not sure if you mean some third party page builder but the theme offers Visual Composer plugin as one option for visual page building other than the the native WordPress editor. Also it doesn’t come with mega menu so you could always install one on your own like UberMenu if you’d like.

Pre-Purchase Question:
I have a Visual Composer license and want to activate my VC with this theme, so I can keep VC updated myself. I know your theme has it included, but I have had trouble in the past with bundled themes and VC that take ages to update, so I want to control that myself. Is that possible?

Yes, I make sure to NOT interfere with purchased VC licenses, so I do checks in my code for that, you should be fine.

I recently updated U-Design on my site. when I did it also told me to update several plugins including revolution slider. When I did, now it asks me for a license code and I cannot edit the slides. They play properly, but when i try to edit them, its as if there aren’t any layers to edit.

BuddyPress could be one, other than that I suppose the most popular ones should work, I haven’t used any membership plugins in a while to have hands on experience but in general their function is Access Control which should not be a problem for most themes.

If you have purchased the theme prior to September 1st, 2015, then your support status is “Grandfathered” meaning you will be able to ask questions in the support forum. What is important is to make sure you sing in with the green button that says “Sing in with Envato”. That Envato SSO sign in will help update your support status to “Grandfathered”.

no, what I’m saying is that the more current the release the better chance it will be compatible with latest everything, it’s because it’s been most currently tested and worked on with latest technologies, I don’t go testing old releases of the theme unless absolutely necessary in some cases. it’s possible but it will require custom coding, you will have to add it to the Widget area which the theme offers in the header. We have an example with code in the support forum on how to add multiple logos or banners to the header which is similar thing.

There is an excessive amount of overuse of !important declaration in the css making it painful to override. Please consider improving css in future releases
if you need a hand with any CSS please post to the support forum. As far as overwriting some of the theme’s core CSS I would suggest you use a child theme which you can also grab from the support forum, I make sure the “child” theme’s style.css is loaded after the theme’s styles.

I am using a child theme – but trying to override css where it has been coded as !important in the main theme is challenging
you can add !important to your custom CSS from the child theme and it will overwrite it.

What is the CSS you’re looking to overwrite exactly?

I have fixed my css by using !important but I really don’t like using !important and had hoped you could look to improve the theme in the future
People tend to over dramatize it, for some maybe “lazy” for others could mean different things, it’s only one’s own opinion. I prefer using it where I see fit, especially for elements where I find third party plugins might interfere, I would like the theme styling to be rock solid that way, or perhaps I didn’t want certain elements to be easily “pushed around”. I’ve found titles/headings and menus to be most vulnerable and where I’ve had issues in the past with third party plugins. In general I always try and use semantic and as unique as possible IDs and classes which helps a lot. After all you have the option to overwrite it should you have to!? Google won’t take any points if you use !important once in a while 
Also in most cases if you drill down your CSS to be as specific as possible to that element you won’t have to use ”!important” to overwrite it.
Anyhow, thanks for suggestion, I appreciate any comments.

I received the child theme and installed as required however when I activate the child theme I can no longer use the UDesign setting screen the options will not open if there happens to be one open on a refresh you can change the content in that option but no others will open. If I reactivate the original theme the problem remains, if I delete the child the problem remains. am i doing somehting wrong?

Hi – I am trying to activate the revolution slider with the purchase code that is available, but it is throwing an error that the code is invalid. Please help
Do you have your own purchase code? This option is only for people who have purchased the slider themselves. When you obtain the slider through a theme then you will not be able to activate it. If you want to activate it you always have the option to purchase your own license, otherwise you’ll be updating it with the theme.

I don’t see why you should not be able to use this plugin. I personally don’t have any experience using it but if it’s been coded following WordPress best coding practices it should work fine with the theme.
