Guys we really need some more flexibility to this theme…. I’m trying to build different portfolio pages … and it’s not even possible to control what projects appears… A part from excluding the “featured” ones… C’mon… Pile is a great theme… But it quickly becomes frustrating considering the so little amount of customization… Can you do something…. ?

Yes, it is possible to insert a video in the header via YouTube or Vimeo.
You can insert the video link while editing the project, on the Featured Image section. Click on it, and you’ll get this ? http://prntscr.com/93blcj. Hope that helps!

I’m simply losting my mind !!!!
I’m very disappointed : I had a bug with charmelon js … it didn’t work anymore… I did a reboot of everything (data base and clear all wordpress, content and themes on ftp) ... I reinstalled it….
And it don’t work neither on any page … except homepage (when it works…1 time on 3)
Will you fix it soon or it’s a death option I don’t have to use ? ....
Because it’s one of the first reason i choose this template… and it doesn’t work at all !

Someone allready open a ticket on this problem… and it’s a big problem…
I’ve talked to my colleagues and this issue is caused by the use of Responsive Images from Theme Options ? Utilities ? Others.
As a temporary fix, turning this off until the next update may solve this issue. Sorry for any inconveniences caused and I hope you understand the situation!

You either have this custom CSS snippet inserted in Appearance ? Customize ? CSS Editor or in Theme Options ? Custom Code ? Custom CSS and you can safely delete it, or you can replace it with this one, as a last resort solution:
.pile--portfolio-single {
margin-left: 0px !important;
}
.pile--portfolio-single .pile-item {
padding-left: 0px !important;
}

I think i found an another bug on Firefox :
The page is not totaly loaded when the user clic on a projet… the color script is runing… color fullpage… and nothing… i have to relaod the page to see something…
(can you remove the exemple after answer, my url website appears on google here…)

The problem is less present is the new Firefox version (only on windows, on firefox osx the problem is not present).

Hi, your theme looks very nice. Just three little questions : - On the home page, can i change the size of the thumbnails and if i want to remove the slider it’s possible ? - There is a small animation to scroll down on the home page slider, it’s possible to put this animation on the other pages ? - No product (woocommerce) has more than one picture, it’s possible ?

Thank you for the kind words!
Yes – the size of the thumbnails are based on the width set on the container of the page, so the bigger the container the bigger the thumbnails.
Also, the slider can be remove via some easy custom CSS code which I’ll assist you with.
The down-arrow is only available for the project archive page.
Yes, the products can have a lot more pictures, but only one main(bigger) one.

Hello, I just bought this theme, great theme , the tutorial is perfect, thank you . But I have a big problem with the images : when I load an image I have an error ” HTTP Error affich_34758_1.jpg ” . if I PixTypes disables the plugin, I have no error . What to do ? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for this amazing theme. Just bouht it and I am very happy so far. I’m trying to set it up and am finding my way through. A few had me having a headache though:
The slug category to the portefolio is by default “pile_portefolio”. I want to change it to “portefolio” and nothing I have tryed (withouth reaching the css has worked). How do you change that. In a previous comment you mentioned that we cannot remove it but I would only like to change it.
Then in the Project, I would like to be able to see photos in large format (as they are in an article). If possible with a slider. Is there a way to do that ? As of now, I only get small previews.

Thank you for the kind words!
The category slug can be easily changed from Settings-> PixTypes .
The size of the images can be easily increased once you’ve inserted an Image content type in the project, just by dragging the right side of the box to the right – it should expand right away.
Also, you can set up a slider by using the slider option from the PixCodes plugin. After you are inserting an Editor content type you can select the fancy ‘P’ button and from there choose the slider shortcode.

As you know we can only have the sticky navigation menu as a hamburger and/or as display all the menu items, but unfortunately we can’t combine the two features so easily so I believe some extra work is needed in order to get this done.

We have not tested this kind of plugin on Pile theme but we tried to avoid them. Every visual composer plugin is “playing” with a lot of elements from the theme and WordPress too and, sometimes, this can do more bad than good. We tried to keep the theme simple but with all the options that a portfolio theme needs so, I think that this kind of plugin won’t be needed

Yes, the images used in the demo data are placeholder images because the ones used on the official demo have copyright agreements and cannot be distributed.

Hi, I have two questions:
First of all, I installed the demo data, but it doesn’t load the visuals and navigation menu.
Secondly, on my homepage I would like to show ‘categories’ in the same way as a project. So I first want to show the users an overview of categories (in the style that a project is made up) and when they select a category they need to be directed to a page with all projects within this category (similar like how the standard homepage is setup now). I hope you could give me some directions on how to realize this.

We are pretty busy at the moment, but there are some great place where you can get all the proper assistance like Werkpress or Codeable .
Regarding the demo data, the pictures are just placeholders (dummy pictures) to simulate the demo website and you can set the navigation menu from Appearance-> Menus .

I tried to change the menu multiple times, however it doesn’t show it at all. I also checked if the menu text was in the same color as the background, but I can’t find the setting for changing the menu font colors.
Usually the demo data is also included in a package, so I was a little bit surprised that it didn’t show anything. Especially when I look at the youtube tutorial. It shows all content once you installed it.

I’m sorry about the demo data thing, but the images are copyright protected so we cannot distribute them. We are only using placeholder images to simulate the setup of the demo.
