Hello! I really love this theme and am planning to purchase it. I just had a few questions before I do.
1. When viewing the theme demo on an iPad in portrait mode the logo is not visible. This is happening on both iPad and iPad mini. Is this a bug and can this be fixed? The logo does show correctly when you view the demo in landscape mode.
2. My logo is more vertical and less horizontal like yours in the demo. I’m concerned that on mobile it will be too small to read. Can the mobile logo size be adjust so that it will be large enough to read?
3. On mobile devices, the 728×90 ad banner at the top disappears. Is there a way to change it so that this appears to users?
Great theme! Excited to hopefully use it.
Thanks!
Hi Andrew1582,
Thanks for the interest, I love that you love it!
1- Oops you are right, thanks for letting me know. I have fixed it and is working fine now
2- The logo should look fine, but if it didn’t I can help you adjust the CSS if needed.
3- That is an option in the theme options that I have enabled on the demo site. It is an option to hide the the header area on mobile to only use a logo in the navigation bar on mobile, but it can be shown if that is what you wanted.
Hope this info helps
Cubell
Thanks so much, Cubell! Regarding question #3 – do you have an example of what it would look like displaying the header area on mobile? Would the desktop version of the logo show? Or just the one with the navigation?
Also – is there a feature in the theme to embed an image slideshow into the body of a post – as opposed to the featured image slideshow?
Thanks again for taking the time to respond! I really appreciate it.
Hey again,
Its no problem!
3- I don’t have an example, but if you click on some of the URL’s some 15Zine users have shared here, you will see some with that option on. It’s literally the logo appearing under the nav bar and a responsive ad underneath.
And in the theme, you have an option to create a background featured image slideshow, where images fade from one to another and you can also have the gallery post type format which is a proper slide-gallery. The theme doesn’t have a gallery option for inside the post content area, because that would most likely require a shortcode, and if you ever changed theme in the future, you would have to go through all your posts and hunt for the shortcakes for that gallery option to change them/remove them. Otherwise your old posts with it will now output the literal code of the shortcode, which looks really unprofessional/broken.
I only include the bare minimum of shortcodes, and only because there are some users who demand them, but I’d really recommend against using theme shortcode for the reasons explained above and use dedicated plugins for them.
And with that said, there are lots of embed galleries you can use – Jetpack has one, there are also a couple free ones on the WordPress plugin repository, and there are some extra nice ones on CodeCanyon. And for as long as you have the plugin installed, the gallery will work and never change – avoiding any headaches in the future.
Hope this makes sense.

Just installed the theme. No justify option in post or page creation for text alignement? Are you kidding me? I’m starting to regret buying this theme if it doesn’t have even the basics elements.
Hi Chiran_george,
Thank you for choosing 15Zine. But i’m really confused by what you mean, because text alignment buttons (including Justify) are buttons included in every WordPress installation. They are part of WordPress’ TinyMCE toolbar. It sounds like you may have your toolbar set to hide some rows of tools, which is a WordPress option and nothing to do with the theme. Check this site out to see how to see all your toolbar which includes the justify button: http://bowesales.com/wordpress101/how-to-justify-text-with-wordpress/
Hope this helps.
Cubell
yes, you are right. my bad.
No problem
Hello
I just register in support page with wrong email , how can I change the email ?
Hi Dvlzgame,
What username did you use on the account? I can delete the account (if you want me to) so that you can re-create it with the right email.
Cubell
dvlzgame .. yes please
Done
Hi,
When using a grid at the top, when it goes to mobile the top grid item (of 3) ends up a bit squashed compared to the others and the text overflows.
Is it possible to make it the same size, or chop the edges off?
Cheers!
Hey again,
What device are you seeing that in and can you share your site URL to take a look?
Cubell
Is there any way at all to make the images in the fullscreen homepage section (Editor’s Picks in the demo), stay permanently dark? Because my site uses lighter images, the white font is almost impossible to read.
Hey ANT246,
Sure thing! copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
#cb-section-f .cb-module-block .cb-meta-style-2 img { opacity: 0.3;}
That will make it look like it does when you hover over it – hope this helps.

Hi Cubell,
Some posts aren’t showing the Related Posts correctly.
Instead of showing them on the slider (http://i.imgur.com/j9TF3Xm.png), they’re side by side (http://i.imgur.com/lvx2uBe.png).
This is my URL, in case you wanna check the content by yourself. http://jogazera.com.br/v3/
Thanks.
Hey again,
The related post module is coded to only show a slider if there are more than 2 related posts. If there are only two related posts, then even if you have set the related posts to use the slider option, it will show them static like that
Cubell
Thanks for the response.
Can I change the code, and force it to always use the slider? From the mobile perspective, it’s better show the related posts on slider, instead of static images.
Static on mobile: http://i.imgur.com/oIvNmOf.png Slider on mobile: http://i.imgur.com/Rmhklff.png
No problemo!
Yes you can change code to change it, however, on mobile it would only scroll one post, and on any other device you would get a slider that doesn’t slide. Whenever I see sites with sliders that don’t slide, to me it looks unprofessional and incomplete, which is why I coded it work that way. To change it though, edit core.php and look for ( count( $cb_related_posts ) < 4 ) and change the < 4 to < 2.
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Thanks Cubell,
It’s not that bad, as you can see here: http://jogazera.com.br/v3/entrevistamos-arthur-prd-jogador-profissional-de-csgo/
No problem! Your site looks fantastic, great job implementing the theme
I plan on adding a few “examples of sites using 15Zine” section to the theme description page here on Themeforest, can I add your URL once you finish it?
Cubell
Thanks Cubell, It will be a pleasure.
For now, this is a URL for testing only. The final layout will be released in a few weeks (when I finish all settings).
Hello again,
I found a problem in parallax posts with sidebar. The space on the left is bigger then the space on the right.
As you can see in this image: http://imgur.com/sZ4VlRO
Checking the code, I saw some differences between my page and your page. Mine: http://imgur.com/J7gpSQD Yours: http://imgur.com/tCh3Aoe
Can you verify, please?
This is my URL: http://jogazera.com.br/v3/entrevistamos-arthur-prd-jogador-profissional-de-csgo/ This is yours: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/videogames/nintendo-wii/tristique-senectus-et/
Thanks
Sounds great, let me know when you finish it all
I had a look, and a better comparison would be with a parallax post with sidebar like this one: http://15zine.cubellthemes.com/videogames/ps4/nulla-a-scelerisque/
And I think the main difference is that you have a background ad on, which I think is causing that. I will need to investigate the code, I will try do my best to fix it for the next update.
Cubell
Nice Cubell,
And one more thing. At the drag and drop page builder, how can I force to make posts offset in this section: “SECTION WITH LATEST GLOBAL POSTS + PAGINATION” ?
I want to make some posts offset, but this option is not available for this section (http://i.imgur.com/DtpOM5E.png).
Thanks
Also, can I deactivate this smooth laggy effect when I scroll down the page?
No problem
There is no offset option for that block yet, because it is a special block that works in a very special way, so the default offset doesn’t work at the moment. I am looking into it though and hope to add more options to that block (including offset option).
And I will add an option in the next update to turn off the smooth animation, thanks for the idea.

Hello, Awesome theme, I began the installation, and import demo content, but it doesn’t come with picture is it normal?
Hi Allonsrider,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine and for the kind words
Yes, that is normal – the demo content doesn’t include the photos from the demo. And this is because I bought licenses to use many of the images used on the demo site, and I am not allowed to share the images in any way. Hope this makes sense.
Cubell
How do you apply Google Analytics tracking code effectually and safely..
Hey Oneonembrey,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
There are lots of ways to do it, but I’d recommend installing Yoast’s plugin for it which adds lots of functionality to it all, check it out here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Hi, A question. I can’t seem to find out why my website looks smaller than the demo or any other site in this theme, when I open it in the same browser. The width of my site is set at 1200px. Any idea?
Hey Eefje123,
There is an option in the theme options to change the width of the site to make it smaller, double-check you haven’t changed that option. And if that isn’t it, could it be that your browser has it zoomed in? Try pressing ctrl + 0 on Windows and command + 0 on Mac to reset the zoom.
Cubell
Hello .. Would you please give me your email to contact you , because I can’t access the Support system , it is showed ” Something went wrong, please try again.”
Hi Dvlzgame,
The support site is running well, Envato was under attack (DDoS attack) and was causing issues, but they seem to be getting it under control now, you can read more about it here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/ongoing-ddos-attacks-on-envato-market-ftp-file-upload-affected/184299
If you try logging in again, it should all work now.
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
Thank you for the excellent template. I really enjoy working with it!
Hopefully you can help me with one issue. All the articles on my website show there are 0 views. I’ve already installed the Jetplug plugin and activated the stats (trending items does work), but it still says 0 views in article. Even though the stats in Jetpug state there are views measured.
Did you come across this bug before? Hopefully you have some tips for me to solve this.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Fscjasper,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine and for the kind words, really happy you’re enjoying using it
The only thing I can think of is that your cache plugin (do you have one installed?) is causing that. Did you try refreshing/deleting your cache to test? Did you try disabling every plugin except JetPack too?
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
Thanks for the quick reply!
Can it be possible that the views in ‘trending’ are different than the views in article? Maybe they update later? I’ve tried deleting my cache but it made no difference. Also I only use the essential plugins; those who comes with the template and Yoast.
Maybe I’m just impatient?
No problem, happy to help
The trending menu and views in articles get the view count from the same source, so that’s what makes it weird! Can you share your site URL to take a look?
Cubell
Hi Cubell,
I recently purchased 15zine, and I need some help to make a few customizations.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to change the CSS style of the Mega Menu itens.
From this: http://i.imgur.com/AEJXti4.jpg To this: http://i.imgur.com/cqZf3nu.jpg
The CSS style of the “Trending” Mega Menu is better to me (with the text over the image).
Thanks.
Hey Blankenho,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it.
I’m afraid that isn’t an option, the CSS for the megamenus are the way they are, but I may consider adding a new option in the theme options to make them look more like the Trending one. Thanks for the idea!
Cubell
Hi There,
Great theme! Is there anyway to make the top nav disappear when scrolling through a post? Right now, it stays static on desktop, but scrolls out of the screen on mobile/ipad. I would like it to scroll out of the screen on desktop as well, instead of staying static at the top of the page while you scroll through the post.
Also, I noticed the top nave menu changes when you are viewing a post. On the homepage, the logo sits above the menu options, when you click on a post the logo is aligned with the menu options. How do I get this to happen? Right now, when I click on a post the logo still appears above the menu options.
www.knight.st
Thanks
Hi,
I figured out my two questions above. My next question is:
Is there a way that I can remove the date and author from the previews on the homepage? I am fine having them on the post, or on the category pages, but i would like to only show the title for posts that appear on the homepage.
Thanks
Hey again,
Happy you got those sorted. There is an option in the theme options -> Extras to only show the by line under the post title inside the post (so it wouldn’t appear on the homepage). Hope this helps.
Cubell
Thanks, that worked perfectly!
Last question (for now :)) -
On my site www.knight.st some of the thumbnails on the homepage are cropped and show a black bar at the bottom, while some don’t show this bar? On the demo I dont see any black bars either.
How do I get rid of this black bar?
Thanks
Hey again,
You’re welcome! And the images aren’t showing black bars, what is happening is your images are not regenerated, so they don’t have the right size thumbnail. And when this happens, WordPress simply feeds the theme the original image size, which is uncropped and as such, doesn’t have specific proportions for the space it goes in = empty space below. Regenerate your images using the regeneration thumbnail plugin to fix it.
Cubell
Perfect! I thought when I activated the regenerate plug-in it would automatically work. Didnt know I had to go into the media and apply it as an action. Thanks
OK – my last issue right now is my footer. All the footer information is aligning on the left side. It looks fine on mobile but not on desktop. i can’t seem to edit or change this in any of the footer options. Any idea? Thanks
No problem! I had a look at your footer, and you have added all your widgets to footer 3, why is that? You should spread them out in the three footer options you have in Appearance -> Widgets. On mobile they will still look the same.
Cubell
Hey,
I recently purchased 15zine and I’m moving over my posts from Shopify, my temporary domain is dev.trancelife.us, I’m still learning Wordpress but great job on the theme!
My question refers to clicking the pages option on the “latest articles” section of the homepage, how would I go about repairing that?
Additionally, I went to register on your site, but it’s not accepting my purchase code. Any suggestion on that? I purchased the theme less than 2 days ago so I figured it might be factored by purchase date.
The error seemed to fix itself, but is there anyway to remove to top navigation bar completely from the site with custom code? I don’t see an option to turn it off in the theme settings or maybe I’m not looking in the right place. Thanks for the help!
Hey TranclifeUS,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine and for the kind words
The top menu doesn’t show if you don’t have anything it it, for example, a menu set to the Top menu in Appearance -> Menus, or the search/login icons in the top right of the menu. Have you got it empty?
Cubell
I deleted everything in the top menu and then selected it for the top menu in Appearance -> Menus, how do I remove it completely? I dont’ want the search/login icons on the top at all when people visit the site. Thanks for the help!
Hey again,
No problem! If you have a top menu set in Appearance -> Menus, then the top menu will output, you need to unset the menu from the top menu location and then the top menu won’t load at all on your site.
Hope this helps!
Cubell
Hey sorry to be annoying, but I’ve removed the top menu in the backend and it still shows on the site =/
You’re not being annoying
What version of 15Zine are you using? Are you using v1.3? And can you share your site URL to take a look?
Cubell
I’m using 1.3.1 and I’m building my new site on the temporary domain of: dev.trancelife.us
Additionally, if you could provide some insights on how to get the whole site to load faster, that would be a huge help. I’m a graphic designer, so I really do not know much about website design.
And one last thing, I’m having issues with installing the Envato Toolkit, every time I activate it, my WP backend stops working =/
I had a look and you are showing the search/login icons, that is why you have the top menu. Go into your Theme Options and turn off those icons and it will all disappear.
And regarding the Envato Toolkit, that plugin was created by Envato and it is unfortunately slightly buggy on some servers, however, they literally released a new update yesterday where they mention fixing some bugs with some servers, so I will include it in the next theme update and hopefully you can use it then.
Cubell
Thank you for that, fixed it perfectly. Additionally, do you have any suggestions on how to speed up the page load time on mobile devices?
Hi again,
You’re welcome, happy I could help
The best way to speed up a WordPress site is to install a good cache plugin, such as W3 Total Cache, however, the most important thing for loading speeds is (and always has been) how optimized your images are. To optimize images properly the ideal way is through software like Photoshop. In there you can use an option called “Save for web” which creates an optimized copy of your image that looks pretty much identical but is considerably smaller in file size. You can also install image optimizing plugins such as Smush.it.
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Thanks! I have W3 Total Cache installed as well as Smush.it, but the mobile site still loads incredibly slow. I’m going to do the rest of the suggestions from PageSpeed Insights to the best of my ability. But do you suggest changing hosts to ones that are specifically tailored to Wordpress. Additionally, do you think a CDN is necessary?
One last thing, I’ve turned off the header logo for the mobile site, yet it still shows in the header and menu. Any ideas?
No problem! What score out of 100 is your mobile site getting? And what is the main cause mentioned, is it images optimization?
Cubell
Right now the mobile score is 55 and the desktop is 82. The two items that are in red for mobile are:
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content Optimize Images (But all of the files say ‘resize’ in them)
Also, how do I turn off the tracking in the trending menu, it shows a number and hearts, I’d prefer if it didn’t do that till later on lol
That makes sense, as responsive websites load the image files for desktop and mobile, and use CSS to shrink the images to fit in the mobile screen, you can’t really do anything about that. And JS/CSS files are added by WordPress, the theme and by plugins, so by nature there will be multiple files loaded. The only way to improve that is to install a plugin such as autoptimize to try to combine files into one. Although add “jquery.js” to the list of ignored files so that it doesn’t touch that.
To hide trending count in megamenu, copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:
.cb-mega-trending ul li .cb-meta .cb-post-views { display: none; }
Should do the trick
Cubell
Cubell,
Thanks! That worked perfectly for the Trending menu. With autoptimize, I can run that with W3 Total Cache or in lieu of? Is there anyway I could get the exported settings for W3 from 15zine.cubellthemes.com? Because that seems to have great mobile load time. Would you be able to assist me in the setup of the Autoptimize and W3 settings?
Hey again,
No problem, I answered in your ticket
Cubell
Hi,
Iv recently downloaded the theme. Its brilliant so far, so thank you.
I would have posted this in the support forum but for some reason I cannot login as it says either my Marketplace name or Purchase Code are wrong when neither are.
Anyway, the only thing I would like to change on the theme is to be able to have the Post Title on the Post page at either the bottom of the feature image or below it as I dont really want it in the middle of the feature image. Is there any way of doing this? Im new to website design so if you could break it down for me please.
Thanks
Daniel
Hey Daniel,
Thanks very much for your kind words and for choosing 15Zine
I think the reason for that is that Envato servers were being attacked (ddos attack, you can read a bit about it here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/ongoing-ddos-attacks-on-envato-market-ftp-file-upload-affected/184299 ) and so the validity of codes weren’t working. But it should be working now if you try again.
I’m afraid that it isn’t an easy thing to change (requires quite extensive code changes), however, I do have plans on trying to add more options to control the location of the title on featured image styles, and even though I can’t promise 100% it will happen, I do want to do it and will definitely try!
Cubell
Hi. First I have to say this is a very beautiful theme. I am thinking of using it for my website but I need to know if the template supports Farsi/Persian language and do I need a lot of coding in order to use it. Also can I use my own font. Thanks
Hi Soshah,
Thanks for the interest in 15Zine and for the kind words
The does support RTL languages, all you need to do is install your site in your language, and if it is an RTL language, the theme will automatically load the RTL stylesheet and work that way.
And the theme requires literally zero coding from you to work. You can even check out the documentation here: http://docs.cubellthemes.com/15zine to get a better idea of how the theme works.
And yes, you can definitely use your own fonts too. If you want to use Google Early Access fonts, you would simply copy/paste the Link (@import line) into the theme’s Theme Option -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box. And then go to Theme Options -> Typography, and enter the font-family name in the relevant options and the theme will automatically use that font in those places.
I hope this helps.
Cubell
Is there any way of targeting a particular pages CSS? I.e. say on page ‘fashion’ I could display:none for the article date. But not on any other page?
Hey Sp0rk,
There sure is, simply do it like this:
.page-id-123 .cb-date { display: none !important; }
And replace the 123 for the ID of that page, and that css will only target that page.
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Thank you! Perfect – didn’t spot the ID when I was looking.
You’re welcome
Hi, on the theme page, how do I get the author’s job title to appear just like it does on the demo page? Right now, it simply shows me their name and bio- no title or social media icons.
Hey Ant246,
Thanks for choosing 15Zine, I hope you enjoy using it
You need to edit the user profile in your WordPress backend, and you will see the social options and the job title option too, simply enter the info there and it will automatically appear on the site
Cubell
Hola!
Is there a way to increase the length of blog excerpts? Specifically on Blog Style D? I think it’s limited to 160 characters right now, but I’m not sure…
Thanks!
Hi again,
The only way is to edit the blog style d php file, and you will see a 160 value that you can increase there.
Hope this helps.
Cubell
Also, where exactly do I apply this filter for controlling the number of posts displayed in the megamenu? Referring to this:
- ADDED: New filters to change a number of posts displayed in megamenu. Simply return a number using: Megamenu with submenu and posts: ‘cb-mm-with-menu-number-posts’ and megamenus with only posts: ‘cb-mm-number-posts’. Default: ‘3’.
Hey again,
That is a filter that you can insert in your child-theme’s functions.php (you need to be using the child-theme to use filters the correct way). And you’d simply paste this in the functions.php:
function override_mm_number() { return 4; }
add_filter( 'cb-mm-number-posts', 'override_mm_number' );
And it will show 4 posts instead of 3.
I hope this helps.
