Avada has a ‘Widget Area’ shortcode that can be placed inside the page/post content areas. If you are not using a slider at the top of your page, you can then use this method to place a widget under your menu. Please have a read of these two articles for more information:

At the moment, the Fusion Page Builder doesn’t support nested columns. We are going to be including this functionality in the next update of the Fusion Page Builder that is due out not long after the Avada 4.0 release.

Hi, are we able to edit the styling of the arrows for image carousel via theme options or do we have to implement css edits? For css edits, how do I make them invisible?

At the moment we don’t have any options to change the styling of the image carousel arrows specifically, so you would need to use custom CSS.
I’d recommend giving it a go yourself using any of the number of CSS tutorials that are out there, along with the quick CSS guide from our documentation:

I like several aspects of different demos that come with the theme. Can I load multiple demos, identify how they implement the elements I like best, select the demo that most closely resembles what I want to do, and then modify it based on what I took/learned from the other demos? I think the main question is really: Can I load a demo and then load another demo? I’m guessing the rest of my questions would be Yes.

All of the elements in any demo can be created in a fresh installation of Avada. We use the different demo’s to show the versatility of the theme and what can be achieved through it’s options.
In regards to using multiple demo’s at the same time, it is possible to import the content from multiple demo’s, however as they rely on different Theme Options, the styling will not be the same after importing the second one.
It’s recommended that you reset your WordPress installation before importing each demo, so that you get a clean installation of that demo’s content and settings. You an use this plugin to reset your installation:

Is there a way to append the blog (most recent) to the footer i.e. to show up on every page on the site so I can manage it centrally?
I generated the blog layout that I want; 4 columns, post preview etc. that I want to appear. I’ve tried pasting the snippet in the footer.php and the options in the Avada theme settings, but the only thing that shows up is the code.
Is there a way to command it to read that code and apply it?

If you want to render the shortcode output in your footer, you will need to generate the shortcode, then place it inside the do_shortcode() function.

Thanks for this. It has sent me into a rabbit hole, and seems to be a bit more advanced than I am.
I’m not sure, and can’t tell from what I’ve found, where to place everything:

Hello. Thanks for such an awesome theme. have one question: my portfolio category filter dont works with cyrillic letters in the category names? any way how to fix it? And is it possible to change filter align to center? Thank you!

Hmm, the category filters should just be using the same font as the rest of your content, so the cyrillic characters should display as normal. Can you please head on over to our support center and submit a ticket with these two questions?

We’re also looking forward to getting Avada 4.0 out into the wild!
At the moment, we’re going through beta with our group of testers. The final release date will be heavily influenced by this testing period, but it’s going well so far. I would tentatively say it will be released around the end of March or the beginning of April, but those dates aren’t set in stone.

You will need to either manually delete the additional items, or reset your WordPress database and import the demo again. You can use this plugin to reset your database:

I sent a support email to avada and have not yet heard from anyone… I just bought the avada theme after installation I’m not able to see any content on my front page… it’s all blank. Can someone check this out for me?

Hello, ThemeFusion ! such an awesome theme. “Lifestyle” demo especally. is there any way to set the url and hover effect at column’s background as it represented in Lifestyle’s homepage (i mean 4 columns at the top) ?

Yes, this is achieved by using the options on the ‘Column’ shortcode. There is an option for ‘Hover Type’ and for ‘Link URL’ which can be used to replicate the effect on the live demo.

I’ve been a big fan of the theme and several of my clients have purchased licenses. But I have to say the lack of image gallery features is really lagging behind other themes. To not have a masonry option at least for photo galleries is kind of crazy. The Carrousel is nice, but there is no option to easily set a height on it (again pretty standard in other themes I use). The stock theme styling of image galleries is just bland as well. Everything else is great in the theme, but please update photo gallery options to match.
