To solve this issue please update the visual composer plugin. To do this, you need to deactivate and then delete the visual composer plugin. Then you should see a notice at the top of your dashboard that a required plugin needs to be installed. Install the new version of VC via this notice and you will receive the updated version. You should also empty your browser cache after you update Visual Composer.

But the last released version of our theme from couple a days ago with Visual Composer 4.11.1 is tested and stable with WP 4.5

Please update theme, update VC and empty cache, problems should be resolved

Too late – already purchased vc and performed those steps. Does not resolve issue due to visual composer “old theme code” overriding the new – and only the theme author can remove that without destroying site pages. Have also re-purchased Select support, and submitted a ticket…This WP update is expensive.

Understand. Make sure you’ve pasted the correct jquery folder inside wp-includes/js (so only the old one is there) . This solution worked for all other users.

There is problem with latest jQuery included in WP 4.5. We are working on fix now and we will update all our themes.

Temporary fix is to copy the old jQuery folder (from previous version of WP) into wp-includes/js folder.

This can be done with adding a piece of custom css in Select Options -> Global Options -> Custom CSS field:
