Hello,
I´m trying to change the look of the blog post page.
It works, when I just set up a page and choose for example the blog-masonry.php for it.
But when I go to Dashbord > Options > Reading and tell wordpress to take this page as the Blog-Page… then all my changes on the blog-masonry.php are gone.
So I guess it takes another .php template then.. but which one? 
Hope you understand what I´m trying to explain.. its a bit difficult for me en english.

This is normal, settings from Admin panel > Reading will override settings for that page. So, solution is no to set any particular page to act as a blog page.

WHERE in the files is the LayerSlider plugin? I went through all the steps as advised installing the theme, activated the parent theme in order to activate required plugins. Visual Composer installed, but not LayerSlider. I cannot find the file within the download after purchasing your theme to be able to upload it manually.

Another question – Is there a way to control which parts of my rectangular (landscape) photos are cropped to squares in Portfolio’s “Featured Image” section?
Of course I could upload to “Featured Image” ready square thumbnail myself, but then on click – squared thumbnail will be shown in the lightbox and not the original (landscape image)

Unfortunately, there is no out of the box solution, this is how WP is functioning.
However, you can manually edit thumbnails. For example, lets say you’ve uploaded an image called image.jpg. In your server you will have multiple instances of this image, original and few of them cropped and resized. Names of those resized should be something like this: image-200×300.jpg, image-480×480.jpg etc. Pattern is original image name appended with size of thumbnail.
Now when you know this, you can use original image on your computer and manually create thumbnail cropped to suit your needs. Save new image via FTP client to your server replacing improperly cropped thumbnail.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. But when I click X on the last thumbnail picture left, the main button “Update Gallery” becomes inactive..

This is the most user-unfriendly and the most “hard-to-understand-what-is-where” theme I’ve ever seen. Please, how do I change/add portfolio images in “Home 11 / Portfolio” page? In visual composer section I see only “Portfolio list”. I click on “edit” but it won’t give me any options to change or add pictures.

Sorry, already figured this out. It looks like my approach to this kind of things is wrong. I’m used to more predictable and straightforward workflow like, – see this block – edit it, copy the code, change links, be happy) But this kind of theme definitely requires certain amount of time to get used to. As you have to really dive into the manual to understand what’s going on in this house )

If so, then yes, inside a tab you can add an image and, of course, you can choose where it will be placed.

Hello I purchased this theme a while back. I want to add a page that’s password protected but can order/purchase some items. I tried adding a page template and selected woo commerce and got this error:

Great theme, but absolutely not user friendly.. please help me I can’t change any background images of the main full screen slider even if I do change links and the text in corresponding fields. No matter what I change I still have those default 4 slides with predefined text.
What is Slide and what is Slider?
What is the difference between LayerSlider WP and Select Slider?
