Hi Laborator, how´s going? Great template, I´m pretty interested on it, but as rookie on these things I have a few questions. Could you help me if possible?
. Does it support animated gifs in the portfolio miniatures as well inside the single pages?
. Is the visual composer available in all the pages? Can we customise and play around with all the elements? (Case of the “about me” page – can we add animated gifs on it?
. In the portfolio is there any specific order or size how the miniatures show up? or can we define to have something like this? https://geekpics.net/3I3Y oh and by the way, can we define the size of white space between the miniatures?
. In terms of type, can we pick others fonts?

Firstly, sorry for the late answer as we were busy developing and releasing the new version of this theme which is 1.4.1 and we have made it even better.
Here are my answers to your questions:
1. Theme does support animated gif images, and also inside portfolio projects as well. Here are the examples:

2. Yes, Visual Composer is supported for Pages only, so whenever you create a Page in wordpress you can use VC in full functionality.
3. There are 3 types of portfolio layouts you can create:
http://drops.laborator.co/SvawBut also there is an extra layout type which has different functionality and supports different sizes of thumbnails and order. These examples are shown here:

But also you have the possibility to add custom font, Kalium also supports Typekit.

Hi,
Just upgraded to 1.4 and latest WP and JScomposer.
All my images have disappeared. It looks like the fading in style is not working. Each image has css ’.visibility-hidden’. I’m wondering if the js is not working?
I’ve tried uploading and overwriting theme files twice now.
This is for all theme controlled content: portfolio thumbs, port images, blog thumbs, blog images, masonry gallery. Standard images inserted through the normal WP media option are ok.
I’ve also tried tweaking the theme settings to disable the fade in effects but thats not helping.
Your help would be appreciated.

I just updated the Kalium Theme via envato toolkit as usual . Now I seem to have problems with the Intro page, Contact Page and VC Elements in the portfolio section. Can you please clarify a few things for me..
So I got an email saying there is an update and to “download the theme again and try to install it.”
I did, however it is already installed so you cannot install it again. I would have to delete the theme to install it again?
Won’t I lose all my settings, content and customizations?
So then I just updated via the Envato Toolkit, but that only updates the main theme and not the child theme. Does the child theme need updating, too, or does the new code and fixes carry over to the child?

If you have used Child Theme to make modifications, you should not have any problem.
Child theme doesn’t need to update. It is created once. Child theme uses Main theme, but child theme is used only to overwrite original theme without touching main files and if something goes wrong, it will not cause problems on the main files.

Can you please enable WP Debug Mode because I am not able to exactly know what kind of issue is this.
To turn on WP Debug Mode, follow these steps:
1. Open wp-config.php
2. Find WP_DEBUG constant (written as define('WP_DEBUG', false);)
3. Set value to true (define('WP_DEBUG', true);) and save file.
4. Go to the same page, refresh it and you will see a PHP warning or fatal error being display. Copy the error or better send me the screenshot so I will be able to understand what kind of issue is that and will give you proper fix to it.

Before I do that, I think it has something to do with updating the theme. I updated it, and now it says I have to update to Kalium 1.4.0 and I have 1.4. But I cannot update again in Evato toolkit. So now I canot update plugins VC and Layer slider. Could that be the issue here?

The wp-config is located in root files of WordPress.

First you need to access your servers directory where Wordpress is installed.
/public_html/wp-config.php its right in the main directory of your wordpress installation… For me my wordpress installation is in the root directory of my domain.
if it was installed in a sub-domain it would be /public_html/subdomainname/wp-config.php

Hi, Thanks for your effort. Finally, I could change the logo and menu color only for the home page after updating to version 1.4. However, 1 critical problem is happened after update. I’m making website based on the architecture demo and the left margin of home page go wrong after update. There is white gap on the left side and it is automatically fixed after resizing browser window. You can confirm this problem from my website http://www.simmdo.com . I could not find how to fix this problem. There was no problem at version 1.3. Thank you a lot!

It seems that a 1.4 version is available. I followed the video tutorial to know how to update the theme but when I am in Themes tab of the Envato section I don’t see any link or file to download the update. Could you help on that?

How are you displaying the portfolio items, via Portfolio page or via Portfolio elements in the Visual Composer, if you’re displaying them via Visual Composer then type -1 in the field where you should put a number of portoflio items to load.

First of all congrats on such a great looking designed theme.
We would love to use this theme for a project we are working on but it is essential it can have multiple portfolios.
We love the navigation of this theme and the way it displays content. Our project requires many portfolio categories and sub categories so the ability to navigate around the site easily is very important.
We can see you have the 4 squares icon to navigate back to the portfolio, this is great, but can this icon be set to navigate to the parenting page of that specific portfolio? (Not the overall portfolio).
If you could do this, your theme would hands down be the best!

Regarding the four blocks icon, currently there isn’t any other option than redirecting it to a custom link, that’s all you can do for now. We have had also some other suggestions regarding this and we will see what we can do in the next upcoming updates.

Is it possible to set a maximum widness to the website, so on a big screen people don’t juste see a full grey background ? (Like an adaptative border that get thicker when the screen is bigger ?)
Do you plan to let us put color badges on portfolio items on the portfolio grid (like “new”, or “Hot”, ...) Like you’ve got on your demo sites ?

Hello again,
I’ve run into my first issue. I have six items in my portfolio, each with a Featured Image so they show up on the page. Everything was working perfectly until last night.
I’m noticing now that the last portfolio item refuses to show up on the page. When I try to add more portfolio posts, they don’t show up either. I have tried deleting the original post from my portfolio and reposting it (Featured Image and all) but it still does not show up. I don’t remember doing anything to cause this problem and I have no idea how to fix it. I have attached some screenshots below:

Update: I found that if I change the title of the portfolio item, the thumbnail shows up on the page so long as the title name starts with a letter at the top of the alphabet. Any title starting with a letter towards the end of the alphabet WILL NOT display. So for example, the title “Car Decals” works but “Vehicle Decals” does not.

Sorry for the long wait as we were working on new release of Kalium which is v1.4.1 and I suggest you to update to that version if you didn’t already.
We have improved the demo content importing to real 1-click installation. I suggest you to install new copy of WordPress and install Agency demo content pack from Laborator > Demo Content Install menu option. In one click you will manage to have everything set up just like in our demo website.
