Hi Team,

I have sent you a mail yesterday. Please respond to it as soon as possible.

Thank You, KishanTFS

Actually 2 mails :)

Answered your emails!

Hi and amazing theme – is there a way to use the native audio player that you use for .mp3 extensions for Sound Cloud urls (instead of having Sound Cloud embedded?) – I would like to host my audio on Sound Cloud for obvious reasons instead of on my own server but love your player – thoughts?

If you have access to your raw *.mp3 file, you can embed it directly. Simply copy the URL and past it into the “Audio URL” text field when creating your post. Otherwise no, not at the moment unfortunately.

How do i make my podcast posts and blog posts responsive in the mobile view? so far the first page is responsive but when I go into the regular posts, they are not scaling down or being responsive. I am on a iPhone (Android seems to work) caseyplusnatasha.com

Hey do you think you could send me a screenshot of what you are seeing on your ond? Please send it to support@themestation.net. Thanks, and sorry about the wait.

On the category archive view, with full-posts showing I’m seeing my [audio short tags] as text rather than having a player render. Any idea on how to fix? http://www.microbe.tv/twiv/

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. This is a bug, fix is on the way. Hope to get it out within the next 24 hours. Sorry about that.

Is there a way to add a “header” picture to categories?

At the moment, no, sorry about that.

What would you recommend as the best way to send my podcast from this site to iTunes and Google Play? Are there settings within the theme to make podcast submissions easy enough, or should I look into adding a plugin to help me take those next steps?

I recommend using a plugin to create your RSS feed. At the moment, Podcaster supports BluBrry PowerPress and Seriously Simple Podcasting plugins. With their help you can create and manage your episodes as well as your RSS feed.

Hi,

How do i make the page headers responsive ?

Currently the images do not scale down when viewed on a mobile browser.

I have also sent a mail but not received any reply.

Answered your email!

Hi, I am having trouble with the “Read More” links to each blog post (podcast episode) on my home page: http://crudeconversations.com/ They all link to the first post when the should link to their respective full post… Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks, Rohan

Hi there, I answered the email you sent me some weeks ago, and asked for a dummy account. Please send the login info to support@themestation.net so I can login to your website and take a closer look at what is going on. Unfortunately I’m unable to say what might be happening, without taking a closer look. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

The theme is broken here. Changing the button color for the front page doesn’t change anything at all. And the header switches to the same color when scrolling fown, it’s ugly and unreadable. Rolling back to previous stable.

Just realized : featured image are not displayed on episodes’ page.

Thanks for this feedback, looking into it!

Thanks for the feedback, looking into this!

Hi, i am working on my blog offline.

I set my logo sizes as per the documentation, but the logo is pixelated. Is there any way I can upload a bigger file and have it less pixelated ?

i want to upload a file which is 2000px X 846px it comes up to 91kb.

I think the file size is fine.

The logo is displayed using css background-image.So if you decide to use a larger image, you’ll have to make some customizations. Make sure you set background-size to a value that displays the image properly. Btw, do you think you could send me a screenshot so I can take a look at how your logo is being displayed? That would be great, thanks!

how do i send you a screenshot ?

You can send it to the support email: support@themestation.net.

Hello, How can I add the ” Subscribe with iTunes” and “Subscribe with Stitcher” on every Podcast post the way it looks on the front page without manually inserting the code every time? thank you http://caseyplusnatasha.com/

There is no way of doing this unfortunately. The subscribe button was meant to be displayed on the front page and podcast single pages only and there are currently no plans to change this. You could use the button shortcode that comes with Theme Station Shortcodes to create your buttons and insert them into the pages you want as an alternative. Hope this helps!

Hello, How can I add another Blog to my website? I want to add a Conscious Kitchen page where i would post recipes as blog posts. When I post all the posts go to the main “blog” page. Is there a way to separate the two? thank you, http://caseyplusnatasha.com/

Hi there!

I’d say the easiest way of going about this, is simply filing your recipes posts into one category and then linking to this category so that visitors can find them in one place without having to scroll through the entire blog. This means the posts would still be in your regular blog however.

Another option is to user a custom post plugin, “Custom Post Type UI” for example, to create your own post type. You could name it as you wished, “recipes” for example and post your recipes related posts in there. This would seperate your blog from the recipes post completely. At this point however, Podcaster doesn’t have a template to properly display such posts, so it wouldn’t be fully supported. This does sound like something that could be added in an update from my end, unfortunately I can’t say how soon that will be. Sorry about that.

thank you :)

It is great to see the excerpt back on the top featured post of the main page. However, the new update stripped out some of the formatting on the individual pages. On my episode pages, I have an introduction paragraph and then a second paragraph with a “File Under” section that lists key words the episode covers. In the post page through Wordpress, the paragraphs show as individual paragraphs. On the actual site page, it is now ramming the two paragraphs together. This is new since the latest update. You can see an example here: http://www.thepastcast.com/2015/10/dramas-movies/

Hi there, for some reason your paragraphs seem to be wrapped into “span” tags, do you know why this could be? There is nothing in the theme that should do this, do you have a plugin active perhaps that could have changed the formatting?

Those span tags may have come from copy and pasting from Google Docs. They have been there for awhile and never affected the look. In fact, if I remove them, the published page is still squashing everything together. In the Wordpress Post editor, there are two tabs when entering the text. The first is Visual and the second is Text. The Visual tab is supposed to show the post the way that it will appear on the screen when it is published. On this tab, it plainly shows the correct formatting in two separate paragraphs. However, when published it is completing ignoring this. This was working fine before the update with the span tags in place and all.

Thanks. That latest update just released fixes the issue.

Hi! I was wondering if there’s any way in the options to add a search bar to the header. This is something I get asked a lot by my listeners. Is there and option in place or any alternative to do that?

Hi there, unfortunately there is no way of adding a search bar without touching the code at the moment. Sorry about that. I’ll look into it as a future addition to the theme however.

HI – questions from a non-devloper… *I’m struggling to find ‘theme options’ – can I get an idiot proof pointer? *What is a ‘child theme’ and do I need to concern myself with this?
  • How do I make the top bar transparent, as on the main live demo?
  • How do I turn off slider on my home page and still have recent posts below, again as on the main live demo example? Many thanks!

Hi there!

After installing the theme, make sure you install and activate the recommended plugins. This includes the Redux Framework that handles the theme options. There should be an info box at the top of your dashboard taking you to the install and activation page. After that, head to the theme options (found in the menu on the left side) and click on “Presets”. The first preset will get you the demo look, so click on it to activate it. You can find more about how to get started with Podcaster in the demo under “Getting Started”. Don’t forget to create and set your static front page and blog page, you’ll find an instructional video in the documentation.

If you are not planning to make customization that go beyond the theme options and aren’t planning to touch the code, you can ignore the child theme.

I hope this answers your question :)

Perfect – I had installed but not activated Redux and your instructions worked perfectly. Many thanks.

Hi Looks like a great theme, just wondering which audio player you are using? And will it be compatible with divi builder and beaver builder plugin? Thanks

Podcaster uses the native WordPress audio and video players. At this point, it has not been tested with divi builder or beaver builder plugin, so no unfortunately. I hope this answers your question.

Hey there, question regarding excerpts:

I had a short excerpt summarizing each episode before on my theme, then somehow managed to turn it off, so now it just has the title of the episode on the homepage.

Where do I control that? Is it in the individual post? I’d love to have it turned back on.

Hi there, I’m looking at your website and I can see the excerpts. Have you found the setting and changed it? Or are you talking about the featured post? That functionality has been added back in the most recent version of the theme.

Talking about the featured post – do you know how to get text below the episode title on the homepage there?

We recently released a new upadate that displays the excerpt under the featured post again. Please update to version 1.5.3. That should do the job.

Hello,

Having trouble displaying my blog (podcast) as a grid format versus a list. I havent seen an option available in the theme option and was wondering if I am missing something. I would like it to look like the White Podcaster Demo Page titled “Library”.

Thank you,

Hi there, could you send me a URL so I can take a closer look? Thanks!

http://hipaapodcast.com/

Please keep in mind that we are still developing the site. My images are 2000×500 and set to “tiled”. It still seems to have an overlap at the bottom of my screen (19”) and when i put it to a 15” it looks ok. Then when i go to mobile, it only shows the top left corner of the picture.

I set it to tiled becuase stretched would duplicate a second picture when it didnt fit all the way.

Please make sure you’re using the “Podcast Archive” template to get the grid vs. list options. After selecting the template and saving, head to your theme options (Theme Options > Podcast) and choose whether you’d like to use the grid or list view.

Hello I have installed the theme I have some issues with the Batch font set that is corrupted and unfortunately I cannot find any ‘non corrupted’ package set. Can you please provide me working files ? Regards

Hi there, sorry to hear about that. What kind of error are you getting exactly? Do you have a screenshot or URL where I could take a closer look?

No error but some icons not visible on the page curpeo.com

Hi there, there seems to be an .htaccess error on your site “Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing”. I’d say get in touch with your hosting and ask them about the error in regards to your .htaccess file and how you can change it to make it support the custom font files.

Hi, Im almost ready to release my podcast on the word. It looks awesome. I have a couple of questions though.

1. When viewing in Iphone 5 or ipad air portrait the menue structure is unreadable as the options are dark grey on black – see here for example. http://responsivetest.net/#u=http://www.time4t.audio/|2048|1536|2

2. Is your theme compatible with jetpack – i have sharing turned on and on the Archive template I have it to not show sharing but it still does (sort of). http://www.time4t.audio/index.php/archive/

Hope you can help.

Have a great weekend.

Claire

Hi Claire, Happy to hear you’re enjoying the theme, I’ll get right to the questions.

1) the iPhone menu issue is being resolved as of now. An update is on the way with the fix.

2) Podcaster doesn’t fully support Jetpack as of now, I’m sorry to say. Might be included in a future update.

I ope this answers your questions.
