HI to all the people posting here. I am pretty sure they are working on this issue. just be patient. They did not break it on purpose. It is not only Salient having issues. The new WP is having a lot of issues related with visual composer. so please stand by, wait for the fix and update properly.

Hi, You probably heard about it, but WP 4.5 is not working with the VC. Please release Salient’s update for VC – we can’t use it anymore. When are you going to do that? Please be honest with us, your clients, because we need to organize and plan our work. If you don’t I’ll need to downgrade my WP and it’s unnecessary work to do.

Any chance you have a simple solution to align the buttons (either all or individual) centrally on mobile. Currently they are aligned left on desktop which I want, however they look bad on mobile and wish them to align differently on mobile.

I would guess the version bump of jQuery and possibly jQuery migrate is causing the issue

I updated to Wordpress 4.5 and then Visual Composer is not working. Pages are running well but in edtion mode I cant’see Visual Composer panels but I can HTML and Shortcodes in classic mode.

I have a layout made with with visual composer, but want to use it as a template for a CPT single page.
I could do it with an elaborate use of do_shortcode(), but is it not possible to use the VC elements in the template code?

I figured I would ask you, since the VC version bundled with Salient is a modified version. I will contact wpbakery and ask them.
But just out of curiosity. Are any of the page templates in Salient coded with VC elements?
Hey, there’s no many page templates included with Salient but no – you can also inspect them in root of the theme itself, they all have template- prepended to their name for easy identification

The Salient VC is not the same as the raw VC available on Codecanyon. However the Salient update which includes the current VC is almost ready for download
Can we install the original Visual Composer to replace the modified version in this theme? Just for future updates..and would it mess up an entire template/layout?
Hey – it’s not recommended that you use the raw VC as you’ll lose many Salient specific features. The Salient update which includes the current VC is almost ready for download though

Hey – the visual composer update is in the review queue on ThemeForest and will be available shortly, however there was never a known issue that the front of the website would be inaccessible, only the backend editor had confirmed issues. If you’re not able to see content on the front end please verify that no other third party plugins you have active are causing the issue

Having the issue with wordpress 4.5 update.
We did not build with Salient’s VC. We used the shortcodes exclusively within the normal wordpress editor window. Is there an easy fix such as removing or commenting out the enque of VC or are the shortcodes dependent on it?
Hey – if you’re not using the Salient VC, there’s no known theme specific issues with WP 4.5. Have you verified that no third party plugins you have active are causing issues for you? If so please share your URL in regards so I can take a look

I think it doesn’t matter if you are not using the VC, it has to do with loading the script. The header and footer are loaded, but most of the rest of the pages dont. The blog pages do work though. URL is http://rareairpark.com. It is an older version of Salient, I am very hesitant to update to the new theme because of this. If it can be fixed by changing a few lines of code, that would be better.
Hello, I’m trying to load a Google Map, inside the Fullscreen off canvas menu. Problem is, the map only loads if you click on the hamburger icon as soon as its shown on the screen. If you wait for the full page to load, the map won’t draw (gray map).
I’m pretty sure this is caused because the div container of the map (off canvas menu) has no width/height when the map loads so it could be solved if I “reload” the map, with a jQuery snippet when someone click on hamburger icon (thus, giving off screen menu width/height and reveals itself). Something like this:

Hey – a javascript event to trigger a resize of the map would indeed be needed and it would need to live in the init.js file – please open a ticket in regards https://themenectar.ticksy.com/

I am also having a slight issue with the scroll down circle and arrow. When adjusting the page header background image to parallax the button appears too low on the screen despite the image being set to full screen? It does the same when I untick box roll or parallax. Can you help please, image size is 2000×1000 so should be fine. It only appears fine when I use the box roll header.

Hi, just having a play with the ‘Box Roll’ effect which I have to say looks great, however, it is possible to change the background colour when rolling down to the content. At present I think it’s #e4e4e4, but I’ve changed all settings within the Salient options but none seem to effect this colour. Is there a CSS change that can be made? Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, thanks for sorting out the visual composer issue. I have some other theme option questions if you don’t mind.
We are building a site for a client who runs a photo booth hire business and I would like your guidance on what would be the best practice for displaying a really nice gallery within the site.
We have created a basic gallery page with image gallery within for now but the client would possibly like to explore some options. They might like to have a gallery section within the site where specific photo booth parties will have their own designated photographs from the event which may only be viewed by certain people from the event. Is this possible to set up an area where certain images are only viewable by authorised people? and if so how would it be best to do this? The clients would maybe like the images to open in a full resolution light box and then allow the person to download such photos in full size. Adding an eCommerce element to this is also a question, can you let me know your advice for this please. I am wondering if this should all be done using portfolio or just the gallery options that you have within the theme?

Password protecting pages you create that contain the galleries would be an easy solution to handle the privacy aspect. Using the Salient visual composer image gallery element offers many different styling/lightbox options. Here are two examples at the bottom of these projects

If you know that’s a must, I’d reccomend simply using WooCommerce and creating a different product for each thing you’d like to sell as there is the option to have photo galleries on the single product pages as well
