Hey – as of v5.5 you’ll need to install and activate the Salient visual composer, you can do so in the appearance > install plugins section of your admin panel

Hey, Is is possible to make the header slim all the time ? like on apple website? Now it’s wide at the beginning, and it’s slim only when I scroll down the page, but I would like to deactivate this wide version and have only slim… Is it possible?

You can turn off the header resize effect in your header options tab and also set a lower value for the header padding e.g. “10”.

Hey – the current VC is included with the theme but it has Salient mods, so the main thing that could conflict possibly is css (styling)

Hi Salient,
We are experiencing some issues with scaling of images on different screen sizes on this page: http://31.24.134.106/~hbiumnorge/?page_id=2952
Right now the images aren’t scaling consistently, with some being taller than others, creating white spaces between images and text. We want each row to have an exact height and that content will react to the same frame / always fit perfectly with no white spaces.
Could you please give us a heads up on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance!

Ive been trying to get an answer and solution through your support portal with no joy. I keep getting asked to provide links, logins etc update the theme and VC and to comment out any custom CSS. I have done all of these and even removed the CSS and all I get in response is the problem Im having is down to my CSS. Slightly difficult when thats either none existent or minimal CSS.
It would seem that your header options have a number of issues. Ive been trialing it on two sites: Site 1: flutterby.enaod.co.uk Site 2: www.enaod.co.uk
It would appear that your Off-Canvas menu has a few bugs. As you can see on Site 1 the padding at the bottom of the header is really tight to the menu hamburger and the logo. When I make the header transparent the nectar slider text then overlaps the header, logo and menu on tablet devices and smaller screens.
On Site 2 the hamburger menu is locked on black and I can’t seem to make this a lighter colour, mainly want white. When the site does to mobile and smaller screen sizes the logos ‘0’ padding gets removed so the logo floats when I want to be butted to the top of the site and it gets cropped off at the bottom.
I have tried all the options in the Salient control panel and even tried dabbling with some CSS and can’t seem to resolve it.
Happy to deal with this on my support ticket but do need helpful responses and need my tickets to be left open and not closed if they haven’t been dealt with as I seem to end up waiting long periods between responses. Been trying to resolve this for 11 days now.

1. A temp fix for this would be to set your skin to “ascend” in the general settings tab of your Salient options panel
2. When using the perm transparent header option it will inherit the row text color settings (light or dark) and will only allow a light to go through when using a full width background row type or full width content row type – set your row to one of those and also the font color to light

Just redoing my agency site with the agency theme. Lovin the html5 dots, i used them; www.splashmobile.co.nz
But want to remove the whole heading bit if the viewer is on mobile phone, as it doesnt load well, looks like crap. Great for desktop with a good connection though.
Anyways, do you have some CSS that will remove the header when viewed on a mobile screen size only? Ie. header particle will stay if above x size.

1. When using the box roll effect it wouldn’t be possible to remove it all together for mobile, you could however set a BG image instead:

Hi, I used Salient theme (http://www.eleyva.com/) and works great on desktop (Mozilla Firefox) but on Chrome and Safari I can not see my portfolio pictures. Also I have some problems with the header menu on mobile (school projects, and flyers). I hope you can help me, Thank you!.
I found the fix… just renaming all media files avoiding capitalized letters, numbers and complex characters… just using underscore (_)

Your latest update has broken our site a little and removed a lot of the formatting.
https://www.axiski.comHeader is now white and fonts have reverted back – footer formatting is missing – Half the site when scrolling down has a weird margin…
Any ideas please.
UPDATE
I went into the theme settings and hit ’’save settings’’ as all my old formatting was still there and seems to have reverted back. Interesting bug that. Had me worried.

Hey – if you’re using the “Move Dynamic/Custom CSS Into External Stylesheet” option you will indeed need to resave your theme options after updating to rewrite the stylesheet

I’ve got this persisting problem for a few months but now it really got on my nerves. I’ve have installed Yoast SEO, I’ve got Open Graph enabled, but after I upload a customized different photo for Facebook link image for my blog post it can take up to few days that when someone clicks Share on the page, it shows the customized image.
I’ve got another site with another theme and there the photo changes in a matter of minutes not hours or days. 
I know that Salient is compatible with this plugin, but I have no idea what to do anymore and is really annoying. Do you have any idea where the solution for this could be?

Yes, now the FB photo is updated. What should I do the next time, so the photo would be updated in minutes (like on my other page) and not in hours or days like here on this page, where I have the Salient theme?
