Is it possible to use personalized icons with salient?
Hey – if you’re trying to use them as a webfont you’d need to enqueue the file manually or use a plugin in regards that allows for custom icon uploading. However if you needed to use the icons as images then it would be a simple upload from Visual Composer
Is it possible to MUTE A VIDEO in the header section where you’ve uploaded a video? I know I can upload one without audio but would love to give visitors a chance to choose for themselves to turn off the video soundtrack. Thanks in advance for your response!

This wouldn’t be possible without some custom development unfortunately – the video backgrounds are only meant to serve as a design element. If you wanted to give your users the control to watch an actual informational video the video lightbox element would be recommended which is showcased on the corporate demo

1. To create your own custom post types you’d need to a plugin to create them or code them in a child theme

1. You can use your own custom post types, but you’ll need to style them within Salient
2. VC gives the option to map your own shortcode so if you already have a way of querying your cpt you could map it there to give it an element in the page builder

I’m seeing an issue where the font-awesome icons are not working in Chrome on a Windows 8 box, but they work fine on my mac. SPecifically, under the social section there should be a Facebook icon and an Instagram Any help?

I have another question ..
I selected “Centered Menu Alt” from Layout Related, and my menu goes down, i want my menu to have a background ”#82b0b0” and the exact size like header. And when it’s goes for mobile, the “MENU BUTTON” to be in the left side
I ran the Salient Demo Importer for the ‘Blog’ demo, and no images or sliders were imported. The layout seems to have imported, but nothing was added to the Wordpress Media Library.
Hey – most images are not included with the demo imports and are instead replaced by placeholders to hold the structures

Visual Composer does not permit overriding the tablet portrait size responsive width for whatever reason (“Default value from width attribute”) so I can’t find an easy way to override…nor can I find any CSS in the inspector that is directly responsible for this.. any idea?

I can not ask you a question on the support form, because my license has expired, but the funny thing is my problem arose only after the latest update.
My category page is now like a regular blog, and no matter what I do it wont budge, change to the child theme, the main theme, follow the instructions like im installing the theme from zero, it wont switch back the way it was.
Is it possible that i might get help without buying a license again?
