Dear Plethorathemes,
First of all, thanks for a wonderful template! Secondly, I have a question regarding custom post types. In this template, there are multiple custom post types that are registered and not used by my child theme. How do I deregister/remove them (maybe in functions.php?)? It is needed for me in order to keep my child theme clean and be able to update the parent theme safely.

Hello t-sostak,
There is no need to touch your child theme for this. All Plethora Themes come with a functionality that allows you, not only to disable the custom post types that you don’t need, but shortcodes, widgets and other modules as well!
All you have to do, is go to Theme Options > Advanced > Features Library and find those features you want to remove and click the “Deactivated” option. Keep in mind that if you disable an element, all depended elements will be deactivated too ( in example, deactivating Terminology post type, will deactivate Terms Index shortcode too ).
Note, that you can activate those elements back any time you like.

Forgot to mention, that your installation will not be affected on theme updates…everything will be as you set them, since the configuration is saved in database and not on parent theme.

Widget issues. I am having an issue with the sidebar and page widgets. I have deleted them but they still show up. Now I can’t edit them because they don’t exist in the widget area

Hello, we are working to support PinPoint booking plugin in our 1.5 version. You can work with it even now, but we do not support it official for the moment.
To continue working on your project, you have to upgrade your PHP to 5.4 or newer version.

You don’t need an xml file. As from version 1.4 we use an one-click installer. Go to Admin > Tools > Healthflex Demo Importer Click on the demo you like Make sure you have installed the plugins required On the import panel screen, click Import Demo and relax while each item is imported. When the Import Demo button turns green, the import is finished.

Hi! – first off: great work!
Minor Problems after smooth installation though:
I have set-up a One-Page-Scrolling-Page.
1.) (Anchor)links from within e.g. ”.plethora_teaserboxes” don’t “smooth scroll” to the sections. They directly jump to it.
2.) Menu does not recognise, what section the page is scrolled to – Home button remains highlighted.
3.) I also have trouble making a menu item, which basically acts exactly like the #return-to-top button, smooth scrolling to the top of the page – without reloading it.
4.) Is there a way to link to a (full) page using “profile grid’s” “fullscreen lightbox” – instead of linking to a simple profile post.

View version 4.11.1 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required.
Hello, Visual Composer will be updated together with the next theme update. Your copy is fully functional and you don’t need to buy an extra license for VC.
Thanks for the response. Just to be clear, will it be ok to just upload the updated theme you release using default WP them upload functionality without overriding the site or must the update always be done via ftp as stated in the theme documentation? The WP theme internal upload is preferred as is the case with other envato themes.
For the time being, theme updates are done by ftp. Updates of plugins bundled with our theme are normally done inside wp admin, once our theme is updated. We are constantly working of new ways to make things easier and we will surely be incorporating an easier updating system on the future but not for now. Hello, there is a group of settings for each column, you should edit the “color set”, selecting the color of your desire.

Hi, actually that’s not quite correct – I found it out myself. The “color set” settings for the columns were already set to primary, that didn’t make a difference. These blue colours are “hardcoded” with hexadecimal values which can in fact be changed in the column settings, but on the “Design Options” tab (not on the “General” tab). In case anyone else is struggeling with the same issue. Thank you anyway
