Hello Anna, I love this theme, is there any kind of setting where I can choose if the rental is a temporary rental or long term, meaning, to not show the booking per day or week if the rental is for long term ( yearly )? Thank you!

Hi Jenny, At this moment the theme functions only in “per day” booking. In a future update we will add “min no of days” parameter but there is no option to rent per week, month or year yet. Thanks

Hi, You theme looks very good but I have some questions to see whether it can satisfy my requirements.
1. Initially I wanted to keep my system simple so site visitors could just view listings and contact people directly – for this I would need to display phone number and website address. I would also need visitors to be able to submit an enquiry to an owner without registering.
2. I would want to charge owners for listing properties and have different levels of package (eg higher package may be featured).
3. If I decided to maintain all listings myself is this possible?
Also, I emailed you last night about getting access to a demo with demo admin so I can have a better look.

Oh, one other question, would I be able to define the criteria for searches eg could I set up a category Country then sub-category Region, populate with my own values and use these for displaying and in searches or do searches use Countries and areas that are already part of the theme?
Hi, On search When picking a suggestion from Google sugestion link we take - neighborhood (if Google return it as neighborhood . ex Manhattan) -city -country and we do the search based on those parameters. We plan to introduce state in the future update and to do a non google autocomplete suggestion. I hope i answered your question. Thanks

The page layout design is managed from style.css You can overwrite theme default css in child theme style.css
We have 2 page designs for property page and there are specific css elements to each page.
To help you I kindly ask you to send me screenshots with the elements you wish to change and what you need to change for each element so I can look in style.css and give you the classes to overwrite.

Hi there. Pre-purchase question – what’s the level of effort involved for us to customize the code to change categories, etc. into a non-real estate market? Your theme seems to fit most of our needs but our marketplace is for party equipment rentals (bouncy houses, play sets, etc). Thanks!

Thank you for the comment and for buying the theme before I could answer. You can change categories names – from admin – properties – categories and what to rent.
But the theme itself has some features related to booking properties which I don’t know if they work for your line of business as well.
Most important – we have minim 1 day booking required.
2nd – the half map filters have fields that relate to real estate (bedrooms, rooms, guests). Those would have to be modified in code by someone with advanced coding skills.
These are just on top of my head. Please ask me if there’s something else and I will advise.

We’re pretty comfortable getting into code, so it theoretically wouldn’t be a problem if we have to go in to make those changes. For the half map filters, would it be possible to simply swap out bedrooms/rooms/guests for other attributes if we wanted?
The 1 day minimum booking works out for our needs, so no problems with that.

Changing the search (adding other fields and removing existing ones) must be done in the code. My colleagues from technical team can advise in which file the search functions are now if you need that information. Hi, Featured properties are appearing random. When we display a list of properties the order is like this . First we show the featured listings order by adding date. Then we show non featured listings order by adding date.

Hi, is it possible to have advanced search (half map / widget) with city dropdown instead of google search? If not how can we know quickly which properties are available on certain period searching by city taxonomy?
Don´t know if I was clear… What I mainly need is to search properties that are available on certain period from a region (state/district that subdivides in several cities), region also recognized by google search. How does the google search works related to inserted property data?

Thank you for the comment. We don’t have a search without google search, but we are researching on how to make such an option. We’re thinking to be auto-complete, but only for cities/areas saved in admin – cities/areas
We don’t have search by specific date in a specific taxonomy. Search by date is for all properties.

Understood now. The search looks for City (locality region in Google Maps) Area (neighborhood region in Google Maps) and Country (country region in Google Maps).

Hi, your theme looks great first of all! I was looking into buying a vacation rentals theme for a company I am going to start working for on an ongoing basis. I love the feel of the theme, but I have a few questions about what can be achieved. The company has 3 condo complexes each with some 30-60 units. Here are the features i’m looking for:
1. The ability to separate listings by complex. Could this be done by using the “list of places” to categorize the different complexes instead of locations? 2. CSV booking calendar so that I can sync calendars with Airbnb, Flip Key etc. 3. Quickbooks integration 4. I need an owner login, but the rental agency handles all of the bookings, so I don’t necessarily want the owners profiles to be visible, just the companies contact info, is there a way for an owner to monitor their account without having to respond to inquiries etc. Maybe route all inquiries to one owner?
Hopefully the theme has these capabilities. If not I may just buy it for myself to develop as an Airbnb type service, which it is made beautifully for. Thanks!

—> What you can do (not sure if it can work for you) is to enable membership – set 0 listings for new users and they can’t upload properties. And for your user (which you use to add properties) add manually unlimited listings so you can submit as much as you wish.

Hi Anna, thanks for the reply. I went ahead and purchased the theme and started getting it setup last night. I do have a couple questions now that I have opened it all up though.

1) I can’t find anywhere to change the color of the icons in the advanced search bar. They didn’t change with the rest of the site colors, I don’t see them in the media library, and I couldn’t find a CSS reference. Maybe I missed something?
2) can I change the wording in the Advanced Search bar as well?
3) The button color on the advanced search hasn’t changed to the theme colors, do I need to do this in CSS? Can you send me the reference name if so?
4) The site logo looks fine until you scroll down and activate the sticky header, then the logo is shrunk and somehow adds padding on the bottom putting it out of line with the main menu. Do you have logo sizes you recommend to work well with the theme?
5) I added the condo complexes in the City/Area slot, and they seem like they would work fine in grouping the condos for each complex. The issue is for some reason the title is overlaid on the image, and the image is not fully clickable like on the demo. There is also no spacing between the images. I added them in the visual composer, so maybe there is another way to do it to get the same format as the demo?
6) lastly I added a profile image and the placeholder was simply replaced by a blank white space instead of my profile image. Is there a specific size I need to use to make this work? Or maybe because it’s an Admin account and not a User?
Alright, I know that was a lot of questions, but any help is appreciated. I’m sure I will have a few more when I get to the Ical sync setup.

So if you used that – the location search will not work. Please open a ticket with wp-admin and the link to the page where you added the shortcodes to see the link issue and help with the space as in demo. We used visual composer columns paddings to align elements.

Your properties must be assigned to owners created in front end to have the contact image and details attached to property.

4) Still having issue with the logo resize on header and sticky header. I’ll submit a ticket with login so someone can take a look at it.
5) For the City location, before purchasing the theme I had spoke with you over email about using the theme for a single rental company as opposed to letting people sign up and add their own rentals. So we have 5 condo complexes, all in the same city. So I have all properties assigned to the same city, and for the Area, I used the names of the condo complexes, so people can then filter their search by complex. It all seems to work fine, the issue is more in the front end display, the boxes for my areas don’t look the same as the theme demo, but more importantly they are only clickable in the text area even though the image changes on hover, if you click in the image area, nothing happens. The layout would be ok if it were clickable, but an easier fix would probably be to make them the same way as the demo.
6) So I made a contributor account as the main account to upload properties, and the one property I have uploaded is assigned to that contributor, but when you go to the rental page, the “Agent” area still says “there is no Agent”. I tried looking through the help files for an explanation on the “Agent area” but I couldn’t find anything. Can you please explain the difference between setting up an Agent account, and an Owner account? My owner account shows up on the “Owners List” page, but not on the listing that was assigned to them. Any help is appreciated.

5. The click issue – please add the ticket to understand the scenario. The email conversation, I don’t remember it, but for sure I couldn’t have recommended using cities or area. You can use categories or what do you want to rent taxonomies. Search for location will not work if area is not a name recognized by google maps as area.

I haven’t used anything else by WPML and I don’t know if these plugins can work. From what I’ve seen (basic tests) most free plugins don’t have options to translate custom fields (like the custom fields labels, features and amenities). You can ask the plugin developers to see which one has this out of the box (without extra coding) and could be tested. If you find a good one, please let me know. I am not a big fan of WPML complicated settings either.

WPML is the plugin we want to make compatible our theme with officially. We already use this plugin compatibility for our other themes. We left the code we used in those themes. We just need to have WPML official test as well which is in progress. But WPML is a lot of work (not sure if you worked with it before) and it’s paid plugin. Has to be purchased separately. If you find a better multi-language plugin please let me know. Thank you in advance for your collaboration and help with this.

Hi, Please add at least 1 action category(no need to assign a proeprty ) – and the warning should not appear . I;m standing by to see if this solve your problem. The devel team will add a check in the core code so no warning will be issued if there is no term in categories.

I was wondering if I could get a response to my support ticket 11287.
My question was: Our rental properties are booked by the week, not by the day. We need to be able to set it so that when the client books for a property, it is booked for a week. It needs to display per week, not per day, in the price icon, and the booking calendar would need to reflect that or make it so they can’t choose an individual day but a week.

—> I understand what you need, but I am afraid that the chances are pretty complex. All booking related features (from booking calendar, to invoices, to custom price per day) are calculated by day.
—> What we plan to add to core is minimum days of booking required. That may help you achieve the minim 7 days feature (after we release ical we will start working on this – but not show how long it will take)
But making the calendar show price per week – and then changing the custom per day calendar and the invoicing – this is something we couldn’t add to core as options. And we wish to keep using booking per day as core feature since it’s the main feature which our clients have bought so far. So for these changes custom development would be needed (and it’s very possible you’d have to give up some features). I can’t know for sure, it’s just a guess at this point.
The changes are very complex. Such a request would need working with a developer to do this code (it’s not just a line to modify). If you need this, and you are ok with doing this as custom development, we can only recommend to see Envato Studio for a quote for this. http://studio.envato.com/
