Great theme but you have a lot of deprecated items – the only option for buttons, Tour, Accordion, Tabs, now is Visual Composer default which is limited in capabilities and doesn’t let me replicate items you showed on your pages. How soon do you think these elements will be updated so we can use them. Deploying a site in 10 days and would like to have them.

A number of the elements you show on your demo site have been deprecated by Visual Composer and are no longer available. For example – the only button now available doesn’t let you specify a hex or rgb color – as far as I can see – you can only select from about 15 predetermined colors (red, blue, baby blue, etc.). This is very limiting in trying to coordinate buttons with a site’s color scheme. (For example the yellow buttons you show are your site can’t be created unless you use a deprecated item which it kind of dangerous since it isn’t supported). The theme is great it’s just that some of what you depict on your demo site no longer works because those are visual composer elements that are no longer supported. It would be great if you had accordions, tours and tabs that were complementary to the site look and feel and provided some customization options.

V1.8 has the clean version of visual composer. This is why we have updated recently.
I upgraded to version 1.8 with Envato Toolkit and my version of Visual Composer is 4.5.1, the current is 4.7.4

1 – Just in hours we will release another version of BuildMe which will address this issue too.
2 – Custom CSS has to be added, you can use Inspector on Google Chrome to see which element has to be covered.
And about sidebars of category pages, must be read from default page sidebar settings, with little customization that must work as you wished.

In my Portfolio page, not all projects are appearing. I increased the Visible Item Count to 100, but only 10 projects show up. Is there another setting to allow all projects to appear in the Portfolio page. Also, the social media links do not go to my accounts. Please Help.

Since update to latest v1.7 Buildme, and latest visual composer (and with v1.6) the image / owl carousels just won’t work. On preview, no images show, even though when mouse over the blank spot, the links are still active

Oh dear. Using the Envato toolkit to update the theme did not work, because error message states the buildme folder already exists, failed to perform the update install. I thought per your notes that the Envato toolkit would UPDATE the theme, but this is not so. I tried the MasterSlider plugin as well, and Envato Toolkit says the update package is not available. So it seems I must go back to manual method, correct?

Just a note, in back end, latest Visual Composer has a conflict with essential grid. I use a plugin organizer to disable individual elements in Admin. I’ve notified WPBakery of the issue, and just letting you know as well Disabling Essential Grid plugin allows VC to work at back end. BUT, accordion remains “open” not folded at all. If Essential Grid is enabled the issue in back end this is result: Click to edit = nothing happens. Thought you would want to know… WP Bakery is working on multiple issues with their latest release, ie, conflict with WPML as well. Thanks, always. One more: Though I have updated VC to very latest (v 4.7) the elements in accordion state “You are using outdated element, it is deprecated since version 4.6.” So something in the theme is overriding the new VC…. ? All other elements I have tested thus far are up to date. Just the accordion. Maybe you can let me know where the accordion is called out in the theme, possibly in BuildMe Essentials? Resolved the above issue with accordion being “open” for all fields, by turning off optimized scripts/ css. Accordion is now closed
