There are two ways to get the files. Method 1 one is through the auto updater which does require registration and setup. Method 2 is the traditional method and you can download the files from your themeforest account on downloads page. The above link has that info.

This will depend on what you changed and how you changed it. As long as you did the changes in a child theme you should be fine, but it would be dependent on many factors all of which are out of our control.

Hey guys, please… improve the Blog/Magazine aspects of Avada, add some new Shortcodes/Elements, new Single Post designs and an Magazine Demo for the next update.
It’s one of the only few things that I really miss in the theme.

More Single Post layouts (Wide Featured Image for example), more Elements to display the latest posts/custom lists (Tabbed Elements, for example) with more filters to control it and of course Post Sliders “metro-style” would be GREAT.
Some extra options to customize the Archives too, please!
The theme is great for almost every kind of site… but I miss a more magazine-feeling to use with all the other amazing features.

Aloha, great theme, thank you! Quick question. I have the recent works section running great however is there a time determined for ‘recent’ i.e., some of my older posts/products are falling off the recent works section and updating the post date puts them back.
How can I edit the time limit or date-range for ‘recent works’ section. Thank you.

The recent post shortcode and others works with the default WP post order, which is ordered by date.
If older posts fall off the grid then you can change the setting to show more posts at a time. What is happening is you may ahve it set to 8 posts, then when you add a 9th post it will drop the oldest one off. Edit the element on the page and insert a higher post number and you should be good

Hello, congrats on the new update , its awesome. One big issue I have with parallax effect on background images, its crashing, also on contact page my footer (that has also parallax effect) overlaps the google map during scroll. Something went wrong with paralax effect after update. Please help. Cheers.

Edit the Recent Posts Element and look for the meta option. You can change it to “no” to remove the comments meta from recent posts element.

Thanks for your reply. That also removes the date, which I would quite like to display. I notice the Blog Fusion Builder element allows you to select Yes or No for all the different meta data individually, but that has a different look. Any way around this for Recent Posts element? Thanks! Melanie

This fine tuning is currently only available for the blog element. But you can choose between 5 different layouts for it. Maybe that lets you create a look you like?
Alternatively you can use this CSS to get what you want:
.recent-posts-content .meta span {
display: none;
}
.recent-posts-content .meta span:first-child {
display: block;
}

Thank you! I appreciate the Custom CSS, as I know that isn’t normally covered in your support. The other reason I preferred to use the Recent Posts element is that I like the new Image Hover feature, which doesn’t appear to work on the Blog element.

Hi – Just looking through your list of great new features for 3.8.5! I’m building a website that has been ongoing for a few months and I’m trying to incorporate some of the new features, things like new content box design, but although I’ve upgraded I’m not seeing any of these new features in the WP admin in Fusion builder. I am using Avada child theme – could this be the problem?
Also trying to work out how you get the nice scrolling effect with elements appearing as you move down the page, as per this page http://theme-fusion.com/avada/whats-new-in-3-8-5/ I can’t seem to get the same effect to occur.

Hello again – sorry, I realised I had updated the theme, but not Fusion Core so I can now see those additional settings for Content Box.

Are you referring to the timeline content boxes? Add a content box and select the timeline layout from the layout dropdown.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I’m actually talking about the boxes on your What’s New page that display the Avada Hosting etc demos – they have an image, text and button. I guess you mean it takes a little time until the posts move into place? That is because the images etc. have to be loaded and then the posts can be moved to the correct positions. That is actually correct behaviour.

The active menu highlight I believe is what you are referring to. I think that may take some restructuring of code but am not positive. Our dev team that works through our support center will know for sure submit a ticket for us there.

I want people to be able to inquiry about portfolio items. For example, when they click on a portfolio item, I want either:
1. A button that says “Inquiry about this Item” and then have a popup with a form and a pre-populated subject field with the portfolio item name so when we get the email we know which one they are inquiring about.
2. A form right under the description with a pre-populated subject field with the portfolio item name.
I know I could create all separate forms for each portfolio item but I want to just create one form for all and have the subject be the name of the portfolio item.
Not sure if this is possible but just wanted to ask because I love this theme!

You could do this either way, but you will need to insert the button or form shortcode on each portfolio post. But you only need one form.
I recommend using Contact Form 7 to make the form, then you can insert the form directly on the page, or use a button and insert the form in a modal which will open as the button is clicked.
