Hello,

How can I put a specific category on a page?... I mean. When you create a page to load the gallery, the only option that appears is Gallery:Filtrable… but appears all the categories. I want to assign just one category to a page. How can I do that?

Firstly I think your themes are quite amazing! AMAZING!!! This is actually the second wordpress theme I have purchased from you…

[I originally made some horrible css changes to photolio, but now I am studying graphic design, so I think your design decisions are really good and I have restored most of the default css]

It is mostly working really well. So there are just a few things I would like to know about the vernissage theme:

1) I would like to change the 2 pixel grey outline around the portfolio thumbnail images on this page: http://www.lesliedeanbrown.com/illustration/portfolio/logo-design/

I have used the firefox inspector to find the css, which is displayed like this:

But I am really not sure where can I find this code in the actual files?

I have literally spent *hours and hours and hours looking for it in all the directories, but I assume some parts are dynamically generated… so I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction, even just which file it is that I need to change… I hope so! (pleeease?)

(media.php is not there in that directory as the comment says)

2) Also note that the gif images don’t appear to have a perfectly white background in the thumbnail size, but the png images are okay. I am not sure why that is.

The background of these images look a bit green. I have checked my original files and it is not a problem with my colour management settings. I have also turned off shortpixel image optimiser plugin and I still see the same result.

So is there a quick fix for this or do I need to re-upload all my files with the png format?

3) For the featured image or slideshow on the same page (not the background one, but the one in the content container which is 850 pixels wide), this does not display correctly on retina screens. Unfortunately it is not sharp. It looks blurry.

I know that I have solved this retina display issue on some of my other websites by showing an image at twice the size and displaying the width as half. For example, I would use an image 1000 pixels wide, 750 tall and simply display it with the img tag: width=”500” height=”375”. So both normal screens and retina screens look the same. Normal screens would download the image at twice the needed resolution…

I realise that this is probably the nivo slider code that you are using. Can you provide a simple fix for this? Or would I have to ask about this somewhere else?

This is for me the most important point, because as you probably know, people in the design industry are very fussy… especially art directors who are looking at my work. I don’t want them to think it is my illustration that is not sharp.

So if that can’t be fixed easily, I am thinking about just showing the thumbnails.

Note that all of the ‘supersize’ images display perfectly!

I really hope you can take the time to look at the issues I have presented here. I am sure I would purchase more things from you in future if I need them…

Hi, I purchased your theme today and have successfully installed. I have tried to make the main page as a video feature like in your example. I have tried both youtube and MP4 video upload but both seem like they are really poor quality. Can you please tell me how I can make this look very clear and crisp? Hello, I’m using polylang plugin. When I change page into not default language background slider doesn’t show(I’ve added slides in all languages). Do you know what is the reason, or how to fix it??

Can the website do this: 1 Home page— Carousel occupying full (or almost full) horizontal width but about half the vertical height of the screen with up to 10 images. Below the carousel are all the galleries listed by their gallery name in a row (e.g., Yosemite Grand Teton Natl Park Monument Valley ) with multiple rows as needed. I can sort the order. Footer with privacy policy, web designer etc.

2. Gallery tab—Unlimited public galleries. The images of the gallery list in masonry or mosaic format, gallery name visible or shows by mouse hover. I can sort gallery order. When a gallery is clicked, the images in each gallery also to be in Mosaic or masonry format, option for watermarking and buying each. Need slide show option to large screen size with interval set by viewer, and also clicking an image in the gallery expands it to large size with right and left arrows

3. Private Gallery— Unlimited private galleries that are available only to those I choose to give the link or give a user ID and pw specific for any gallery. These galleries are not visible to public and anyone with a the link or ID/pw can only see the gallery I gave them. Formatting same as public gallery above

Other Dumb question 1 What is the difference between a portfolio and gallery. Dumb question 2 Is the web site mobile friendly, i.e., if the horizontal dimension is narrowed, it converts to a stacked web site without a horizontal scroll bar

- There are layouts in gallery that aparently does not work. When I try to put 2 collums, 3 collums, thumnail or mosaic layout, pictures appears big, and one next down to another vertically.

- Can I installed WPBakery Visual Composer plugin or can be conflicted with the theme. Or can you recomend me a builder plugin who works fine with this theme?

- If I put a video background in home, How can I control it? volume, pause, no looping, etc.?

The responsive version of the template seems to not be as responsive as I expected … or maybe I’m doing something wrong here.

When I want to show a gallery, my logo is all over the place on my iphone. Can’t even see 25 % of the photo… And the Menu (dropdown grey menu) is in the middle of the place too.

And I did not change anything…

I tried to find out with firebug what’s wrong, but as kind of a beginner I could not locate the problem.

Maybe it’s a conflict with an other plugin or widget since I did not do any change in this gallery that could have caused the problem?

Can I lose the dots on the video on the landing page? Portfolios – I want a portfolio (ideally grid-style) displaying only videos. For this reason they must be 16:9 thumbnails. Is this possible? (In the demo they appear to be 4:3). Also – do they have little play icons on them when loaded with videos?

in the demo landing page of the theme, when choosing the option “FULLSCREEN” on the lower right corner changing blue text boxes appear with “unlimited skins”, ” fliexible layout” etc. etc.

Can such boxes also be made available when choosing the option “KENB SLIDESHOW”?

Is there a looping function for video background or do I need to code it? Im using an .mp4 video in the homepage background.

If I had known that with wordpress a simple thing like COLUMNS in a page is not possible on thy fly (while every cheap WYSIWYG proggie can do it) I would have chosen Joomla

Frustrated.

Based on the demo I assumed that this is possible, but now I learned what “shortcodes” are… So far, so fine, well I will use shortcodes IF I WOULD KNOW AT LEAST WHICH ONES ARE AVAILALBE.

But nothing is mentioned in the manual and once again I had to go through all the posts here, I just don’t believe that!

The slider in my FullHeight Gallery disturbs the appereance. Please let me know

a) if and how the slider can be placed to another position of the screen / if on the side shift it 90°

b) how to make the control slider transparent or change the color. I already tried:

       opacity: 0.5;    (or whatever looks good)
}

which is nice, but it looks strange since also the pictures in the slider are getting transparent. Is there a way to only make the background of the controls (the white block) transparent?
