Recently I’ve bought your Samba theme for Wordpress and I would like to do something, I’m not sure that is supported in this theme – I would like to create 4 or more portfolio pages, where each one of them would be a portfolio filtered by a different skill. Is it possible to create a specific URL, that I would put in my menu, that would lead to that specific portfolio page with a specific skill (but with a skill filter above)?
The second question is – is there any way I can create 2 (or more) different contact pages? The problem is, I currently have 2 stationary shops, that are in different places and I would like them to have separate contact pages, accessible through menu.

Hello Pirenko, I have a question about the sub navigation on the menu bar. In safari the + sign on the right hand side of the parent link doesn’t open to expand the child links. In Chrome it opens just long enough to bring up the parent link page and then quickly closed again. Is there a setting we missed that makes it work appropriately? We opened that website on Chrome and it seems to be fine. Probably that issue is happening because you are logged in as admin (please log out and re-test on Chrome).
On the next theme update we are going to make a general revision and improvement to this system, because this situation is confusing for some users.

http://baticlac.com/My main menu has sub-menu items. For example, Baticlac>Le groupe. For “Baticlac” item in the menu I used the custum url function with http://baticlac.com/# to desable the link, (like it is set in the theme demo) but it doesn’t work like the demo, the home page still charging when I click on the link baticlac (instead of cliking on the X) to close de sub-menu. It is possible to fix it ?

Hello,
I have an issue with my main navigation and its subnavigation. When I hover on top level to view secondary level, the js is very quick and my browser goes to the top level link. I do not get a chance to “click” on the secondary menu item.

Hi, I know that plugins that are loaded in the loading page, just works when the “ajax loading” is off. So would be a full page loading. Is there a way to fix this problem? Make a call to load 2 plugins during the ajax?

It is visual composer necessary? can i just disable it?
Plus, When I use tables. To set a video on the left and text on the right side. The ajax, does not load tables properly? the normal way works. but ajax get messy

I updated to the newest version today and so many things do not work anymore. My blog does not show up correctly. Single blog posts behave strangely. For example, when I click on the X to go back to the blog, it goes to the homepage. Also, if I am on a single blog post and I refresh the page, I get a blank page. Yea I updated all the plugins too. Whenever I refresh the blog page it just goes blank. Thanks anyway
It was the Twitter widget causing it. I removed it and it worked like before. Maybe you should test that widget to make sure it works correctly just in case someone else also has problems? Anyway, thanks

My main menu has sub-menu items. For example, when you click SERVICES, the menu expands. Though I want user to be able to click SERVICES to get to the top of the SERVICES page (all the sub-menu items are just page jumps on that same page).
Is there a way to make the menu link to the page, and expandable ONLY when they click the +/x symbols on the right?

The menu button works as a full block and the text is not separated from the +/x symbol. What we can try and implement is to make the menu button load the page and keep the sub-menu closed and if you click it after the page is loaded and visible then it will expand.

Hi Pirenko, I installed WPML to have a bilingual site. When I click on selector language to switch from french to english I’m always redirected on the english version of the post or portfolio which has been loaded first. When I turn off the Ajax load feature the synchronisation between the translations is working. But I want to keep ajax load navigation. So, I wonder if there is a solution in order to keep load ajax option and synchronisation of the translations. Thank you for your answer! Adna

It is intended to be like that, but you can add some content to the page (this content will only be visible on mobile). And, at the same time you can hide that big slider on smaller screens with some custom CSS.

I created a playlist in wordpress, and integrated it in a page (with visual composer), but the playlist doesn’t appear in the page. If you are using a plugin like that you should turn OFF the Ajax load feature. This can be done under Samba Options>General tab. If you want to turn OFF Ajax loading only for certain pages please check the theme documentation.

I have two another problems and I wonder if it is because of a wrong setting of samba theme : - First problem For this website (the new adress is http://baticlac.com), I use a seo plugin (yoast) and I have a double sitename in my meta title for all my pages (except home page). For exemple “BATICLAC | Espace presse | BATICLAC” instead of “Espace presse | BATICLAC” like it is set in the plugin admin AND in the panel control of the page. - Second problem I am not able custom the url, each time I try, the page is indicated as “not found”.

Ah and I forget another problem with the contact form. The mail adress in the setting is correct but the test mail doesn’t work.
Here are our comments:
1) Please check the plugin options, because we think that there’s an option to force the title rewriting;
2) That feature should be working fine. Please just make sure that you don’t have any page or post with the same slug. Also, please follow the instructions carefully when you change the slugs under Samba Options>Advanced tab (there’s an info panel on the upper part of this page);
3) Probably your hosting plan is blocking sending emails via the wp_mail function. You should get in touch with them to remove this restriction. You can also try and install the free plugin Contact Form 7 that has alternative ways to send emails;

Hello, Thank you for your response. 1) the plugin option “to force title rewritting” was unmarked. It seems that the wordpress title and slogan in general settings of the admin wp panel override the plugin set up for the home page and duplicate sitename for the other pages..Have you an idea ? Is it Samba ? 2) I check and everything seems ok. Each time I try to change a link of a page, it fail. It is possible that there is a pb with the database or maybe the htaccess ? 3) thank you for your advices, I’ll check the hosting plan.
update : I finally found a solution for pb number one, sorry I thnik I misunderstood you answer

The theme has a preloader on the upper part of the screen. You can customize it with CSS, but I don’t know if this is enough for waht you want to do.
If you prefer you can dig into the main.js file located on the js folder (search for nprogress which is where the preloader is in action).

Hi Pirenko, Since the last update to samba 53, when I edit in Visual Composer a “single image” and I choose the option “On click action:link to large image ”, it doesn’t work any more. That row is actually boxed in terms of how it looks, but on smaller screens the content (and this row) may still be occupying the whole center are width. What you can do is insert this content on an inner column (that is smaller) and set up a background color.
As for the padding you can add some custom CSS for that.
