I purchased Avada last month and I am currently working with the theme for my upcoming website. In my new site, I want to add a premium content section where only premium member having access to the content. I am wondering how to do so. So basically, I need them to sign up, make payment, and then the account is activated. Would you please give me suggestions how to do it? I hope there is a way that I can do it alone (I do hope!).

Hi, I’m working on a site with Avada theme and using a child theme, but I can’t seem to change the css file because of the caching. I can see the changes in the style.css file but no change in the /wp-content/themes/Avada-Child-Theme/style.css?ver=1.0.0

1. I want to build website that its have Streaming Video Player, is there part of this theme can make it? or do you suggest what plugin that I can use for it?
2. When I review Avada Church, I just like to use this kind of theme, but I want to change into full-width theme, can we do that?
3. Is the event calendar plugin included in this theme?

1. You’ll need to use a plugin for video streaming.
2. Yes, you can change the site width from boxed mode to wide mode from theme options.
3. Events Calendar plugin is available for free on wordpress.org, however, there is a pro version to unlock features such as map/day and photo view.

To answer your question and as was stated previously, the Events Calendar Plugin is a suggested plugin which means you need to download and activate it via the WordPress Dashboard >> Avada >> Plugins tab
For additional features like map and day view, you will need the Pro version of this plugin

If you’re on the latest version of Avada which is Avada 3.8.7, simply use fusion page builder on a page and look for “Events” element. To use it, you need events calendar plugin installed.

I’ve loving the theme! I’m using the Fusion Slider for a full-browser video on the homepage. Two questions:
1. How do I specify a custom color for the buttons on the overlay?
2. Is it possible to put a drop shadow on the overlay text (instead of semi-transparent background)?

1. If you take a look at the slide settings, you will see the button shortcode: http://d.pr/i/1dDeF. You can use the gradient_colors parameter to specify a solid button color or a gradient, if you separate 2 colors with |. Same is true for hover colors with the gradient_hover_colors param. Also please set the “color” param from default to custom.
2. Basically yes, but you would have to do a CSS customization to get this.

After searching through the comments, it appears that Theme Fusion will integrate the Fusion Builder with custom post types in the next version? Is this correct? Our next project will require custom post types (Press Releases, RFPs, courses), and I’m trying to figure out if I should stick with Avada on this or look into something like X which claims to support custom post types. Is there an estimate when the next version of Avada will come out with the ability to use Builder in custom post types? Thanks

Our next version will be out in a few days and is a smaller update with bugfixes and responsiveness features, so it won’t include a builder update

This theme is very complex and not at all easy to navigate. After building 7 sites in the past, this is the most difficult experience I’ve had with a theme that provides demo content because you can’t customize a theme you don’t understand. And this theme has so much intricacy that it is very overwhelming. I’ve gone through the documents and watched the videos and ultimately I still really regret purchasing it.
As one reason, I installed the App demo. The only file I found where I could edit the text was the Home fusion slider that allowed me to edit the header section. All the other sections (Intro, features, screenshots, etc), I cannot find that content to edit the text and images. I don’t know where they are and whether they are posts or sliders, etc. Even if they were one or the other, there were no files in those sections I could find and change text and images..

Yes Avada has the power to do a lot of things, so it offers many options. The majority of our users love the freedom of those options, so we are sorry that your experience with them was overwhelming.
Regarding the App demo. It is a one page parallax demo, so it consists of only one page and that one is called “Home”: http://d.pr/i/1byPO You can find it in the WordPress admin dashoard in the Pages tab. When you edit it you can find all the text and the images. You can edit them with the WordPress editor or with our page builder.

In regards to the question about WooSidebars – while you can create as many custom sidebars as you want for posts or pages in Avada, you can’t create custom sidebars for categories. This is where it would be nice to have support for WooSidebars – or at least a feature in Avada where you could designate custom sidebars for each category.

First of all this is an amazing theme. I’ve just begun using it, though, and I ran into a slight problem. On two of my pages, I’m no longer able to see the content in the fusionbuilder. Everything shows up correctly in the default editor, but it is gone when I switch to fusion. PHP limits are all set properly and the full fusionbuilder seems to load. Do you have any idea what may be happening? Thank you!

If you edit the page, you will see those specific sections, they are “full width containers”. Click the edit icon and look on the “background” tab, you can change out the background image there.

Hmm that is a custom type of table, with hover effects. We do have tables but they are not like that specifically so some custom work would be needed. You can search for a table plugin that may produce a similar look, there may be one out there but I’ve not seen one that I can recall.

I dont think I need hover effects, just an table to handle lots of data (more like listing), if possible could handle csv data too.. can I see your table sample?

Does clicking “options reset” affect only the section of the Theme Options you are in or all of the options?
Example: If I’m in Styling and make changes and I want to restore the defaults, if I click “options reset,” will only the changes I’ve made to Styling reset, or will all of the changes I’ve made to all the sections be reset?

Is it possible to hide the sidebar on my homepage which displays a list of blog posts and not a static page. I’ve gone into the actual page which has a blog element but don’t think this does anything as it looks like the settings in the theme settings overide this so not sure how i remove the sidebar on this page but leave it for the individual blog posts and category pages.
Also i’ve set my blog to use 2 columns but it shows one column with all the posts underneath with the other half of the page blank. It seems to work with 3 columns so not sure why when i select 2 columns it’s not working correctly.

Enabling/disabling sidebars are done globally via the Theme Options Panel, but then can be overridden on a page by page basis by using the in-page Fusion Option -> Sidebars
Now saying that, all you need to do is edit your homepage and set the page template to >> ‘100% width’
Having checked your homepage we see that the Blog is displaying in 3 columns so will assume you have resolved that -> http://d.pr/i/has4

there must of been an issue with the computer i was using earlier as 2 column wasn’t displaying properly but it’s fine on my mac now when i’ve changed it back. I’ve still got the issue of having the sidebar present on my homepage though. i’ve removed the blog element on the page so it defaults to the theme options with the page having no global sidebar. I’ve also selected 100% width for the template settings on the page and deselected sidebars on the settings at the bottom in the page but it still shows up on my homepage.
