I am trying to install this theme on my local host so that I can test the changes. However, it says “Are you sure you want to do this?” why is it asking that. Please help.

the name of the downloaded file is: “themeforest-9207399-porto-responsive-wordpress-woocommerce-theme
when double clicking on this I see a folder called Porto 2.5.9
Question 1.: should I copy paste this folder
I did copy paste that file but nothing happened so I went to look deeper and double clicked on Porto 2.5.9
I found four folders: Documentation, Dummy data, Licensing, Theme Files
In theme files I found Porto.zip but also Porto-child zip file.
what will happen if I only use Porto.zip and not Porto-child.zip?
Hi, You should extract porto.zip in Theme Package/Theme Files into wp-content/themes folder. You can also extract porto-child.zip if you want to use porto child theme. You can reference https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes for more details about the child theme.

I found out what the problem was. I was using a store locator plugin that was preventing me from loading the js scripts. I disabled it and the site worked fine. I’ll look for another plugin. Thanks.
Header You have a number of headers. However, the one I want is not there. Where can I make changes to my header the way I want it? Does this mean I have to code or do you have drag and drop possibilities?

How can i add a 2nd sidebar to the left or right side? One that is in a completely separate container? So far, I can only stack inside of 1 container (sidebar-left). I need sidebar-left2, sidebar-left3… Sidebar left + right same time would be nice for theme improvement.

Hi, We used jquery responsive tabs plugin. If you want to show as accordion, you can change the tabs type in Theme Options> Woocommerce > Single Product.

Hi, 1. Woocommerce plugin don’t have a compare function. You should install third party plugin and customize it in porto theme. 2. You should install third party woocommerce plugin. 3. You can use woocommerce default login feature. 4. Woocommerce plugin don’t have this feature. 5. Please check yith woocommerce ajax filter plugin and use it. Please configure the stock management in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory. 7. If you want to use 2 mega menu, you should customize porto theme. If you want to show the sub menus in wide, you should change the menu type to Wide in top level menu item. 9. When edit the page, you can use ultimate addons modal shortcode.

Wordpress theme is not same with magento theme because porto wp theme is a woocommerce plugin and woocommerce plugin don’t have the same function with magento.

You can edit the sidebar menu with theme location – Sidebar Menu like the main menu in Appearance > Menu.

Thanks the translations will be no problem. Only the The sidebar menu is driving me crazy. We have a normal main menu that we like to use for the side bar on the homepage, the same style you use on your demo site. Only below the sidebar we get the same menu in default style everytime again.

Trying to edit the TOP CATEGORIES and TRENDING menus on Home Version 2 (eCommerce 2) demo. We do not have the “Home Banner” block in the Blocks on admin sidebar. It’s only a demo / dummy site, but we would like to modify those links.
We have Home Sidebar Banner, Woo Sidebar Banner, and a few others, but NONE of them have this menu option for us to edit. I went thru them all, at least 4 times. Where else to look to modify this menu?
