Awesome theme, obviously 5 star rating forever 
however, since 7.0.5 My fontAwesome icons aren’t loading anymore in the visual composer (all squares), Cleared caches from both website and browser(s!), but no avail… Is this a common error? Hope it can be fixed soon? Thanks for the awesome work guys!

Thanks for the feedback! My company might not really like me handing out log-ins I’m afraid, so I’ll see if i can try to fix it myself (definitely since no-one else is complaining about it :) )I’ve tried it in a new -completely clean environment, and yet again on other PC’s and my own, even with the most recent FontAwesome in /windows/fonts we all get blanks. Maybe my Zip is corrupted, but it doesn’t seem likely…I’ll try that first, for now you can ignore it

Hello! Awesome theme ThemeNectar. I came across a bug with the pie chart element on the most recent update. 7.0.5. Whenever I try to add it to a page, post, or portfolio nothing happens. I tried to add it as a shortcode as well, but the pie chart is not available on the drop down, only the bar graph. I read a previous comment of someone else having the same issue and one of your team members said this update 7.0.5 would get that sorted, but the problem persist. Any updates on the solution? Thanks for your help!
Please disregard this support request, I resolved the issue by updating the visual composer plug-in as well.

Is your theme using the original VC templates for Rows and Columns? Is the visual composer that comes with this theme, the original, or have you modified it?
Hey, it’s a modified version but still uses the standard shortcodes for columns/rows – just some of the options for them are different
Been using Salient on several websites for a while now (user faithchurchfilm). However the update seems to have a MAJOR issue with WooCommerce. We have upgraded to 7.0.5 and the issue with Woo still is there. As long as that plugin is activated with Salient, it seems to break the site. Are there plans to fix this issue soon? Thx!

They said that the author has the option to send out notifications for minor updates, and that you chose not to. I’d suggest sending notifications for all updates as not receiving a notification causes people to feel that they need to constantly check their accounts to be sure rather than know they can just wait for an email.

I would like to create a site using salient and the homepage will use the full-screen video background nectar slider. Would it be possible to add a search bar into the slider that would live above the captions and buttons of the nectar slider?

That would require a form element to be coded into the caption field on the Nectar Slider – if you didn’t need multiple slides you could actually just use a visual composer row with video background. Adding a percent value for the top/bottom padding such as 20% would give the space you’re looking for

Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to have the setup of the one-page-scrolling site in combination with extra pages? I have my main page with all the sections using the anchor links. But for a portfolio I would like to use 1 or more extra pages. So the menu is a combination of anchor links and page-links. I’m running it locally with MAMP but I can’t figure out how to make the combination work. Full URL with anchor doesn’t do the trick, the website goes blank only showing the main BG-color. (http://localhost:8888/#anchorlink). Do you have any insights / suggestions for me?

The full URL would be the solution – have you tried to check the box for Disable Fade Out On Click in your page transitions tab in the options panel?

Are you sure that your footer reveal feature is working? It does not do for me. If I put more that 1 widget in a footer section, the top of the section is getting cut off because obviously, the feature does not calculate the height of the footer widget sections. Can you tell me something about what I see?

Could you share your URL so I can see your setup? Since the footer gets fixed to the bottom of the window with that effect, if your widgets were taller than the window height they would indeed get hidden. If that’s your case it wouldn’t be recommended to use that setting
no, it is not higher than the viewport. I just added another widget to one of the footer sections and that moved the top part of the footer behind the content. The website is under development. If it is online, I can give you the URL.

Are you just trying to make the header smaller overall? If so, have you played with the header padding / logo height in your options panel?

No. I want the behaviour of ‘resize on scroll’, but the header to abide by the behaviour of ‘use when needed’.

This theme is giving me major anxiety. Although the theme itself appears to be nice and well developed… the people “helping” take their time. Like 1 reply a day, response team. It got so bad, i had to hire help, which for the most part helped me fix my problem but 1 thing that we could not figure out is this error message in our WP dashboard: “Important notice: You have an outdated version of Visual Composer Design Options. It is required to review and save it.” when i click on the button the next page reads “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
Seams like this problem has been lingering for a while with this theme. Did a simple browse on google and appears that people run into this often with no resolution.

This problem is not a Salient specific problem, when you do a Google search of the notice you’ll see it’s possible to occur in any theme that uses a customized Visual Composer. It occurred for you because you used the raw version apparently unknowingly for a bit and then switched to the Salient one which removes some of the functionality of the standard one. I’ll reply on your ticket again shortly on how you can hide it

Some typography settings are overwritten by parent style.css if I have “move dynamic/custom css” enabled. Navigation and body font size doesn’t work, but font family does. I noticed through Chrome inspect tool that it appears as if dynamic/custom is not loaded after style.css, but before it. Any ideas?

I am having trouble with one single page in my portfolio on both desktop and mobile. This page http://scapesbeyond.com/portfolio/federal-land-bank/ displays fine on firefox and internet explorer (both re-size accordingly). However, in chrome and on all mobile devices (apple and android) the pictures become sideways and distorted. I know the pictures are tall, but do not see why they would completely shift in size.
Also, on firefox, my sliders do not appear to load on first access. i have to refresh the page for it to work. for example, if scapebeyond.com/portfolio displays white space below the header, but if i refresh the page then everything shows normal. Also, on safari, my logo appears out of place in the header. Any idea how to sort these issues?

1. I’m currently not seeing a difference on that specific page, have you changed the setup since posting? If not, could you supply a screenshot
2. Could you let me know what browser version/OS you’re seeing this on?
3. I’m also not seeing a difference on the logo positioning in that browser specifically – are you sure it’s not just because in Safari you’re viewing on a smaller browser window? On every browser I can see your header running out of room and dropping the nav underneath from around 1000px – 1300px
1. Portfolio items appear to be sorted now. 2. I think firefox was just bugging out as it appears to be working now.
3. Safari Version 5.1.7 appears to bug out. it seems the whole page is shifted a little.

Have you tried on a more current version of Safari? 5.1.7 is basically unused except for non mac users that are trying to test Safari since apple stopped updating that version many years ago
