What’s the class I should edit to change the meta info text on portfolio? Currently I’m using the “Meta from bottom on hover + entire thumb link” and I’ve added (on the title box) a long description that I want to show when the user hover over the image…
I saw it was an h3 tag but does it has a class or id? I don’t want to change all the h3’s.

Yes you can, the portfolio element allows you to define which categories will display in any given instance so you could have many different unique portfolios if desired

Can you help me with 3 issues?
1. The Font resize for h2 is to small when the bowser window gets smaller. how can i modify it in (for example custom css?) to get a minimum size? I would like to have that also for the “hover text” of the portfolio thumbs.
2. how can i delete the transparency from thumb hover efect (portfolio tumbs) i want the color to be solid when hover
3. how can i generate color thumbs with text (instead of an image) in the portfolio section? i have seen it in your advertisement picture (there is a masonry pattern which is mixed with pictures and text tumbs)

Making the nav transparent in there would require modding to the functions.php file, however to remove the title use this:

does not work. I added code inside the “Custom CSS Code,” but nothing happens.

Added it now. It removes the text, but it’s still a strange space.

That will already be the default case when you use the mobile sticky menu option, however that menu won’t kick in until the device is less than 1000px

Hi! I’ve received an email from Envato that I should update the Visual Composer from WP Bakery in my Salient theme. When I login on the Envato website and go to the provided link, I indeed have the possibility to upgrade to the latest version of Visual Composer (4.8), but I have to pay for it? Shouldn’t this update be included in the regular licence of the Salient theme?

hi – love the theme, and it was working well for me, until tonight. Was on a weak wifi signal on a plane while updating some pages…. it never seemed to load correctly, so I gave up. Now that I am home, all edit functions of pages seem to be broken. The page isn’t loading completely, and the developer console shows hundreds of reference errors all around the VC files.
I deactivated plugins to check their possible confusion, even replaced all theme files with a fresh download.... it looks as though there is some sort of problem between the salient THEME and the salient VISUAL COMPOSER. If I switch themes back to Twenty Twelve, the edit functions all come back. Trying to get this all up and running for a client - please help PS – just submitted a ticket for it – here it is: 572882

Hello Nectar, Love the updates. I saw a site using your theme and they changed the shape of the particles from circles to birds. How can I go about changing the shapes of the particles? This is the site I’m talking about- http://www.beyondthevalley.com.au

That URL actually is not using Salient and changing the particles like that would require custom development – also placing the particles over a video would as well unfortunately

I’m sorry, it was under Salient Theme Examples on your site so I assumed it was the particles. Still very inspirational. Can you tell me where or how I can edit the particle shapes and where can I go to place a video background?
The code that creates the particles is located in the js folder at nectar-particles.js
Also, allowing a video BG to be used would require modding to the page header function in the functions.php

I discovered something addressed by a thread with PyramidWeb, which indirectly solved a mega menu problem I was facing:
1. Entering in ”#” for the link URL on any custom-link menu items you wish to lead nowhere will also correct the mena menu’s 4th column spacing.
I discovered that when I added a fourth mena menu column that was linked to a page the first three columns of my mega menu had symmetrically dispersed widths; however the fourth (and I presume 5th, 6th, and so forth) was unevenly narrow and appeared to be less important—like an afterthought.
In sum, I guess it’s worth pointing out that mega menu headers should always be custom links with ”#” entered in the link field (?).

Correction* Enter in ”#” for the link URL on TOP Navigation item, which the mega menu is nested under. The column headers don’t seem to be an issue linking to pages.

Update* I manage more than one website using Salient, and as it turns out, I cannot replicate this solution with a mega menu of 5 columns 
I can’t figure out why it worked for one mega menu with 4 columns and why it doesn’t work for the other, with 5.
Any recommendation?

I have problem with icon. If I load my page http://www.salon-lafemme.cz/ icon of facebook in secondary menu is not showing-up. I see only white square I mean FontAwesome didnt load.
But if I choose one of menu item and page will reload – facebook icon SHOWS-UP! If I go back to front page – icon is OK. It looks like icon needs to at least one time reload page to show. Somewhere is problem with loading FontAwesome – but only if I open new window and load my page first time – it looks like cache memory problem ??
I add icon to header and I dont know I did it right.

Hey, this is the error that’s showing up:
Font from origin 'http://martinbenda.savana-hosting.cz' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.salon-lafemme.cz' is therefore not allowed access.

When I set #header-outer to position: absolute; I am getting a blank space above the header on scroll… I contacted support but they never helped me figure it out. Can you please help me figure this out because it is causing major issues on my site! Thank you

Hello, can you please help me figure out why Lightbox is able to open a Vimeo link when applied to an image, but not a button? The loading icon gets hung up in all browsers. Thank you! For some reason the Huge IT Lightbox plugin began functioning properly on all browsers when I deactivated it. Any reason why this is? Was the Lightbox plugin overriding another plugin?
More importantly, my background video gets hung up half the time, which prevents the nectar text from appearing for 5 seconds. I tested my site on over a dozen computers with high speed internet. The mp4 and webm files are each less than 3mb. Is there a CSS code that will let the nectar title and subtitle load before the video plays? Is there a reason why the video is stalling half the time? Hey, the centered menu option is being used for the layout with the ascend skin. If you have the transparent header option on that will happen automatically
