Hi, after I import demo content, the contact form wont display, I get the error “[contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”]” so I went into CF7, duplicated the current contact form then applied that, and it showed up, but its not styled nicely. Any ideas on this bug?

Hey guys, cool theme. Quick question, are the demo sliders for layer slider supposed to import with the “Import All” function? I’ve run the import twice now and neither times did they import. Thanks in advance!

I’m afraid but the ‘Import All’ function doesn’t import either Layer Slider or Revolution Slider data since they have their own tables in the database. In the main package that you download from themeforest you will find a folder called ‘plugins’, there you can find the data to import on the relative plugin you are interested of.

Ok but those are the slider data for the plugins, not the sliders data from the theme demo correct? Is there anywhere to find the slider data from the them demo? If not, any chance you can export and send me that file so I can import it?

Well I’m asking about the sliders for the theme and I just assumed they were using Layerslider as its included in the package. Are they using revolution slider? and if so, how do I get those slides from the theme?
We have most of the sliders with our own slide system, just 2 pages has Layer Slider and Revolution Slider.

You can also define your custom adaptive breakpoints to sweet all device you need.
No sorry the whole Uncode Theme is designed in the browser.
So for instance I would upload an image size based at 2550×1440 and it would then make multiple sizes for different resolutions?
It wouldn’t make different size right away but it would create adhoc images version depending of the user visiting (within our breakpoints anyway) then saved for a faster performance when needed next time.

Hi MMirski, you simply need to apply the light skin for the menu (now you have dark). The colour of menu on page load is based on the content you have under automatically to guarantee an optimal contrast. here you can see just a few examples about all the combination for rollover effects. In our system we have the same effects for all Posts items (blog, portfolio, page, product), media galleries and single medias.

All those examples are created with the same module with different options applied (very powerful module with 100+ options to mix). If you refer to the demo site all posts, portfolios, products, gallery are based on custom variations. Just to give you an idea: Masonry, Fit Row, Cells by Row, Vertical and Packery, filtering, pagination, infinite load more, skins, scrolling, items animation, items spacing, items contents creator, selective items size and ratio, custom responsive breakpoints, Masonry and Metro layout mode, content overlay and content under mode, typographic options, hover animations options, ligthbox presets….
All options can be override for single elements, this mean you can make some elements truly standout of the basic patterns you have defined.

Is this a universal setting for the slider, or is this subtle zoom effect tied to the theme itself? Uncode wins as far as looks go, but he really does like the zoom effect…

The theme you show me use the well famous Revolution Slider that is just part of Uncode theme (http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/features/header-slider-revolution/ here an example). So definitely you can have this effect also with Uncode theme if you use the RS Slider. In Uncode demo we dont show those beautiful Revolution Sliders cause we want people look at the theme (not be impressed by a beautiful header made with a plugin as the most of theme out there). This option (called Kern Burns) will be also part of the native Uncode Slider from next theme update!
Once you install Uncode demo you have slightly different images but basically all layouts are the same, those images serves as placeholder for get started.

PS. The only way it could be improved so far is if you had included the stockphoto’s as demo conten, because the placeholders aren’t ideal (esp for the slider).

I’m also a custom theme builder but, I have a customer that didn’t have the funds to pay me what it costs to build him a custom theme. So, I figured I’d try to find one to purchase here so I could do the website rebuild for him easily without having to charge my normal rate.
Well I bought a different theme on this site, one that was in the top 5, and that thing was so hard to customize, it would have been easier for me to build my customers website from scratch myself! Plus, the coding on it was just flat out terrible and convoluted. So, much so that I couldn’t even find my way around it so,how could someone that doesn’t know PHP, Javascript or WordPress theme building find they’re way around it!
Anyway, I just wanted to say, great job! And thanks for building a theme that’s so flexible and easy to use.
This theme should be in the top 5 not the other one!
Oh, and one more thing. Your customer service, is awesome and fast! That was another issue I had with the other guy.

The text on for example the “product modern” is slightly different then what I have in the demo. In my demo copy, the text is two lines and seems more thick. How do i get the same look as your demo? Different font?!!

Sorry I didn’t quite get you meant there. We are currently working on making this all automatic but in the meantime we are helping our customer with that. It’s quite simple for experienced customers but for those without much experience we are helping set it up. We are not even selling customization service so that’s not our case

The theme looks awesome! well done! I have a pre-sale question: Is there a catalogue mode option in this theme. Thats shuts off the price, cart and payment pages, but keeps the other Woocommerce features like search, product pages, ect?

If you need to remove all the Woocommerce informations you just need to create your shop with our portfolio module, basically in Uncode all portfolios, blogs and shops are based on the same module, so you can deal your products as they not are shop products and you’ll avoid all the shop functionalities. Well yes. But I need the advanced search function of woocommerce. so I can filter results (products) on multiple layers/ make selection in categorie than make selection in taste and than make a selection in shape. Than show the remaining results. Is something like that also possible within Uncode? Perhaps with another plugin I don’t know about and you do?
Hi Foodstijl, the best you can do is to work with WooCommerce itself. In WooCommerce if you dont insert the price you dont have the Add To Cart button. I have tested now for you. So you just need to not insert the price Basically no one can access the payments etc. Let me know if you need more infos!

Very nice Theme. I have a couple pre-purchase questions.
1) Does this play well with the ipad? Very important because my customer has a very large blog and alot of people use it on an ipad.
2) Will I be able to use my own full version of VC? I’d like that because I can stay on top of the updates myself, amongst other reasons.
3) I didn’t see any examples of posts without images. Could you link me to one, please? My customer has over 5k posts, none of which use featured images.
4) As I said, my customer has an established blog. I’m wanting to change and upgrade to a better theme. So, I’m just wondering if I’ll be able to integrate this theme with a WP database that has over 40k comments and 5k posts without having to do a clean install.
5) I saw a comment that said you built this on bootstrap up to 10% and then made changes from there. Could you elaborate on that for me? I’m not really big on bootstrap, not totally opposed to it but, it has a lot of bloat to it. So, I’m interested in the changes and customizations you’ve done with it.

1) We think we have done a great job on devices, have a check if Uncode sweets your needs!
2) No, Uncode runs a very modified version. We are plenty of VC modifications, but we have not broken the core, once an update is ready we need just a drag n’drop. All the best practice are under the hood. Most of the themes out there are basically skinned front-end of the Visual Composer plugin modules. Instead we are using Visual Composer only as backend engine for the page creation and we have build on top of it in a way that make us unique empowering designer to have full flexibility. We have also worked on beautify and organise VC skin, you can see some screenshot in our documentation: http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/documentation/
3) Here you can find an index example: http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/blog/blog-full-width-textual/ and here yu can find a single blog post without header: http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/a-day-alone-at-the-sea/ .You can for sure make your Theme Options working to have any kind of header so for example you can create a nice header with some amazing typography and so on… If you have a layout you would like to replicate just show me I can tell if Uncode can do this. We have tons of options.
4) You can do it but you have to mind some measures. Have you just tried export your client database and run it on a fresh install also with the default WordPress theme or other theme?
5) I cannot give you a feature list or we are going to spend a day work. Consider only is inspired and coded with a Bootstrap approach, so most of developers and web designer are more familiar with this.

So please drop a few lines to your hosting provider and ask for the minimum requires for a WordPress installation as suggested in the main WordPress site: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
I knew my PHP limits were fine but, my .htaccess file didn’t have the “AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php” in it.

I appreciate your quick responses. Where do I set the header default image for single post view at? It’s just showing a background color and I want it to show an image behind the single post title. I was able to set the header image for the blog page, just not finding the single posts default image.

Loving the theme so far. Lots of granular options and control over the site based on the documentation. I have some really important questions before purchasing.
I read briefly through the rev. slider documentation and it looks like you can get granular with customization, but I just wanted to double check with you guys, can I add autoplay background video to my headers? I am doing a site for a client that has interesting video content and I want to create 3-4 second looping videos with a call to action over it opening the video instead of using static thumbnails for the slider/header of the homepage. Is this possible? example – http://www.any.do/
Is there a way to control what the user sees as the fallback header on a mobile device if we did use video?
Can I make my header background images respond with adaptive images? I noticed that header images are getting slightly cropped on your demos, but other images are responding fine. It’s really important that I can control the headers this way so the experience is consistent on mobile.
Also, can I make this layout responsive when using images in full-width columns like this – http://adele.com/home/ (the image of her face under the header with the block of text to the right) most themes this sort of layout never responds well on mobile, her face would be either zoomed in or cropped.

1) You refer to Revolution Slider or Uncode Header? With Uncode native header you can create something like this but you should have only one video with different clip changing, not different videos. You can have different videos but not with a static text on it (once change videos also text change). With the Revolution Slider (that is packed with the theme) I think you can do it for sure, maybe they have also something very similar in their available samples.

3) Maybe I don’t understand what you mean, sorry. You cannot perfectly fit your images with a defined ratio and size, just think that every device and desktop computer have a different monitor shape. If you need to perfectly redefine an header with Uncode you can hide the desktop header on mobile and show another one (created for the mobile version). We have this visibility settings available for desktop, tablet and device. Please check this page on desktop and phone device: undsgn.com/uncode/
4) We have a full-options system for handle responsiveness. I cannot tell about the face in this specific example, but I think I can recreate this page in a breeze with Uncode. So for 1) the video slider. I basically want to take what would normally be a static hero image and make it a looping clip around 3-4s. I also want to have a headline caption over it with a button that opens the video or plays the video. I don’t want it to have multiple videos, just 1 looping “animated hero image”. with the call to action stuff.
2) not sure what you mean by this, i’ts a totally different app from invision.
3) I have seen sites where the images respond to the device. When I go to the adaptive images site the demo they have up works and the images shows from edge to edge on my device, obviously in a scaled version. I guess what I mean is, when setting up a column, and then setting an image as the background image..will adaptive scale this? I feel like it does not work when you take this approach. Let me know.

Hi reactor, 1) You can do this kind of layout with Uncode header for sure. You can have a video loop with text over (http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/features/header-video/) and you can also open a video from a button of your choice (http://www.undsgn.com/uncode/home/classic-studio/?style=lateral).
2) You ask me about a video fallback? I show you can have an image of your choice instead of video once you are on device.
3) “will adaptive scale this?” yes for sure you dont see it? About adaptive images they work based on the device, so you dont see any changes with a just a browser resize, they changes based on device so it’s not something you can test only on desktop, please analyse this page once loaded on iPhone (if you have the developers tool to do this).

Thanks for the info! 1) Sweet! This is exactly what I am going for. Love that you can use your own button, nice touch. 2) Sweet! Exactly what I wanted, an image to default to on mobile devices.
3) As for testing on devices, I usually emulate on a browser, and on actual devices. (I’m a mobile interaction designer). I tested all of the pages on my devices to check the cropping. For the most part yes images are responding, but it looks like the headers are not responding as well as lets say an inline image would? I can post screen shots of what I mean as well for context.

Adaptive images should serve the appropriate image and scale proportionately from edge to edge of the device. not crop it. Correct? I noticed this with many wordpress themes, and I’m unsure if it’s when setting a background image on a column in composer.

Hi, it seems there is a bit of confusion what adaptive images is… Uncode is the only theme based on a truly adaptive images system. You can also define your custom adaptive breakpoints to sweet all device you need. So for example and image that weights 900kb on desktop are scaled to be 35kb on mobile device. If you need to perfectly control you images you need to use once of the responsive techniques I told you above.
ps: in your example you show me an image src, in theme examples we discus about fullscreen background images. I hope you can understand the difference. In every website with background images they are cropped to full-fill the screen. You cannot find the perfect image ratio for every monitor. I hope you have a solid web background (it seems yes) to understand this because its a bit too long discussions to explain here
Totally understand. It looks like it does work for the most part. I guess the challenge is making sure that whatever is important in those full-width header images usually falls in the center portion of the image. The thing for me is most people use their phone for everything so I take a mobile first approach to my stuff and act as if most people will be visiting the site on a device. Everything else looks great and responds well.
I’m sure with the flexibility of the theme and support I can fine tune my clients site to exactly what I need it to be on mobile, specifically. I think this is the theme of choice so I will for sure be in touch with you guys down the line when I am fine tuning some stuff and need some guidance.

Hi reactor, I think you are talking about “focal point” not “adaptive images”. Anyway as I say you can have an header for desktop and one for device (just play with visibility settings) Ok! We are glad to have you on board.
Theme is truly amazing. However, are there preloader options? Does this have preloader between page loads?

We focus Uncode on speed and performances, we are also a bit bored about loading spinners. This is not an option of this first version, sorry. Most of themes use loading screens to hide jumpy layouts while the site is loading, with Uncode you don’t need this artifice. Anyway you are not the only one ask about this and I understand that in some situations it might be interesting. This is just in our roadmap but it will be not one of the features of the next update that focus on other improvments.
