Hey! As of now there’s no option by default to add a widget into the secondary header area – however if you use the off canvas navigation you can then add widgets to that area in the standard Appearance > widgets section of your admin panel

You’re using the custom thumbnail option which does not crop any aspect ratio – if you’re not supplying the same aspect ratio for all it would be better to use the featured image which auto crops to the same ratio regardless of what you upload
