That URL just throws a 404 error, but I’m going to assume you mean the dropdowns on the Inventory pages… You would need need to either use custom css to hide the dropdowns based on other pages, or customize the plugin files.

I have multi-site enabled. My editor is only accessible in network admin all changes I make there dont work and dont reflect on my website.
I have to make changes in custom styling in custom CSS. This is a bit of pain. Is there a way to fix this?

No, I have installed the child theme and make use of that editor to make changes.

Ok I will try that method. All I want to do is edit the child theme CSS so when I update the theme none of my CSS changes will be lost.
In that case you can just put your changes under Theme Options > Custom Styling > Custom CSS

There isn’t an existing widget for it? If it is possible to create this widget and add to sidebar1 then it will be easier enough to add on all the required pages?
You can find this under Appearance > Widgets and it is called [LISTINGS] Categories. It functions just like any other WordPress sidebar.
No, thats not what I am referring to. Please check your homepage and the heading Search Our Inventory! There is a widget underneath that heading that serves as a search filter. I would like that exact same search filter not the category listings.
Sorry I misunderstood the question, you can add this via the Automotive Shortcodes in Visual Composer. If you imported the demo content it should be all setup like our demo site so you can easily see how everything is setup.
Ok I just thought it would be more practical if you had it as a widget then it would be easier to replicate on all the pages as a sidebar.

If you look closely at the single listing page you will see the sidebar layout is larger then your typical WordPress sidebar. Because we have a specific layout for this page, you cannot add the WordPress sidebar to this page (they are integrated into the template). You can edit the page template file here: wp-content/plugins/automotive/auto_templates/listing_content.php and if you want you can do it in such a way you can still update the theme and plugin. Just a question regarding the file import. I have used a different car dealer theme in the past and used a plugin called wpallimport.
I am please to see this theme has a built-in bulk import. My question is if I am uploading over 700 cars initially this might work fine for the first upload.
What if after every few days I want to upload a new file that reflects changes, for example 50 cars need to be deleted how will this be best processed? Can I just upload the CSV file again? Will this not duplicate my existing listings and how will this delete listings that are not in my new CSV file that reflects the cars in stock?
This is a very important part of managing a car dealer website, I hope the file import can manage this task with easy steps to explain?
Yes, we include this feature under Listings > File Import and you can use either CSV or XML format. We have customers that have successfully done thousands of cars, but it really depends on the specifications and configuration of your dedicated server, it is up to you and your server administration to set this up properly (this is not something we provide support for). There are a ton of variables with the cars, how many images, how big the images are, the hardware specs of the server, your download speed, the upload speed of the source server, PHP configuration for timeouts, etc etc.
We offer an Automatic Importer plugin that can be purchased separately from the theme if you want to schedule your imports, and it also gives you options for whether or not you want to remove listings not found in the import, delete listings prior to import, overwrite images on existing listings, etc. You can email sales@themesuite.com for more information if this is something you are interested in.
Yes I would obviously need such a plugin otherwise it would be impossible to manage my uploads. How else would I delete my listings etc.

To me it would be very important to have a search inventory sidebar on every page as this is the main function of a car dealer website for users to search for cars!!!

On the main Blog page, how do i edit the right hand sidebar? Like for example, how would i modify and or take out the META, TESTIMONIALS?

I do have one more minor question. On the homepage when i place a “Post Grid” to show the most recent blogs it leaves me with a big “No Image” field and right below it shows the blog image with copy. Is there any way i can remove the big blue “No Picture” picture? And is there a way to cut down on the characters? To a maximum of 50-60? before having to click on the “Read More”?

This should be covered in the included documentation for Visual Composer. You should be able to remove/change those by using a custom post grid in Visual Composer, but you could clarify that on their comments page. You should also be able to change the characters in the post grid settings as well.

Where does it say the theme version? So when I download and update I am sure I am using the latest theme?
Also where does it say what new features are included in the update so I can decide whether or not its worth doing the update?

in the theme, under the inventorypae, I have view lists turned off, yet they still appear. how do I hide it so a user cant change the list views?
That is only for the Inventory Page Template, but if you used the Inventory Shortcode to display the inventory on the page you will need to change the settings in the shortcode (as the shortcodes are managed separately from the page templates). Just edit the shortcode and you will see the option in there
Hi, Kudos to You for developing such a Great Theme !!! Your Ratings speak for themselves. I run a Used Car Aggregator Portal where different Dealers can offload their inventory. Now, I think Your theme is targeted specifically at Single Dealerships. Therefore, I plan to modify Your theme to suit My needs by offering various Membership Levels and Restricting Content as per the Dealer Package. Kindly let Me know if some of these Features are Supported or Possible to Implement :
1. Featured Listings : Does the theme have provisions for Featured Listings ? I want to specifically display Featured Listings on the Homepage with a “Featured” Badge on their Images.
2. “Top of the Category” Listings : For premium Dealers, I want to display their Featured Listings right at the Top of their Respective Category and make them a Sticky. How do I achieve that with this theme ?
3. Remove Filters from the Sidebar : http://demo.themesuite.com/automotive-wp/wide-sidebar-left/ Over Here, there are two filters, i.e one at the top of the Listings ( Below the Header ), and the other at the Left side ( in the Sidebar ). I want to remove the Filter from the Sidebar, so that I can utilize that space for other purposes. Possible ?
4. Frontend Submission : I couldn’t see any Feature that makes it possible to submit Listings in the Frontend. Kindly guide Me to the url of page if I’ve missed it. However, if there is no such feature, I’ve got a workaround where I can bring the CPT to the Frontend. That is achievable, but its going to take quite some time for Me to implement.
5. Bulk Listing Import : Does the theme have provisions to Bulk Import Listings from Excel or CSV files ? Also if supported, any way to bring this Import tool to the Frontend for My Dealers ?
6. Bulk Import and Mass Edit : So, In My Excel Sheet, I’ve got a total of 72 different Porsche Boxsters from different Dealers. Now, the Vehicle Overview, Features and Options, and Technical Specifications will remain same for all the Models of the same Year. The only thing different is the Location of the Car, and the Dealer’s Mobile Number. Now, My question is this : Can I somehow Bulk Set the “Vehicle Overview, Features and Options, and Technical Specs” for all the similar Car Models placed under the same category ?
Point #6 is extremely important for Me while Importing My listings in Bulk. It would be virtually impossible to edit each and every post and set the Vehicle Overview and other info, especially for similar vehicles, because there are 1000’s of cars that I’m migrating into Wordpress as CMS.

1. Not really, you could create a listing category for Featured Listings and then use the Inventory Shortcode to only display these listings, and put listing badges on each. But there isn’t a built-in way outside of that.

We have a Frontend Submission plugin we sell separately from the theme for it, however we pulled it down recently as we are revamping the whole thing and there isn’t any upgrade path for it (so we don’t want to keep selling the old version). 5. Yes we include a CSV and XML importer. It is in the backend (wp-admin) under File > Import.
6. Yes, you can just include these in your CSV and import them with the batch at the same time. There are fields for them in the import.

Yes, yes, and no. No automatic posting but people can share it as displayed on our demo site. Not automatically though.
For some reason my Visual composer stopped working properly – when you click on edit component or change text element, the elements doesn’t load the text GUI or anything,, and the content is not visible in the editor,, all white box..
Any reason for that,, is it because of the recent update for visual composer as I am using the same one that came with the theme which is 4.10 & not 4.11?

If that doesn’t fix it then disable any 3rd party plugins you have installed outside of Automotive Listings, Visual Composer and Revolution Slider (which are included with the theme).
You may have a conflict with another plugin.
I am considering purchasing this theme for use with a used golf cart sales business. I’d like to know if it is possible to modify the car attributes to be more inline with golf carts. For instance rather than display these items: Body Style: Convertible Mileage: 126,273 Transmission: 5-Speed Manual Drivetrain: RWD
Replace with these attributes: Batteries: 6×12v Battery Type: Lithium Ion Seating capacity: 2 Windshileld: no Rims: Steel etc, etc

I can’t access your Google doc it says I don’t have permission to view it, however you can go to Listings > Listing Categories and in the right-hand column beside each listing category there is a Delete link. Just click this link on each of your categories
I want to delete ‘Terms’, not categories. Is it possible?
Just click that Listing Category (I don’t know how to write it in chinese) in the gray left column and you can delete them all. So in english it would Makes, and the terms would be BMW, Porsche, etc. Click Makes (whatever the chinese for Makes is) in the left column, then you will see all the Terms (and you can delete them).
