We don’t have page template for it. You can create a page like that using Visual Composer’s elements, to add some photos/description of each team member, and you can link them to this author archive page.

I’m getting visual composer tags on my main homepage post2 descriptions. Tags like: ” vc_row[vc_column_text]”.
It’s ok inside the post page it just shows in the post description before enters it.

For each of your posts, in WP admin -> Posts -> each post, fill in your desired excerpt text in the excerpt field under the post’s content. If you don’t see this field, click on Screen Options in top right corner, and check excerpt. Then you will have this field, and put the excerpt text there for each of your posts. That text will be shown on blog lists only, since blog lists can’t read shortcodes.

So I have purchased the theme and installed it.. But the homepage doesn’t look anything similar to what Newspaper Home looks like.. Must I purchase Visual Composer in order to have a functioning homepage?.
Nothing is working so far.. The slider is also not showing, and I can see my old post..
And the Scroll drop down menu javascript seams not to be working. http://www.africanheritagemagazine.de/.. its not hidding, plus the background color seams to be invisible on mouse out..
I hope it is not a must to purchase the slider plugin and visual composer before one can make use of this theme. Coz this theme is expensive enough, and it would be really not nice to be forced to pay extra charges for two plugins before one can make use of this theme.
I have just purchased and activated visual composer, but the error still persists. Post is not showing, and there seems to be something wrong with the Top Menu JavaScript, cause it is not hiding.

1. is it possible to have a slider on the masonry block to switch to the next 4 posts. http://discussion.mikado-themes.com/masonry-block/2. what settings are possilbe on the masonry block? Latest/Recent post without categories? How many post could be shown and how?
3. Is it possible to change the post design? The menus under “Lifetime” or “World” could be every subemenu associated to the recent posts of the submenu-category. This is very important to me. Example: 1. 1. This masonry block does not work like slider unfortunately. If you want slider, with four items shown, you could use the one from this page for example http://discussion.mikado-themes.com/interactive-carousel/
2. Yes, you can specify from which exactly category it will show posts from, or speficy precise posts you want to be in it. By default, it shows four posts.
3. It would require some template change, but it’s possible generally.
4. Could you please be more specific about this one? These wide menus display custom widget area you create , so you can put the content you want for it – we put some posts there.
5. This is our demo site http://discussion.mikado-themes.com/ it you mean on demo testing the WP admin, we don’t have it unfortunately.

1. so the interactive-carousel is a little bit to big. Primarily I have a tech blog and the theme should show as many information as possible on the frontpage. But the grid masonry-block is ok for me. Is it possible to set the number of post shown as recent posts?

1. This masonry block you liked, must use this structure of four items. But you can activate pagination for it, to have some kind of slider for it as well , check my video http://screencast.com/t/HhbePCTS3
2. Yes of course, if you don’t specify one specific category, it will show recent posts from all categories..

4 Let me try to explain this: you can use Wide menu, that way, the submenu of some main menu item will be shown in four columns like under Features on our demo http://discussion.mikado-themes.com/
Or, like under ‘World’ or ‘Lifestyle’, you can display some widget area with recent posts, that will change based on category you hover on in the left column

You can import our demo site once you install the theme – and you will get this page imported as well, so you can see how it’s made and use it to easily modify it for your needs.

To display your twitter feed – you should use Mikado Twitter Widget in Appearance -> Widgets, and add it to some widget area.
Mikado Twitter Widget – To enable the Mikado Twitter Widget, you first need to go to Mikado Options > Social > Twitter, and click the “Connect with Twitter” button. This will open your browser and ask for permission to your Twitter feed. After you have enabled permission, you can set the options for the widget.
