Yes, you can do a grid like this. The theme offers a plugin called “Essential Grid” which allows you to do all sorts of grids like this. On my website inner pages the menu is overlapping the logo. It is fine on the homepage but all other pages it is not.

I’ll just give you a few quick pointers regarding your questions. For the menu/logo issue you just need to increase the “Top Area” height a bit which you could do from the theme’s “General Options” section.
Also, noticed in your slider on the home page that you need to fix the background color for some of the text which occurs black at the moment, for that please refer to this thread in the forum – http://dreamthemedesign.com/u-design-support/discussion/27021/what-s-new-in-u-design-2-7-15

Regarding my first question. I don’t think the logo “top area” height has anything to do with the issue. As mentioned before the HOMEPAGE looks great but the other pages the overlapping issue occurs. Why would the homepage appear perfect but the others not? Both are full width pages.
Well, the Top Area height will fix the issue, although I never mentioned the fact that you have the home page and the inner pages set at different width which is causing the logo and menu to come closer BUT increasing the top area height by about 10px would resolve this assuming you actually wanted those pages to have different width. Check the forum we had already responded on your question there.

I am interested in rebuilding an existing site with your theme. A couple of questions:
1. Can I install the theme and it’s imported content without wiping my existing pages and posts?
2.Can I build using the tradition Visual and Text edit menu or are your pages and structure reliant exclusively on Visual Composer or other code? I’d appreciate a reply on both points.

2 ) Yes, you can use the traditional Visual and Text editor, the Visual Composer plugin that comes with the theme is only optional but not required.

Hi, I have headers put in on the majority of my pages with a column background set to 350px using a spacer. All pages are set to full width template. When I look on mobile they do not shrink to fit within the screen. Did I miss something or can this be fixed with adding something to the column? Dev.bellaromafoods.com. Thanks!

I have a question.
If I get a graphic web designer to design me a PSD, can it be coded into your theme, or does he have to make the design look like your demo?
I’m confused as to how themes work when you cant a custom design done.

Thank you for the interest in the U-Design theme.
To your question, it’s best to work with the theme itself you don’t need a PSD for that, usually the theme itself is designed and built with a PSD. You could of course use a PSD design as a guide for your layout, but I don’t see the extra cost to hire someone to design you the PSD justified when a flexible theme will let you create most layouts you need. If you were to hire a graphic designer it’s more important that they understand WordPress themes and help you with some of the graphics that you’ll need, things like slider images, backgrounds, colors, etc.
Most users of my theme don’t need to use a PSD, they just work with theme’s options to set it up section by section to achieve their designed look and feel.

I understand that, but he’s not a coder nor a WP expert, so he’s just going to create the design for me without knowing anything about your theme.
My question is, can I make your theme match any design he comes up with once I get the PSD from him & then get a coder to make the changes?

Any theme would have some limitations, I’ll need to see the design to tell you, it’s hard for me to guess what he’s going to come up with. In general my theme is very flexible and can accommodate many designs. Show me another site that shows roughly what you want and then I can tell you how easy it would be to implement it with my theme.

I installed on my website the Visual composer plugin version 4.8.1 and wordpress version 4.4.1; i have an issue related to put more than 8 links for page built whit visual composer plugin; yesterday i have write to Visual Composer assistance, and they answer me:
“The issue is because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.”

Hello! I love the features of your theme.
For a customer I have to build an e-commerce store with a custom header for his landing page. Is your theme customizable to look and behave like my demo which you can find here: http://goo.gl/bbjCm1
There is no conventional navigation – just a pictogram menue. Important: The logo has to disappear when rendered on tablets in portrait mode and below. The headline (graphic) has to be centered instead of the logo. And the sidebar should appear at the end (centered).
Possible with your theme? Woud be great

pretty much anything is possible with my theme, it’s very flexible, that said there are some features that are a little easier to implement just by selecting and option, in your cause it would require most likely involving a “child” theme, which we also offer for U-Design, and the theme’s hooks/filters API which allows you to insert your special menu to always be present at the top of each page or selected pages, we could certainly offer you some help with that.
As for the sidebar in responsive mode, yes it would always position itself after the content in mobile devices by default.
