1. I would to make it so the excerpt would only display the first paragraph of a post, rather than a length of the post.
An example would be engadget.com, where each front-page post would only display the 1st paragraph of the post it leads to.

Hi, I really like the theme. The one thing I’d like to do is format the homepage of my site in a modern style, somewhat similar to the homepage you have on your tagdiv.com site. I’d like some of those types of elements, and then links (with images) that link to the various main categories of the site.

We’ve used a customized version of the theme for our presentation site with custom made page templates. We cannot share those customizations, sorry! You can use the available VC/theme layouts and elements to build a similar designs or turn to freelancer to help you customize the theme as you would need it and add other customized page templates.

No, the theme doesn’t have any options that could center block titles you would have to use custom css for it. Provide your site’s url if you need assistance and point us to the titles you need centered and please open a topic in our forum support http://forum.tagdiv.com/ our support team will provide a solution there.

Hi! I really need your help with images in iphone.
The images show as mixed up and incorrect only on iphone. For example, when someone clicks on link to my site from facebook, on an iphone, the images will switch with each other or show a different image from my media files.

Hi, how can i Reset my theme from A to Z and make it like its new?

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an general reset button which will restore all theme’s settings to default, you would have to do that manually.

I’ve also added this on our request list so we will consider adding an option for this in theme’s panel in future theme updates.

I believe you refer to RTL support which unfortunately the theme doesn’t include, please also note that we don’t plan to add RTL support for the theme. We’re sorry for the inconevenioce, if you you like the theme and you want to use it a solution for this may be to hire a professional developer to help you with this task or if you have programming experience you could check the official WordPress documentation on RTL – https://codex.wordpress.org/Right-to-Left_Language_Support

Are you aware that your theme creates duplicate content with duplicate meta descriptions?
For example:
domain.com/article-title
domain.com/article-title/0913-4/
I’m not sure what the extension is for, but I assume it’s for some attachments or whatnot? It cannot be accessed because it redirects to the original article, but Google Search Console picks these up. I have 100+ of these issues on my Search Console as “duplicate meta description.”

Thanks for reporting this however I believe this is a wp issue, you can test this using a default wp theme. These can be picked up by google’s crawlers if they have been accessed and you can search for solutions online concerning this.

Hi, i’m doing a magazine site with this template that my client purchased, i had luck with the square thumbs for the cd records category, but, i need to do couple of changes: 1. change the “[tagDiv] Slide” widget size, need to be sized as the portrait magazine.. 2. inside the magazine link, i would like that the thumbs would be sized rectangular like the magazine appears…i’m using M6 article display view and the thumbs are cropped… Thanks in advanced! WP composer consumes 57% of CPU resource when i use P3 plugin to check, please can the site work and functions well without the WP composer by WP bakery plugin?

Yes, you could use the theme without it but that way you wouldn’t have access and you could not use theme’s blocks.
What version of VC plugin you use as this issues mostly occurred since plugin’s version 4.4 in which was a major update of the plugin however all memory issues with VC plugin were attended in both theme’s and VC plugin updates so they shouldn’t appear anymore.
Please make sure that you follow our recommended configuration under which the theme would work perfectly: http://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ in some cases a poor host can be the cause.
Also if you don’t use default elements from VC, the SHIM plugin provided by us is an option: http://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newsmag-1-7-1-killed-our-server-again/page/3/

Yes, 4.8 is the latest version of the VC plugin however we haven’t tested it yet, we’re waiting to see if its a stable version then we will test it and include it in the theme so it will be available as soon as possible.

You should backup your current VC version just in case something goes wrong then update the plugin like mentioned in the guide, you don’t need to worry your settings will not be affected.
What theme version do you use? The current theme version is 2.2.1 so if you don’t use at least 2.2 version we advise you to also update the theme to its latest version, use the FTP method form this guide: http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ and make sure you also backup it: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

We recommend the FTP method from theme’s update guide: http://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ You won’t lose theme’s settings/configuration so you don’t need to worry so just connect vi FTP and upload theme’s files like instructed in the guide.
Please note that you will lose any customizations made to theme’s files which will be overwritten.
You should also consider into the update process at the following aspects (optional but recommended):
– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups – setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that. – empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme – disable all plugins – update the theme then install the required plugins – switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services
