Hi Guys,

Im trying to insert youtube videos in the portfolio and almost everything is working like it should.

The big problem is that the youtube videos wont play on iphones and ipads.

I have used the the same method u used on the “random people quotes” but with no succes.

Hello,

I bought the license of this template and import the Kalium Architecture model does not change the logo on the homepage. I try to include all forms and the logo will not change. There is always the demo image. If you can not change, it’s not interesting for me to have this template. The address for view is http://www.onnehome.com.br

What I’ve done to include the logo?

01 – In THEME OPTIONS> BRANDING> CUSTOM LOGO> UPLOAD MY LOGO, but is not working. It includes the image, but when we at home it changes to the logo of the demo.

02 – At the Page HOME PAGE OPTIONS in> LOGO & MENU> UPLOAD IMAGE also includes, but does not work as we enter the main home.

03 – Replace the image repository “wp-content / uploads / 2015/04 / logo-arch.png” for my logo with the same name, and nothing well. Whenever changes to the logo ARCH

Already on the other pages the logo is usually fixed, only the HOME is that the logo is an animation and return for ARCH and is not mine.

On this video you can learn how to remove that logo from the Revolution Slider, this video is made on the old version of RS, but if you have problems finding this place just write us again :)

Can you please be more specific, I couldn’t understand you right, if you want to display a post in the shop page then you can’t do that, you can mix up the elements in a page and mix them together but not on a shop page.

A few weeks ago I bought your theme Kalium. After numerous attempts to install the theme, I failed. I already left a comment but the answer could not help me. I know how to install a theme and done it several times before. Always with succes.

Error that I get is that wordpress asks me: are you sure you want to upload? Try again.

Offcourse I would like to use the theme that I purchased. Can you please help me?

Hi Patricia,

Most likely your web server is configured with PHP settings that are too low to allow the theme ZIP file to upload. Specifically, PHP is configured to a maximum file upload size limit at 8 megabytes or less. The theme ZIP is about 9.5 megabytes in size. Thus, the web server is rejecting the upload. WordPress is giving you a rather ambiguous message in response. This is not a theme fault or bug.

There two ways to solve this problem.

1— You can either get your web host to increase your PHP limits.

2—You can upload your theme via an FTP client.

Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

max_execution_time 180
memory_limit 128M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

Is there a way to have a fixed footer, but so that it isn’t covered by the body? Like classic footer but when there isn’t so much content, I’d like the footer to be fixed at the bottom

No no no… This made footer float above body. I want them them be on the same Z depth. Just like Theme Options – Footer – Normal Footer. But fixed to bottom edge of window. Same Z as the wrapper; not behind, or infront

This is the problem: http://s24.postimg.org/5getxhboj/Untitled_2.jpg Footer is not at the bottom of the page. My content is not taller than my screen, so the footer is half way there. I want it to be at the bottom. And if the content is taller, it works fine with “Normal footer”.

hello,

after the theme-update I’ve had some trouble to “log-in”. the ”/wp-admin/”-screen was blank and not reachable.

I renamed the theme-folder via ftp, so wordpress installs the default-theme; after that the admin-site and the dashboard works fine again.

after renaming the theme-folder to the original-name, I switched the theme to “kalium” again and there are no log-in-problems anymore … but now comes a blank screen when I want to see the media-library or save a portfolio-, page-, or blog-post … (when I switch to a another theme everything works fine)—whar can I do?

if it’s necessary that you must check these problems at the wordpress-backend please let me know …

thats really strange. there is no “advanced-cache.php”file in my wp-content-folder. what else can I do via ftp? (I can´t “log-in” anymore - still a blank screen.)

I´m very sorry to have bothered you. there was a typing-error in the wp-config.php. it was very confusing with this white screen of death! but I´m very happy that everything works normal again!!!

I am not sure what makes these undefined errors appear! There must be some kind of plugin installed on your wordpress, because I have tried the same and these errors doesn’t appear. However this is not a big deal for your site, it still works. I don’t know how to handle this, so try disabling some plugins to see which one is causing this issue.

Hello Kalium,

Thanks for a great theme. I am having a few issues I wonder if you could help with:

1. The content is duplicating on the pages. I found the new files you previously sent another user but this doesn’t seem to help.

I noticed it seems to occur when I tick the box to show the page title within each page settings.

I cannot see a general way to show all page headings, this would be an easy fix.

2. I have the hover effect set to inherit from the theme settings. In theme settings the hover is to cover the full image yet most of the portfolio items the hover is the distanced hover.

I previously had it set to distanced so I think it may be that somewhere it has just gotten stuck on this.

3. Lastly, I would like the portfolio images to appear the uniform thumbnail size but any portrait images are not cropped and are shown as portrait.

Hi there,

1. The reason why the content is duplicating is because you’ve set the description after the title to be gathered from the main site description and that is why all the content is being duplicated, to remove this set the description to custom and write your own.

2. You have two places where you set the hover settings, in the Portfolio Options in the Theme Options or when you add a portfolio element in the Visual Composer, make sure you have checked both of them to see where the source of problem is.

3. I couldn’t understand this question, if you could make it a bit clearer by posting a screenshot or a direct URL to the problem.

I have fixed point 1 as you described, still having problems with point 2 and 3.

Here are some screenshots:

Point 2 – I have checked the Portfolio Options but cannot see it in the Visual Composer. I can see if I change the Page Template to Portfolio rather than Default Page Template, it fixes the hover except this issue – https://www.dropbox.com/s/pj3cuhr1tle385j/point2-1.png?dl=0 However, then some of the images appear above the categories when I click the ‘show more button at the end of the page -https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ectlj2s6623nme/point2-3.png?dl=0

Point 3 – You can see if both images above where the vertical images appear vertical rather than being cropped like the horizontal images.

First of all; thanks for this great theme! I’ve already had some great support by mail by Art. Thanks again.

I just can’t seem to figure out why my contact form isn’t working correctly. I do receive the emails, i’ve also tested the mail settings with the WP Mail STMP plugin. Seems to work fine.

When using the contact form, I do receive the email (in my junk folder), but I don’t see any confirmation that the message was send ok. The sender therefor doesn’t know it worked ok.

Could you help me out?

Also regarding your Junk issue, the problem must be with your mail provider, better test it with other e-mails like @gmail or @yahoo to see where the problem is because it doesn’t have to do anything with the theme.

Hi, I have some really basic questions… 1. How can I rearrange the order in my portfolio (I took the agency style)? 2. My layer slider doesn’t work – although I guess i have purchased the version where the code is included (wher can I find it, do i really need it?) – 3. and what – in general is the best format/ size to add images (i recognize that for example tiff doesnt show up but jpg does) thank you for your help

1. To re-order items in portfolio just install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/

2. Layer Slider is bundled with the theme, you don’t need to purchase it. To install layer slider simply go to Appearance > Install Plugins and click Install Layer Slider and then Activate it.

3. We have predefined the recommended image sizes for Kalium theme, however if you want to change for example portfolio thumbnails size you can do it in Theme Options > Portfolio Settings:

Hi there! I just bought your Kalium theme, and I think it looks great so far! But I have one question, about the font choice for the menu. I have chosen a serif font for the Heading font, and a sans serif for the Primary font. I would like the sans serif font (ie., the Primary font) to be used for the menu—but your theme defaults to the Heading font for the menu. Is there an easy way to choose the Primary font for the menu instead? In case it matters, I have chosen your “Standard” menu option. Many thanks!

Hi Everyone!

I just thought I should follow up, in case anyone wants to know the final answer to my question.

The code given above will work to specify a different font for use in the menu, instead of the default of the Headline font—but it is important to spell the name of the font correctly! (Duh.) I wanted to use Fira Sans, but I was spelling it with hyphens, like “fira-sans”. It turns out that “Fira Sans”, with the space and uppercase letters, is the spelling that works.

Hello, want to report compatibility issue – once Jetpack (Version 3.7.2) is activated – featured image on Posts Page are not displayed. No error in console is given. Deactivating Jetpack return featured image display to normal. As Jetpack is one of the most popular plugins I believe you want to know about the problem.

Many thanks for your suggestions, we haven’t thought about this one!

After analyzing the part of code where image thumbnails are display I’ve found out that the Photon module of JetPack is causing this for the basic reason: Width and height is not present on array returned by wp_get_attachment_image_src function. So I had to give a custom patch to fix this and worked fine, so here is the same for you, maybe you can understand the code:

Or you can replace the entire file by downloading it here:

And replace it in kalium/inc/ folder.

The only downside of this is that getimagesize function is being called with an URL argument, that is expensive call but it requires the image dimensions in order to display the image properly. If you have better idea how to get image dimensions when Photon module is present it would help so much!

Hi team,

Like on your main menu theme I use the mouse scrolled animation on my portfolio (albancarmet.com). It’s working perfectly on desktop et tablet view but on the mobile one, the icon looks big compared to the other graphic elements. The icon is also not centered anymore. Is there a way fix this size and alignment problem on the mobile view? Thank you for your help.

Hi. I get notifications when there are updates to the base theme that suggests I download the full package again, which to install i have to manually update via FTP to my server.

This will override any custom modifications to the theme base files, will it not? This will override things I edited myself, and also information that you guys provided me over various support chats. Do you guys incorporate those changes into all your releases, or are they one-offs that will be overwritten with an update?

Is there a way to install theme updates in a way that preserves those changes?

The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure :)

Then don’t forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

If you haven’t touched theme core files such as PHP or JS files you will not loose anything.

Changes made on Theme Options will not loose.

If you want to made changes on the Core theme files, then you should use child theme to overwrite the original files of the Main theme :)

I did the previous update (not the one released today) and it broke my site. It says :

“Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@maowillshootyou.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

So I first contacted dreamhost where I am at and as usual I don’t understand their instructions because I’m not an IT :

“These errors indicate the file named .htaccess in the /maowillshootyou.com directory is causing the internal server error to occur. I would review the code of the .htaccess file to determine if any adjustments can be performed to the code to resolve the internal server error from occurring. You can further test by renaming the .htaccess file to a different name to temporarily disable the .htaccess file and you will see the website load.”

can you help me understand what I must do ?

Depending on the error you get, its more related to Apache (server) and PHP so the .htaccess file is created and maintained by the WordPress, so you may try to delete it first, try to update the theme and see if it works.

Don’t worry about that .htaccess file, wordpress will re-create it by just going to Settings > Permalinks and click save changes.
