Hey – you need to use the full size of the image. When adding your image scroll down to the bottom of the right hand side in the media manager window and find the size option under the “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” label

Hi Guys, i have 2 problemes with my theme :-/ (and i dont know why because it worked fine months ago). I have updatet the Theme etc. but i still have this issus.
1. All social media icons are not visible anymore. They are clickable but not visible. (Second Navigation + Portfolio)

Hey – after checking all plugins i have found the one who was causing this issue :-/. It worked perfect in the past but now its not compatible with the theme.

Yes – when you import a second dummy data set it will only import pages that don’t already exist so all of your current content will remain

I am looking to create a ‘one page’ website, with a few separate pages at the same time.
For example, my menu is :
Home About Features FAQ Contact
Can I have a one page scrolling effect for Home, About and Features – and then separate normal pages for FAQ and Contact? And when someone clicks ‘About’ from the menu on the FAQ page they are taken to that section on the homepage.

Hey – you can’t currently use a youtube video as a BG in the header like that but you could have one be full width (with no overlaid content) anywhere else you need in your pages

Dear Salient team, I want to incorporate wordpress blog into my magento shop and you blog theme/layout fits perfectly. I am pulling headers and footers from my magento store to have a complete store look but I want to use your body. I was wondering if this is possible because your header and footer effects are quite special. Thanks for the help

It depends on how you went about integration – it’s true that even if you used other header/footers you’d still need to at least get a good deal of the php code used in those files to have the site work in the body

Hi Salient, I love your theme, every features but the checkout, cart page I want to change.
For example, your order is now displayed beneath the page and I want it to on the top right. Just like www.lashaddict.nl for example. Add a product and go to the checkout page.
Is it possible to change the lay out page and structure and also the styling? Maybe there is a plugin or you guys have php code where we can tweak a little bit? Thank you
also the lay out and structure of the cart itself.

Great Theme! I have a question though. If I want the carousel to show more than three items at a time, is that possible? I will have a lot of items to cycle through and it would be better to have 5-6 at a time.

Hey – it would take a mod to the init.js file located in the js folder. Open that up and alter this section:

Guys are you just going to ignore my support ticket related to your improper woocommerce compatibility, and the fact that it causes plugins to not work. The inclusion of woocommrce.php in the theme folder turns out is the lazy way to do Woocommrce compatibility, and causes problems down the road….Any comment on that?
Hey, I’m unsure of where you read that using a woocommerce.php file is lazy but it’s only one piece of the WooCommerce integration Salient has – there are many other template files and hooks/filters used in order to achieve integration. However using a woocommerce.php file in general is indeed still listed on their docs as a step in beginning integration.
Since I don’t know what ticket you’re referring to could you kindly let me know the ticket ID so I can overlook it?

Yup, that’s super bad. It means your theme guy sucks, and he just hacked his theme to make it partially WooCommerce compatible.
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/ Note: When creating woocommerce.php in your theme’s folder, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template as woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php. This is intended to prevent display issues.In otherwords, you will be unable to customize the shop pages and use any hooks and filters on them, and about 1/2 to 2/3 of WooCommerce plugins will provide you with problems because of the theme not being fully WooCommerce compatible. If the theme guy cant fix his theme and actually do the work to make it truly WooCommerce compatible, you’ll need to switch themes.
If you want to remove the woocommerce.php file from the template you can, you’ll just have to open your functions.php file and change this:

to this:

Check the Nectar Slider “Fade” option with the latest version of Firefox that just came out (I’m on a Mac). Instead of fading to the next slide, it just shakes between each slide. I haven’t upgraded to the latest Salient version until a lot of the issues people are discussing have been resolved, but this new issue I just noticed has something to do with the latest Firefox that just came out and Salient 5.5.5

1- How can I replace shopping cart button on top with the phone number visible in mobile devices too.
2- E commerce demo shows 2 menu on the mobile devices while the agency shows only the canvas menu on the right cornet, how can I show the main menu on the left.

1. The best way to add a phone number is to use the secondary navigation bar available in your header options in the Salient options panel. You can then add a custom menu item into this location for your phone number in appearance > menues
2. Two menu options will be shown if you have menu items in the main nav and also an off canvas menu active – however the agency only has the off canvas menu with no normal menu items. If you’re just trying to change the side of your mobile menu icon please share your URL so I can take a look at your settings

Hey – yes, you can use whichever heading tag you need inside of the morphing outline and that could be controlled with the typography options tab. Also, inside of the element in VC there’s options for the “Starting Color” and “Hover Color”

I love this theme and have used it on several client projects over the last year, but after installing this theme to my own website I’m unable to get visual composer working. My site is hosted on Site Ground and is using WordPress 4.3.1 with the Salient Child Theme theme.
