Hello, I need some help! I’m trying and trying for hours … but whenever I choose a row layout, there is still on the right side a certain space or invisible object which does not allow me to center all the elements properly. There isn’t a built-in setting it seems (i’ll add it in the next update). But you can hide it with CSS for now:

Footer does not appear “Appearance > Customize > Footer.” Prior to the lost of the footer in the Customize menu I trashed all the pages that came with the theme. Your help is greatly appreciated.
I restored all the pages in the trash folder and the footer still is not listed under the customize menu and footer does not appear in customize under the theme panel. FYI – when I use visual composer I can see the footer.
Footer is not list under theme features in the theme panel.
Go to Theme Panel > Customizer and make sure you’ve enabled that section for the Customizer.
I just saw your latest review. I have actually answered all your questions. I had to leave for personal reasons – but I am back now. Support is a HUGE concern of mine and take it very seriously. Unfortunately sometimes life happens…

Why? Just why? Why would anyone use anything else. I’ve always hated doing website work for clients, but this theme just takes all the hard work out of it. I’ve barely scratched the surface with regards to features, but I’m happy and the client’s happy.

The problem is you are using the Visual Composer below the image so it won’t work. I would recommend either not using the Visual Composer for the content (just use standard text) or to add the image directly using the Visual Composer and disable the auto display.

Visual Composer is not working correctly at the moment. If I am working in frontend, many settings do not open at all like icon box, devider and many more. So I cannot really design new pages at the moment.
I already deinstalled and installed again. It is both vc and total the latest version. What can I do to solve this issue? Best regards

Is it possible to have the logo uploaded via the Customizer be served over https://?
That is, if we use WooCommerce which can “Force SSL” (https://) on checkout (where privacy is needed, etc.), we get the browser warning, “Your connection to example.com is encrypted with modern cryptography. However, this page includes other resources which are not secure. These resources can be viewed by others while in transit, and can be modified by an attacker to change the look of the page.”
The resource in question (via the Google Chrome Console) is the log we are using that we uploaded via the Customizer.

The theme uses esc_url() for the logo url output so it should display in HTTPS if everything is setup correctly.

Hi, I just updated something on my homepage and after updating the page settings was reset. When ever I start to update the page the Page Settings section is in default mode again and I have to change it before each update. Very annoying! Any idea why this is happening? Is that an error or how can I fix this? Thanks a lot for your reply!

I can’t recreate this issue at all. Did you also update your Visual Composer to the latest version – http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/updating-visual-composer/
If you want me to have a look for you since this isn’t a known issue you can sent me temp WP and FTP logins and I’ll do so. But I would also recommend first testing by disabling 3rd party plugins to see if any of them are breaking things (an outdated WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin has been known to cause this issue).

1. This page is using padding, the only way to alter the padding on mobile is via custom CSS. In the next update though there will be a new Visual Composer module though for full-height rows with centered text – coming very soon.
2. If you have a large logo you can limit the width via the max-width settings: http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/custom-logo/ and for more advanced tweaks you can use CSS of course

I would actually not use this method because the wp_is_mobile() function conflicts with a lot of caching plugins. The best way would be to copy partials/header/header-logo.php to your child theme (using same path) and adding the html for your new logo there with a unique class, this way you can just use media queries to show/hide logos accordingly.

Thinking about adding another option as well so you can remove all default actions from any of the hooks…but scared customers will click it then wonder why native theme functions aren’t working So most likely no.

Is there a way to download the templates for sample pages we like from the demo sites? For example if we wanted to load http://totaltheme.wpengine.com/base/home/homepage-19/ as a VC template then drag and drop our own content on top of it, do you have those available?

It would be a good idea to export them all as templates (good idea) I’ll add that to my todo list.
But remember the page settings (meta options) aren’t available in templates or in the sample data linked to above, it’s only going to be the actual content.

Hi. What could be wrong? After Total changed to making changes to the theme in the frontend customizer everything has gotten soooooo slow. It’s incredibly annoying and tedious. I’ve experienced it on every site I’ve built since the change came into effect regardless of connection and machine. I totally love Total but can’t work this way. I took me 2 min and 46 sek to update the footer. I’ve made a video demonstrating the problem.

Looking at the video I see the notice about an un-responsive script (one that isn’t part of the theme) this can definitely be the one causing issues. Have you tried de-activating 3rd party plugins to test and make sure that script isn’t coming from a plugin? Or have you setup any sort of CDN or minifying or caching function on your server that could be causing this error?
If you have all the customizer settings enabled (you can disable them at Theme Panel > Customize to speed things up as mentioned in the docs here http://wpexplorer-themes.com/total/docs/speeding-site/).
But even still it should only take about 5 seconds to load the customizer on a live site – http://cl.ly/061p270u1D2a – and once loaded it should be must faster since resources will be cached in your browser.
Thank you! I switched browser from Firefox to Chrome and now it is a little bit faster. Maybe the reason it also was slow was because I installed the W3 Total Cache.

I’m trying to make some improvements to speed it up more. However you can always go to Theme Panel > Customize and enable only the settings you will be working with which will make it super fast, instead of loading all the settings.
Hi there. An image grid on my blog has lightbox enabled, but it is not adjusting the image sizes for mobile responsiveness. See here on mobile: http://wp.me/p6m6a2-1ov The lightbox images aren’t being scaled down to fit the phone screen.

I’ll be happy to look for you but these pages are loading MASSIVE images and taking forever to load the page I would strongly urge you to trim down the images to a smaller size (maybe max 1000px wide) to speed up the site loading time (all of the grid and slider options in the Visual Composer have settings for image cropping ).
The portfolio images are already 1080 and the blog post images are already cropped to about 2000 px. I’ll consider cropping them again, but they load quickly enough for me. Now can you please address my question?
Hum…actually a lot of the photos on that first page you linked to are over 5,000px wide, such as this one > http://www.alexisrosephotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/DSC03014.jpg I have 1 gig internet speed but the server can’t server them that fast that’s why I recommended trimming them down (there is a setting in the Image Grid module for this).
Anyway..The first page has a javascript error that’s most likely causing the problem – http://cl.ly/image/3m3O2F0q1g3d – but it’s impossible to know where its coming from, you’ll need to go to the Theme Panel and disable the minify javascript setting so I can view the exact line returning an error and provide a solution.
