Hi, I have some weird code at the top of my site: http://fairdinkumradio.com/ I think it is to do with the theme as I tried disabling all plugins and it stayed there then I switched the theme to twentysixteen and it went. I have updated the theme as well as wordpress and all the plugins to latest versions but no joy. Any ideas?
Hey there, this is the first time I’m encountering something like this. Have you made any customizations to the theme that could have let this slip in? Either way, could you create a dummy account for me using the email support@themestation.net.That way I can take a closer look at what might be happening myself. Thanks!
Thanks, I have set you up an account and emailed you. I am using a child theme with only a few lines of css changed.
What do you recommend for tracking how many subscribers I have in iTunes and my regular feed link? Thanks!
Hi there,
Tracking iTunes subscribers and RSS subscribers can be tricky, unfortunately I don’t have any specific tools I could recommend. Maybe this link could be a good starting point for you: http://www.podcastadvice.co.uk/measuring-your-podcast-stats/ Hope it helps!
Hi How do i remove the “Front Page – ....” from my home page
There should not be any title if you’ve set up the static front page. Please follow the instructions on how to set one up. You can find them in the documentation under the chapter “Getting Started”.
Hi The list of episodes show up only when there are more than 1 episode i guess but they show in column format in mobile not in list format any way to change this
Hi there,
The first episode is automatically the featured episode as well, which is why there is no list if you only have one episode. Simply post more than one post and the list will begin.
HI,
I’ve purchased this about 4 months back and used a very custom config to setup my site – it’s completely different from the demo sites and is available at www.foundersgyan.com
I did read back then that the “blog header” wasn’t supported correctly and this reflects even now on my homepage with the unusual size and positioning of my header logo.
Just wondering if any of the recent updates have fixed this? I also noticed that the logo doesn’t at all show on mobile phones and is not responsive at all.
Can you help out on this?
Thanks,
Ram
Hi there,
It seems like you haven’t set up your static front page, was this done on purpose? You also don’t seem to have uploaded your logo in the theme options under “Logo”. Doing this will make it responsive as well, currently you have set it up as a blog header, which is reserved for high res photos for example. If you need more guidance in setting up Podcaster, please look up the chapter “Getting Started” in the theme documentation.
HI,
Sorry for the late response, but I was a bit busy. The static front page wasn’t setup on purpose to get the look of the site that I currently have. I wanted this custom look.
Setting “Logo” under theme options doesn’t help in solving this problem once I don’t have a static front page (or I’m guessing that’s the cause of it not working)
What can be done to get this working?
Thanks a lot
Apologies, I tried setting the logo again, but it seems to require a very strange size requirement of width=200px and height=110px for whatever reason and is not resizing a bigger image to that dimension. This is what I mean by using “Logo setting is not working”
Hey there, sorry about that. Could you create a dummy account for me so I can log in and take a look? Please use the email address support@themestation.net. Thanks.
Hi there, I took a look at what you meant and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong per se. The logo should not be larger than 260px * 110px. I doesn’t have to be that size, it can be smaller, too, but shouldn’t be larger. You can read more about that in the documentation: In the section Theme Options (http://themestation.co/documentation/podcaster/#theme-options) under Logos.
If you want to use an image larger than that, and make a customization outside of the recommended settings, I’d recommend using this bit of CSS to make sure it’s squeezed into the logo space: header .main-title a { background-size: 100% auto; }
Please keep in mind that this will distort smaller images set as the logo and should only be used for larger images.
I hope this helps!
Ok thanks for the help!
Hi,
Sorry to bother again, can you please take a look at www.foundersgyan.com – with the new logo at 260×110 it seems to work fine, but on a mobile device, the bottom bit of the image gets cut off – why would this be? I think there is still some issue with the responsiveness – please have a look at the website with Chrome on a mobile device to understand what I”m saying. If that doesn’t work, I’ll post a screenshot
No worries!
Have you uploaded your retina version logo as well? It should be exactly double the size and will be displayed for mobile devices. At the moment it doesn’t seem to be set.
HI,
Actually there seems to be an issue here. I have uploaded a 444×220px logo and it is almost fine (some minor cutoff at the top). But when I follow your advice and use a 520×220 px logo (double the size), there is a lot of things getting cutoff
Can you please confirm the size that should be used. It is definitely not 520×220
Please take a look at the site now on a mobile device. Currently, I’m using 444×220 and it seems better than 520×220
Thanks again
Since you added that little bit of code the responsive css declaration made in style.php is being overridden. Please add this bit to your customization as well:
@media screen and (max-width: 992px) {
header .main-title a {
background-size: 25% auto;
}
}
Hi Sorry, for late response, but adding this code makes the logo very small and in the center of the banner and doesn’t solve the issue—Edit: Have sent an email with screenshot to Support@themestation.net
Hi there,
Sorry about that. You can adjust the 25% value, until it suits your needs. I chose 25% because that works for most logos. But if you think it’s too small increase the value until you’re happy with the way it looks.
And one more! Is it possible to center the logo and navigation (with logo appearing above the navigation)?
Hello there! I have three questions. 1. How can I add a Soundcloud Icon/Account to the social media icon bar/list? 2. How do I REMOVE the text over the featured episode that reads… “NEXT TIME ON PODCASTER A Long Walk in the Forest”? 3. Does the Gallery support video? Many thanks!
Hi there, I’ll get right to your questions.
1. There is no SoundCloud icon as of now. It will be added in the next update (due in 2-3 weeks) sorry about that. 2. At the moment, the easiest way to do this at the moment is by using this bit of CSS to hide the text: .next-week .content.scheduled { display:none; } 3. Podcast uses WordPress galleries, which don’t support video as far as I know. You can use video playlists, those are supported. 4. About the logo: To do this you’d have to edit the code and make your own customizations. As of now there is no way of doing it in the theme options.
I hope this answers your questions!
Thanks! Any updates on the Soundcloud icon?
24th is the release date for the next update. It will include the Soundcloud icon. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks so much! Looking forward to it
So, I can do the classic text only header instead of the player, right? Also, I notice on the classic only version the header graphic is gigantic. Can I use a much smaller graphic and it will still fit if the width is the same (only height is a ton smaller?) Also, can I use different player versions or only yours? For example, Libsyn.com has new players now – can those be used instead? Thanks – Robert
Hey there, before I get to your question, could you please use the account you used to purchase this theme to post your support request. At the moment I do not have a proof of purchase or support. Thanks!
I did not buy it yet – I want to but I need your reply letting me know if I can use it the way I want to or not. That was the reason for the question. I look forward to your reply to my original question.
Sorry about that, your question was so specific, I thought you had already purchased and were setting up, my bad haha.
To your questions: If you choose the text only header, you can use the padding options found within the theme options to adjust the space below and above the text. Currently only Podcaster players are supported. Updates to include the new Libsyn players are on the way.
I hope this answers your questions and sorry about the mix-up!
Thanks – So, is the header size for the graphic customizable as well?
The header image is uploaded as a background. You can use the padding to set space above and below the text area. Even if you remove the text, the padding settings will still work. So yes, you can adjust the height for the text only header in the theme options.
Hi, I was working on the Podcaster theme and adding some text for the feature header on featured-header.php. On line 124, I removed the default text regarding adding preview info (from within the quotes), and placed my one liner. When I clicked to Update File, I gor the following
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’s’ (T_STRING) in /home3/mstelluser/public_html/wp-content/themes/podcaster/functions/featured-header.php on line 124”
At this point, my entire site has crashed and cannot enter the admin portion of my site. The site is www.muslimstorytellers.org.
Admin site is http://muslimstorytellers.org/wp-admin
Any help would be greatly appreciated, looking to launch tonight.
Hey here, I forgot to tell you this when I answered your previous question. Could you please use the account you used to purchase this theme so I have a proof of purchase as well as support. Thanks!
Hello! I am getting this message on my homepage “This is a placeholder for you sticky navigation bar, it should not be visible.” Can you help me remove it? Thanks! URL: http://www.crushpodcast.com/
Answered your email!
Hi there, I just purchased this theme and noticed I do not have the Envato Toolkit and Redux Framework Plugins that are recommended in the documention. The only plugin within the plugin folder of the download is the Theme Station Shortcodes.
Nevermind, I found them. Thanks!
Ok, when I try to upload the Redux Framework it installs but then comes up with an error that says it does not have a valid header or that it already exists. Please help

I’ll mark this as done, since you figured it out as stated in the email you sent
We are having an issue with the audio player. When someone starts to listen to a podcast they are pressing pause and then play again. The podcast restarts and then just stops. You have to refresh the page to get the podcast to start again but, then it starts over.
I am using libsyn. Thanks.
Hey there, could your send me a URL so I can take a closer look at what might be going on? You can send it to support@themestation.net if you like. Thanks!
Hey there, I took a look and tried doing exactly what you described. Started an audio file, paused after some time and then re-started again. So far everything seems fine, its playing without interruption after the first pause. How much time passes between the audio restarting and then it just stopping?
Either way, Podcaster uses the default WordPress audio player (simply re-styled to fit the theme) so it should work perfectly. Either way, I want to get to the bottom of this, so your answers would be helpful.
I just tried it again to get some time measurements. I let the podcast play for 32 seconds, hit pause and counted to 5. I hit play again and the podcast played for half a second and then stopped. I wanted to try it again just make sure it has had time to load the episode. I let it play for 2 minutes 46 seconds. I hit pause, counted to 10 then hit play again, it continued to play for 1 second and then stopped. I tried this on Safari just to see what would happen. On Safari it worked just fine. My other tests were on Chrome. Maybe it just did not work well with Chrome. I appreciate you looking into this.
So I just looked into this, and yup, seems like this only happens in Chrome. Could you create a dummy account for me with admin rights? Please use support@themestation.net as the email and I’ll take a closer look. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi, I purchased the podcast theme a few weeks ago, and I recently started getting my webpage started. I am currently having difficulty in expanding the home page picture, the area between and header and the body. The demo of the theme had that area in full size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. To see what I am talking about, go to www.muslimstorytellers.org
Hi there, please make sure you’ve set a featured audio file for your podcast posts. That should make the audio player (and excerpt if you’ve activated that setting) appear on your header and make it appear larger. Hope this answers your question!
Thank you, that did it!
I would love to have a transparent navigation bar much like the one shown on the live demo. But I can’t seem to get that effect from the options given while customizing the theme on wordpress. How do I force the theme to make the navigation bar across the top operate like the live demo? Thanks!
Hi there, to get the transparent navigation bar, please go to Theme Options > Navigation. Next to “Navigation Background” check the small box called “Transparent”. Your menu will now be transparent. That should do the job!
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. The problem is that he purchased the theme through an account which he no longer has access to. We have the username of the account and the api key, but not the access to the account so we cannot download the newest version. And the updated within the Wordpress admin is also not working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We’d like to avoid having to repurchase the theme, if at all possible. Thank you!
Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to give you support if I can’t guarantee you actually purchased the theme. This is not to say that I don’t believe you, but support is currently limited to 6 months after purchase. Please try to get into touch with your developer or whoever purchased the theme for you and ask if they can make the support request. I’m really sorry about that.
I will be looking into the usability features you mentioned and see how and when they can be added. Thanks for that feedback.
Ok, I understand. The purchase was made over a year ago so it doesn’t qualify for support. Thanks anyway, we’ll work it out some other way.
Wordpress 4.4 broke the theme
Sorry to hear about that. On our side, everything is fine so far, sent a reply to your email.
Hi, I’m helping a friend on a non profit project for sight impaired people, offering audio content. He purchased the Theme over a year ago, but now I need some help to fix the Player – he tried to increase the size of the play/pause button and other controls but now the volume bar is not showing and it’s really being needed. If you can help it would be a huge blessing. The project site is http://projecto-omega.org. Any assistance to fix this would be much appreciated!
Hi there,
There have been multiple updates, since your friend first purchased Podcaster. Please ask him to update the theme first. He can download the newest version right here on ThemeForest. I’ll look into what can be done about the play/pause button size.
Is it possible to add a favicon?
Hi there, we recommend using a plugin to set up your favicon instead of themes. That way you’re logo/brand will not be interrupted in case you decided you change your theme.
The WordPress plugin repository has a lot of easy to use plugins you can install for this purpose. I hope this helps!
Hi I am l trying to figure out how to get iTunes feed to work properly. The message I get is: “We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed.” I am using SoundCloud for the actual podcasts and I love the theme – I just want to make this work. sigh… Maybe I need another coffee. Here is the site: http://ruralroutespodcasts.com/
Hey there, if your feed is being supplied by SoundCloud, you will have to get in touch with them if you’re encountering difficulties. Unfortunately there is nothing much I can do from my end.
Thanks! I think i figured it to.
Hi, my website is scienceunderground.org There is a bug on the home page for the categories listed against each podcast. The categories list shown is incorrect. Is this a bug? How do I fix this?
Thanks!
Hi there, sorry to hear about that. In what categories and tags have the posts on the home page been actually filed into? Could you name the actual categories and tags for episode 4 for example? Thanks.
Hi, the categories for episode 4 are Engineering, Physics, Short Podcast and Space. If you notice, all episodes show the same categories, which is not correct. Thank you for responding.
Hey there, I just checked the version of Podcaster you’re running and it is outdated. Please update to the newest version (1.5.4). You can do this by either updating through your dashboard. Or, if you haven’t received a notification on your end, downloading and installing a fresh copy. The issue you’re having should be resolved after the update.
Hi, Thanks for the info. I hope it will be resolved by just the theme update.
