Dear Author,
I’ve purchased, downloaded and installed “Kalium” a couple of days ago via word press. Unfortunately i cant get it to work properly since i’m not able to activate the plugin “visual composer”.
Finally i decided to now i can’t even upload the Kalium theme any more into wordpress. Again without success – same problem.
However, would be great if you could help me out – no idea what to do next ?

The most common issue for not uploading the theme is memory_limit directive in php, we have an article that describes what configuration parameters you need to have in order to fully set up the theme:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_New_ThemesSo all you have to do is extract the kalium.zip, then upload kalium/ folder in wp-content/themes/ folder, after that go to Appearance > Themes and activate the theme.
This should work for you.

Hi Arlind, thanks a lot for your suggestions. I contacted the blue host support and we have updated all the required php.ini setting as per the link (incl. the memory_limit). I uploaded the “Kalium” theme once more. However, still having the same issue i.e. I’m not able to activate the “Visual Composer”. Furthermore i’ve uploaded and extracted the kalium.zip file via the FTP protocal as per the second suggestion. Again without success. So i’m basically stuck again. Needless to say that i’m not happy about my progress..spend hours trying to get this to work and still at square one. Really tempted to forget about this theme altogether. However, like to give it a last try and would be great if you could help me out since i really need expert support !!

Do you use JetPack? If so please try to replace this file:

Choose your preferred colors and click Save All Changes.

hi, it seems great theme, I would like to purchase. But all demo didn’t work on my iPhone.. iPhone 4S / iOS 7.1.2 I would like to purchase this theme, but have to have confidence that it would work on any smart devices. Is there any help or suggestion??

On mobile devices there is an iframe issue that affets all sites, not just ours, so if you click the “X” button and view the template in its real state you will not have such problems. At least 3000+ customers have not reported anything that causes issues in smart devices.

i’m having a problem with logo changing. I’ve set up a custom logo, but a few seconds after the page is loaded it’s changing back to Kalium logo. Please, advise how to fix this.

Hi there,
Most likely your web server is configured with PHP settings that are too low to allow the theme ZIP file to upload. Specifically, PHP is configured to a maximum file upload size limit at 8 megabytes or less. The theme ZIP is about 9.5 megabytes in size. Thus, the web server is rejecting the upload. WordPress is giving you a rather ambiguous message in response. This is not a theme fault or bug.
There two ways to solve this problem.
1— You can either get your web host to increase your PHP limits.
2—You can upload your theme via an FTP client.
Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:
max_execution_time 180
memory_limit 128M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

This is so strange issue, when you increase memory limits and PHP version it will solve your problem. This has happen to some users who don’t meet minimum required PHP limits or PHP version and they solved the problem by updating them.
Have you tried to contact your hosting provider please?
Have you tried uploading your theme manually through FTP client? It should work perfect.

I’m sorry but that icon is very hard to change, you must edit core theme files, and that is one thing that we don’t recommend.

The problem is that the Revolution Slider has a problem playing videos on mobile devices, you can see that in our demo it doesn’t work either.

I would like that my “Portfolio page” become my Homepage. Even if I specify my homepage as the “portfolio” in Theme options > Portfolio, it keep the portfolio page in www.mywebsite/portfolio.
Do you have an idea where I can change that ?
Ps: I don’t want to add a portfolio column in my homepage because when i click on it it go to www.mywebsite/portfolio..

Thank you for reporting this but it is hard to deal and keep the theme away from the illegal downloads and sharing, these kind of downloads usually are harmful and contain scripts that make your site insecure, they’re also outdated theme versions and cannot get updates.
We will try hard to report all these scripts but there are thousands of them.

To fix that can you please add the code below to Custom CSS

P.S: One suggestion, please upload your logo on a smaller size, currently your logo is 1667×1667 witch is not necessary because it shrinks to 100×100 when you see it on your site, you can upload a smaller one, maximum 300×300 and your site will open faster too

Hmm it should work for sure, just please check if you have forgot any open bracket { or } on your previous CSS codes or maybe you have any caching plugin, and you need to remove the cache from the plugin and from your browser.

I’m having a lot of difficulty mimicking the theme’s original layout. I want to put my own photos in the place of, but i also want to type something in that space where the theme currently shows the qoute about creativity. I want to showcase a few photos from the portfolio right below the large photo you first see when you go on the site, just like in thetheme. Is this the layout slider, the revolution slider or something else entirely?
I want to change the fonts for my primary menu. I want to edit the products on my shop.
When I make adjustments, and upload my images, etc., I go to view the site and it’s a blank page with nothing but ‘HOME’ written, as well as the copyright information at the bottom. This theme is really lacking documentation – I really need help!

You will need to create a slider with Revolution Slider and Layer Slider and set it to Full Screen, create different slides and link them with any portfolio from there.

P.S: You are using an old very version of our theme (1.3) and the latest version for the moment is (1.7.2) please update theme first.
