Hi. We are experiencing some weird display issues with V6.1.2 and I wanted to check if these have already been addressed in the latest version V6.1.4:
1. On single portfolio pages, the top of the content on the left is no longer vertically aligned with the top of the sharing icons. The left content is noticeably lower. http://hingedigital.com/projects/florida-hospital-this-is-inspired-health/
2. PrettyPhoto pop-ups of our video links are no longer open centered in the screen. They are shifted down beyond the bottom of the screen requiring the user to scroll down each time. Click on any of the thumbnails on this page to see the behavior: http://hingedigital.com/directors/slater-dixon/
3. When creating a new portfolio page, the page is in default “Classic Mode”. However, when scrolling down to where the “Extra Content” editor should be, the the visual composer is in it’s place showing the “Template” UI. After toggling the “Classic Mode/Page Builder” button, the Extra Content editor shows up again. This becomes particularly confusing when you try to use the Template UI and saving the page, without first switching to “Page Builder”. When re-editing the page, the Template UI shows up again, but none of the VC content is there. Clicking the “Page Builder” button reveals the VC content.

4. Nectar Slider load issues: The first slide on our main page nectar slide is always slow to load, especially in Safari for OSX. See the grid for several seconds, then it crossfades to the next slide. Is it ok to only use MP4s in the slides, instead of OGV and WEBM? trying to minimized load time by using 640×360 mp4s.
5. Upgrading customized site is tedious. i have done some customizations to shortcode-processing.php to add “client” name on the portfolio thumbnail overlay text. I also use a child theme to override/customize several pages including, single-portfolio.php, taxonomy-project-client.php, template-portfolio.php and added functions in functions.php. Each time I upgrade to a new version of Salient, I have to do a file comparison between your new code for these pages and my modified pages to make the changes again. Is there a better, more modular, less painful way to do this?

4. That size is definitely small enough so it’s not the issue, have you tried to see if turning the looped option off helps?
5. Mods to the core theme files will need to be reapplied but the items in your child theme don’t change very often
4. Turning off loop doesn’t seem to make a difference. However, we definitely want to have looping.
5. Ok. Just updated to 6.1.5 and changed the necessary files again. I also changed the child theme files to match your news ones.
Hey, any thoughts as to why I can’t change the color of my Site Header when permanent transparency is turned on? It remains black and only changes to my custom options when I turn permanent transparency off… Thanks in advance!
Hey the permanent transparent only allows light/dark for the color scheme as of now but i’ve noted this for future releases

Hey I have couple questions 1) How can I update my Salient to the newest one? it’s v6.0.1 which has some bugs with menu (submenu). And there is new one version 6.1.4. When I do upload it from the link on this site, it’s old one
2) Second question. I want my single post be boxed while reading, but whole website – full width. I’ve tried to make boxed website with full width pages made in Visual Composer. But didn’t work. 1. The current version is available from ThemeForest, you could either download the theme again from here, delete the old one and upload the new or you could use the Envato toolkit plugin

I removed “more details” button. Without the button, each thumb nail has no link. Is there any way to make links to each thumb nail? (To make links available anywhere/ overall on the thumb nail)

since I’ve updated to 6.1.3 I’ve noticed 2 bugs:
1.) Padding (or margin?) at the top of TABS are different in FIrefox compared to Chrome and IE.

2.) I’ve tried to control my site in Firefox 34 and now the problem with ext Chars loading Open Sans occurs in older Firefox versions (Release Date Version 34 Dec. 2014). Firefox 40, IE, Chrome and Opera are working fine, but Firefox 34 … I’ve tried to reset Custom Fonts but I am not able to fix this. BTW if I turn off “Custom Fonts” Chrome doesn’t show Open Sans any longer …

Just noted something else. In Version 5.5.3 I was able to use HTML-Code inside the Content Headlines of a tab in case because I want to use bold font-weight side by side with Regular font-weight. This is now impossible – do you know why?
Example:

It lloks fine by now but if I want to edit and resave the code will be displayed instead of the bold font-weight. All not touched toggles are displayed correct (as you see in my example) But it’s not a big issue …

I’m planning on purchasing your theme this week and have got a quick prepurchase question regarding the pricing tables. Had a look on your agency demo and discovered that the currency symbol of course (since it is in US dollars) was placed before the price amount. In Scandinavia we normally prefer to place the symbol (kr) after the price amount. I just wonder if this option comes with your theme?
In addition, I really want to know if your theme ships with any conversion forms and/or subscribe forms so that potential customers can leave their contact information. If not, are you aware of any good plug-ins that solves this?
And the last question, is it possible to place a company logo in the footer area?

Hi! I’m having some trouble using the off-canvas menu, and i really can’t find what’s wrong… the icon for this menu doesn’t seem to follow the padding information I set on header settings – it always stays right up on the page. And when i use it, the logo disappears…

I am helping someone with this theme (they purchased it on their account). I am trying to adjust the line-height of the nectar slider h2 text. It is in the dynamic-combined.css file. if I make the changes and upload them to the file, it will change itself back.
If I try to make the changes in the Salient > Custom CSS space, it does not override the dynamic-combined.css document.
What can I do to make the adjustment stay? Thanks.

You could make the changes with css if you used a more specific selector with !important – however you can also adjust the line height in the typography options tab in the Salient options panel
