent that he installs plugins or change themes. Is there a solution to fix this?
Kind regards, Martin Koole
Thank you for the purchase Martin.
I am not sure what’s going on here, maybe a bug in the plugin you are using to duplicate roles (wouldn’t it better to just add a little function to your site which excludes the user ID from the plugins/themes page?).
When you look at the sub-pages they are all added using the add_submenu_page function, example:
add_submenu_page(
WPEX_THEME_PANEL_SLUG,
__( '404 Page', 'wpex' ),
__( '404 Page', 'wpex' ),
'administrator',
WPEX_THEME_PANEL_SLUG .'-404',
array( $this, 'create_admin_page' )
);
They are all set for the “administrator” role so they should be available for use…
Thank you for your reply, it’s better idea indeed

I see that if you remove the Page Title from a page, the margin is now gone and all the content and sidebars are “stuck” to the bottom of the menu. I’ve been searching and I see that if you were to disable all Page Titles globally, simple CSS would fix it. I have done this, but now any page with a title enabled has a top margin.
I am only wanting it disabled on the home page and a few other sub-pages. Where would I find a solution to get a margin back when Page Title is disabled? I could not find with a search.
Thanks in advance!
This is 100% correct. The margin is added to the title itself, this is so you can have a slider or background row at the top of the page without having extra space between the header and the slider/background (like most the demo’s homepages).
If you look at the site’s body tag there is a class added for pages without a title called “page-header-disabled”. So you can apply some padding to the site only on the pages where it’s disabled. Example:
body.page-header-disabled #main { padding-top: 40px; }
But if you are disabling it only on a few pages and want some space at the top you can simply use the Visual Composer to add a space at the top.
You are awesome, that worked perfect! Would be great to have some sort of control in the Customizer down the road.
You are welcome
It’s such a simple thing to do via custom CSS and most people don’t need it so adding the setting to the customizer is just bloat which is why I have opted out of it.
I manually installed Visual Composer and it seems to work fine.
I think I may be missing custom modules for the Total theme though. Weren’t there some of those included? For example here’s my current site options: https://rogueeasyweb.tinytake.com/sf/MjA3ODI2XzEzMDYzMjE And here’s another site I have running total, which shows the additional VC modules I’m talking about: https://rogueeasyweb.tinytake.com/sf/MjA3ODI1XzEzMDYzMDA (way more options)My other issue was getting my site background image setup how I need it. For the background, this is the dev site: http://www.earthlyreligion.com/newsite/ I’m wanting to do a top, center, 100% width scrolling background image. Please direct to proper CSS.
Go to the “Theme Panel” and make sure the “Extensions” for the Visual Composer are enabled. Also check at Visual Composer > General Settings to make sure they are enabled for your user access rules.
Your background is probably going to look best the way it is now…but here is some custom CSS if you want (not 100% sure what it is you want exactly to do)
body {
background-size: 100% auto;
-moz-background-size: 100% auto;
-webkit-background-size: 100% auto;
background-position: center top;
}
Perfect, thank you.
Hi AJ
Hope you are well. I am having an issue with breadcrumbs in woo commerce they are working but when I browse the sub categories it is not showing the sub category in the breadcrumb Home >Shop>Components>Cooling when I go one more level deeper it shows Home>Shop>Components>CPU Fans and is missing the cooling for example any ideas how I fix this issue ?
Thanks Chris
Hi Chris,
To confirm because I am not really sure what you mean…Are you saying you can’t see the child categories?
that’s correct
Hi AJ any news on this at all m8
Hi,
I actually had a look and it should be displaying the child categories (it actually shows all categories) – http://totaltheme.wpengine.com/base/shop/fall-2013/white-lace-top/
It just doesn’t show it like this:
home > shop > parent cat > child cat > product
But rather with a comma:
home > shop > parent cat, child cat > product
Is this not the case on your site?
The reason is a product can belong to multiple child categories and parent categories so doing like this:
home > shop > parent cat > child cat > product
Can cause a lot of issues. So instead the theme just displays all the categories it belongs to separated by a comma.
Hi AJ this this what is happening the url is correct http://cpsystems.co.uk/product-categories/components/2-cooling/3-cpu-fans but if u look at the bread crumb it is on 4 levels deep and is missing CPU Fans from the bread crumb this is what is causing me the issue
Oh, you are talking about the taxonomy page (category archive). Ok I can fix this. Send me a pm if you want for the updated breadcrumbs file.

Actually you can email me, but I am not sure if i will be updating this. The way WordPress works is it returns only the top level parent when using get_queried_object, it looks like it’s going to require some bulky code to get all parent terms and I am not sure I want to add that. I’ll look into it a bit deeper after I get through all support comments.
ok no problem thank you
Hi AJ any developments on this at all Thanks Chris
This isn’t something I think I will be adding to the theme because of my explanation above. I added it to a backlog of potential updates but I have over 500 updates on my list so I don’t know when I will get to it since it’s not crucial.
Hi AJ
That’s fair enough but this is a crucial to my business and site nav. As I said I am more than happy to cover any development costs involved. My developer is happy to do this but seem silly as its your theme ect and we would have to take it apart just to see how it works to add the new function in. If not could you please point me in the right direction where we can add this ourselves.
Thanks Chris
Hi Chris,
You know what I was honestly still a bit confused as to what you needed and I re-read all the comments and know exactly what you are talking about and this is very important. I am working on the fix now and will email you shortly.

Hi AJ
I have sent u an email had an error in functions.php on line 706 when updated the breadcrumbs file you sent me and have attached a screenshot and my functions.php file
Thanks Chris
Will respond in a sec.
Hi Aj, I’ve got a bit of a bug with my drop down menu lists appearing behind the main page title on my site here: http://www.radon.co.uk/domestic/
I’ve tried adjusting the z-index of the site-header but no luck. Can you help me fix this?
Many Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
Unfortunately I don’t know why this would happen on your site, probably do to some other customizations but I can’t locate it quickly. Everything works fine on the default theme though…So probably best to just patch it. This should work:
body .page-header {
position: inherit;
}
Awesome thanks for this – the drop down is now above the page title – cool .. however it is still behind the main content for some reason – do you have another quick fix? really appreciate this
No worries all fixed! thanks for your help
I’m running Visual Composer v4.5.2 and Total v2.1.4 and noticed a bug in the rendering of classes on an element. It’s a very minor error but causes headaches nonetheless.
Two class names are incorrectly joined (vcex-background-stretchtypography-light), which should obviously be vcex-background-stretch typography-light (separated by a space).
At first I thought it was Visual Composer and submitted a ticket to them but they said it wasn’t in their code so following up with you now.
Thanks.
I got your email and responded there, thank you for letting me know
No problem. Thank you. Any thoughts on a timeline for the fix?
I don’t have an ETA for the next update (it’s a big one).
