Hi, I’m working locally on a new website using the Avada theme, and everything was going fine until I updated WordPress to 4.4.
There are a number of issues now: Posts Sliders and Image Sliders aren’t working; they’re not sliding through images and posts.
Sticky Header isn’t working.
I’m using a OnePage site, but menu items now just jump to page links rather than sliding down, which was better.
Flip boxes aren’t working anymore.
Those are the only issues I’ve come across thus far. There is quite possibly an easy fix to all of this, but any help would be great.

Can you also make sure you have Avada up to date? You need to be using Avada 3.9 or higher if on WP 4.4.
The current version is Avada 3.9.3 and it is fully compatible with the latest versions of WP.
Make sure to also update fusion-core plugin when updating Avada, you will get a notice in the WP admin that it also needs updates, just follow the prompts!

Hi, I figured out the problem…the jQuery Updater plugin was causing the issues, so once I disabled that it all started working fine.

There are lots of questions about white space here and there. I can’t find an answer to my question: There is too many white space between the (Fusion) slider and the menu on this page (still working on it … ;- ). Can you give me THE solution to reduce that? I think all necessary padding options (in the theme options) are set to 0 (zero)

Hmm I am not seeing a slider on that particular page. But spacing can be adjusted in several areas. If it is below a fusion slider, then I have to guess it is the page top padding, which is in theme options > styling >layout options.
However, that will change it for every page, you can also change this setting on a per page basis. Edit the page and look below the content field for the fusion page options > page tab. Look for “Page Top Padding” setting.
Also, you can use the separator element in fusion builder to add or reduce space, it can take positive and negative values. So for example, you can insert one on the page and enter -30px and it will reduce the space by 30px.

Thanks also! It’s a ‘slider’ already, but, having only one image yet. I’ve tried everything you ‘advice’ already! Nothings seems to do it. Could it be it has something to do with this: . #wrapper > div.fusion-header-wrapper ?

I just installed your demo (classic) and I am unable to view the menu. I have tried resetting wordpress and starting all over a couple of times but it’s not helping. All plugins and php settings are fine and I also get a confirmation stating that the demo was imported successfully.

Hmm I imagine this is due to low PHP configs on your server. The WP menu takes up a lot of resources, and the larger the menu the more it will be. The Classic demo is the largest.
Go to Avada > System settings in the WP left sidebar and look for values in red. Check out this post for details: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/special-features/system-status-limits/

Hi! I wonder what settings you have for the Blogg>grid layouts? Can you set the order you want the wordpress loop items to be in (image/text/author/date etc)? And choose excerpt length, or even no excerpt at all? Can you set spacing and number of posts on a row too? I also wonder about the overlay effects if there are some to choose from? Lightbox option?

To answer your questions:
1 – The default order for the display of Blog posts, is the WP default, latest published date. If you want to change the order of posts you will need to use a 3rd party posts order plugin
2 – The excerpt can be set globally in the Theme Options panel or for individual instances of the Blog shortcode, using the shortcode settings. The excerpt is set numerically by number of words. If you set the excerpt count to 0 you will have this -> http://d.pr/i/GDdn
3 – Yes you can, using the available options
4 – For the Blog posts you can enable the lightbox option that on rollover of the image will display the featured image/s in a lightbox. The lightbox option works for Blog archive and single post page images

The option to choose excerpt words or characters is not working properly, sometimes it shows, other don’t. I have set characters to 12 then changed to 60 and still showing 12. Other post don’t even respond and do not show [...] I am using Law demo. Tnx

Actually maybe you can help us: we imported posts and pages from the production site to our development site. We have switched from Metropolis theme to Avada. Metropolis has been totally removed.
Both the “recent post” and “blog” shortcodes excerpts load content from God Knows Where! Exceprts text is the same as the old Yoast description text; if we change the description nothing happens and text remains as it was. Any clue? This is an important issue.

When using a full page slider and setting the entire slide to be an anchor link is there a way to make this a smooth scroll link. I cannot see a way to edit the code on the slide editor page.

I just setup the Fusionslider to show a youtube video, but when the page loads, the video skips, goes black, and then appears once it’s about 5 seconds in to it. Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?

Avada is working without problems with WordPress 4.4.2. Also your site looks good and pretty much the same as the cache from google. I guess you just forgot to update/activate FusionCore plugin and did that in the meantime?

In the fusion builder on the blog feed there is a option to “show all meta data” but there doesn’t seem to be a way to selectively show some meta data.. I want comments off removed from that, is it possible? I have it hidden everywhere else through the theme options.

I have few customer request to optimize their existing sites and I would likes to go with Avada. But I need a feature to get the blog post by ‘Tag’ (like the existing short-code to fetch the recent posts by ‘Category’). We (including other Avada users) have been requesting this feature from many months and I would like to know if there is any possibility to include this short-code.

I have two questions before buying: 1-Is this theme compatible with Easy Digital Downloads Frontend Submissions (mutivendor plugin) 2-Can the layout of the productgrid an productpage be easily changed? Because in the demo is not very well suited for digita products.

1 – Avada is compatible with the Easy Digital Downloads plugin, however, we have not tested Easy Digital Downloads Frontend Submissions for compatibility with Avada, we thereby unfortunately cannot guarantee 100% compatibility.
