I am also having a slight issue with the scroll down circle and arrow. When adjusting the page header background image to parallax the button appears too low on the screen despite the image being set to full screen? It does the same when I untick box roll or parallax. Can you help please, image size is 2000×1000 so should be fine. It only appears fine when I use the box roll header.

Hi, just having a play with the ‘Box Roll’ effect which I have to say looks great, however, it is possible to change the background colour when rolling down to the content. At present I think it’s #e4e4e4, but I’ve changed all settings within the Salient options but none seem to effect this colour. Is there a CSS change that can be made? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, thanks for sorting out the visual composer issue. I have some other theme option questions if you don’t mind.
We are building a site for a client who runs a photo booth hire business and I would like your guidance on what would be the best practice for displaying a really nice gallery within the site.
We have created a basic gallery page with image gallery within for now but the client would possibly like to explore some options. They might like to have a gallery section within the site where specific photo booth parties will have their own designated photographs from the event which may only be viewed by certain people from the event. Is this possible to set up an area where certain images are only viewable by authorised people? and if so how would it be best to do this? The clients would maybe like the images to open in a full resolution light box and then allow the person to download such photos in full size. Adding an eCommerce element to this is also a question, can you let me know your advice for this please. I am wondering if this should all be done using portfolio or just the gallery options that you have within the theme?

Password protecting pages you create that contain the galleries would be an easy solution to handle the privacy aspect. Using the Salient visual composer image gallery element offers many different styling/lightbox options. Here are two examples at the bottom of these projects

If you know that’s a must, I’d reccomend simply using WooCommerce and creating a different product for each thing you’d like to sell as there is the option to have photo galleries on the single product pages as well

Hey! Yes you should be safe to update 
Also another update suggestion is to be able to just simply Italicize a piece of text without it changing to the font setting that I have in the Theme Options>Typography. For example, if I want to simply italicize a piece of paragraph text, it won’t do that, it changes it to whatever I have set as my Italicize in the theme options. Now I have to use up one of my H5’s or whatever to be the same font as my paragraph text and make it italicize just so I can get that text italicized.

is there a way to customize the main heading and the subheading font colors separately for the Nectar Slider? Currently I only see the option for a Light or Dark scheme, which changes the colors for both headings. It would allow me a better result if I could create better contrast with control of those colors individually.

The VC included with Salient is a modified version and you wouldn’t have a license to the raw plugin to receive updates directly from the plugin developer

Salient provides updates for the Salient VC periodically so you never need to go to codecanyon – it’ll all be contained within the theme itself

Updated to WP 4.5 and visual composer is not showing I see the visual composer header but none of the page elements are showing are are editable unless I switch to the Classic Mode

Hey I’m having trouble with the Visual Composer. Page Builder mode is no longer showing any content (rows, columns, modules, etc) even though I can see content exists when I go to Classic Mode.
If it helps, Wordpress forced me to update the database before logging in. Could that have caused the issue?

Hey – give your column that’s holding the heading tags a class name such as “inline-headings”
and then add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel:
