You still need to supply a featured image for the project – there’s no functionality in place to grab a thumbnail from the video

Hello, I am having a lot of issues with the visual composer after updating. I am having sections that are not showing up on existing pages (built before the update). It’s happening often and intermittently. For example, I just added an image to a post and it doesnt show up in the VC but does in the text:

Hi Phil. A couple of questions please. 1) Regarding the Recent Projects element, I have it set to full width using the boxed layout. I adjusted the carousel auto setting in the init.js file to 4 ‘auto’ : 4 , but it’s still showing only 3 items. Any ideas. 2) I would like to request a white border option as an alternative to the full screen and boxed layout. This would allow for full screen layout, but still have boxed content. Themes like Ronneby, Border, and Bridge have this option. 3) Regarding custom fonts, it would be great if we could add them to the Admin Typography section. I know this can be done via css, but it’s so much cleaner using the Admin screens. Thanks again!

So, I’m still having a few problems with details, which I’m hoping to be able to resolve with your help. My site is at blogg.viktorhertz.com.
1. Is it possible to change when the whole site switches to mobile layout? I want to keep the regular header and menu as long as possible, before switching into mobile.. Now, it switches at 900px, but I’d like to make it change at 600px instead. Also, I would like the padding on the left to stay the same at all times, when changing the size of the browser- now, it keeps changing the spacing on the left- can I keep the same regular left-aligned layout at all times, except when switching to mobile?
2. My header logo keeps moving around when I change the size of the browser- I want it to stay at the exact same spot all the time, with the same top and bottom padding and margin, in the same size. Also, it moves a tiny bit to the left when I’m on another page, “WORK” for example- why is this, and how do I get rid of this?
3. There is a big gap between the header and my home slider at the landing page, when I decrease the browser and on mobile layout- how do I get rid of this unwanted space?
4. My portfolio headlines are supposed to be left-aligned, but now there is still a gap to the left- how do I make all h1 headlines to be aligned to the left? This seems to be a problem only with portfolio headlines, and not with regular pages’ headers..
5. Is there a way to disable the portfolio headlines? I want to have more control on the layout and space between the titles and the rest of the content in the portfolios, and just type them in manually on each portfolio item..
6. Is it possible to switch the mobile menu icon (hamburger) into regular text? I’d like to use the same font and size as in my regular menu, and just have the word ‘MENU’ instead of the hamburger icon..

1. This would require modding to the init.js file and the responsive.css file
2. If you keep your header on full width in the Salient options panel > header tab it should always hug the left of the screen
3. It seems you have a page header set on the page unintentionally, remove any colors you have set for that section on your edit page screen if there are any
4. Add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:.single .row .section-title {
padding-left: 0!important;
}
5.
.single-portfolio #page-header-bg, .project-title {
display: none!important;
}
6. This would require some modding to the header.php file in regards

Although, I still have some problems:
1. Ok, so you don’t have any further info/help/links to provide, on how to do this?
2. Did you mean to enable “Full width header”? In that case, it doesn’t work for me- the rest of the content is still on the same spot, with margin on the left.. Also, the header logo jumps back to the right at certain browser widths.. And, the menu text is also affected when decreasing the browser window- I’d want the spacing and layout to stay exactly the same, except for when it has to change to mobile layout..
3. Hmm, I’ve tried to remove the value for “Page Header Height”, but then the header just gets bigger.. And, “0” doesn’t work either.. How do I remove the chosen colors? There’s still a gap when switching to mobile..

The 1.9 version of Gravity Forms breaks the Visual Composer that comes with Salient … I’ve logged this issue with rocketgenius and they say it is an issue with the VC and theme, not Gravity Forms. Obviously need to get this fixed somehow!

Hi, I manage a client’s website with your theme. I was wondering, is it possible to add the Google Anayltics code as well as the Google Remarketing code to the ‘Google Analytics’ field in Salient > General settings? So these two scripts in one field?
Normally you place this code in Wordpress default footer.php but I guess when you update Wordpress core this code will get deleted.

All the pages in the demo are shown – however you could import other dummy data sets as well and mix and match
It would be SUPER AWESOME if, when the theme get’s updated, the child theme was updated to include parent theme styles following the best WP practices (using enqueue in child theme functions.php). We’ve mentioned this several times in the comments section and each following Salient update the child theme still uses the old CSS @import method. 
Correcting this is just that something extra we have to remember tweak when clients ask us to install/configure Salient. It would be nice if the child theme followed the current methods right out of the gate.

Maybe it’s just easier to create the pages and use a third party plugin to create a filterable grid based on standard page types?
You’ll still need to make each project item as normal through the portfolio post type but instead of putting the single content in there, create a separate static page for it. You can then link the project item to that other page through the external project URL input field available in your project edit page screen
I’d like to use the new Rev Slider V5 for several pages but still need a transparent mega-menu from the theme. Is there any way to have the light/dark skin switcher either 1. Recognize the colors of the rev slider images and change accordingly or 2. Force the navigation to stay white (possibly adding slight gradient to allow for dark and light tones

You’d have to go with the latter option – you can use the force transparent header option on your page where you’re using the slider and the nav will remain transparently over it in white
