I have HOWES theme but I can’t figure out how to update it so I can update my wordpress. It doesn’t have a way to update in my dashboard. I looked at your documentation to find the plugin “envato market” to update through and I couldn’t find that either? Do you have any help with what I may be doing wrong?

What is best way to update Howes. I bought with regular license. I can download the update whenever its ready from my download area, right? How to update from Wordpress dashboard? I would prefer to download via download section here and update manually. This will work, right?

Hello there, after updating to the new WordPress version and updating my Howes theme and plugins, Revolution slider no longer shows up on my home page. Can you please shed some light? Everything was working before the WP update.

We checked and found that you are using older version of Howes theme v12.0. Please update the theme to the latest version which is Howes v12.7
After update the theme, please update Visual Composer and Revolution Slider plugin and also other plugins too.

There is nothing in the theme that can block anything related to SEO. Also we are using SEO friendly code structure in our theme.
Technically, out theme cannot cause anything related to SEO as we are not filtering page content according to any URL. There must be any plugin that is doing this. Also make sure there is no robots.txt in root. You can consult a good SEO person and solve this issue.

Hello, on WeTranslate.ro we have an issue with the mobile menu. Everything is updated, working fine but on mobile it doesn’t display the menu even though is there. We use W3TC also and we used it before the updates and it worked just fine. Can you please help?

HELLO! How do I remove the RSS link on the top bar ? also where is the faded code for the background? what line what file? its the edge of the content.. does that make sense? there’s the body background color then there’s the middle content / it has a fading / shadow. I want to see where that line of code is so I can change it out to a think white border line

There is one issue that keeps returning though. When i update the page it goes back to having a sidebar and i have to go in and manually set full width and slider over again – any tip ?

This happens because of the Visual Composer. This can happen only with homepage. You need to set the sidebar option to full width again. Also make sure you have latest version of Visual Composer plugin and also latest version of Howes theme.

Actually the lightbox view (video, image etc) is responsive so it will adjust according to screen size.

The first possibility is, you are trying to install theme via full package zip file. It looks like you are installing theme package zip file as theme file. The theme package zip file contains theme, document and other files so you need to extract it to get all the files. The theme zip file size is 18.2MB and the name is howes.zip.
The second possibility is, the downloaded theme zip file is broken. Sometimes the downloaded package is broken. So re-download the package and try again.

For the Visual Composer update error, yes that is recent change in Visual Composer and also a bug in Visual Composer. Technically we called function to notify theme integration but the function is not working and showing this error. This will be solved in our next update. To solve this now on your server, you can update via FTP directly. Hi there. A while back I was having issues with the theme settings not taking. Some of them would but intermittently. I have upgraded the theme and plugins to the latest version and still am having problems. I have changed the colors on my H tag fonts but the colors do not change on my page layouts. When using the ThemeMount Heading, for instance, it does not matter what H tag I choose, it does not change after saving. And if I change the font colors in the theme settings, they appear to be saved but are not reflected on the pages themselves. I have flushed the cache but it does not help. Can you please help?

I am trying to install theme on local host and getting error 200 while setting up demo content. Can you please look into this.

Sometimes demo content setup will show 200 error on local pc. This may be because of slow or may be discussion internet problems. The error 200 means some images are already inserted (from our demo server) and it tries to re-download that images again. So you can try to remove all the images via Admin > Media section and try to import demo data again.
Also I recommend you to try on fresh WordPress so it will not get any error again.

Updating to latest version 12.1 and I get the usual “Update Required” link for Visual Composer (to go to v4.9.2) but when I click to update VC, I get the message “To receive automatic updates license activation is required”. This upgrade did work fine on previous theme updates, but doesn’t seem to work in this one. The pre-packaged update for Slider Revolution works fine. Thanks.
