Somewhat unhappy customer. Had this theme for a few years now and it was working flawlessly with Fancy Gallery (separate plugin). Client was happy! I believe the theme updated (I’m not 100% sure but if I activate a different theme it works fine) and broke fancy gallery. I paid for support specifically to fix this feature (which I have no problem paying for as long as I find a solution) only to be told:
Please use our gallery from Gallery > Add New we don’t provide support for 3rd-party plugins. Thanks,

UPDATE: We figured out it had to do with jQuery updater. Once we DOWNGRADED jQuery, the Fancy Gallery plugin worked. This is weird because when I used WP default theme and it had the newest jQuery, I had no issues. Either way, all is well now. I recommend this theme, happy with it!

?Hi there, I am running WordPress 3.9.2 and Modernize 3.1.6. If i update to WordPress 4.5.2 do i have to update to the latest version of Modernzie, or will the website still work if i stick to using the theme version 3.1.6. I have had some problems recently upgrading to to 4.5.2 and themes not working, when i do update it has completely messed up the styling and settings of the website, so am reluctant to do this again.
If i do need to update the theme, is there a way of doing this automatically and what is the latest version of the theme i should be upgrading to?

Hi,
Mostly is minor bugs fixed from 3.1.6 to 3.1.9 so it’s not that necessary. However, you have to replace the folder “include/plugin/custom-widget” with the new one that come with v3.1.9 as it fixes pagination issue with latest WP version.
However, if you want to update theme, make sure that you didn’t modify theme coder because your modification will be removed.
The reason site looks not good after updating is style-custom.css was replaced with the default from theme. So you just need to go to admin panel and just click on ‘save changes’ once after update the theme and this will be fixed

I have Modernize theme version 3.16 and have now uploaded WooCommerce, but it says that it doesn’t support it. I have tried the newest version of both Modernize and WooCommoerce, but it does’nt solve the problem. Is it really compatible? Thanks!

Hi, I have purchased your theme for a client and there is an issue with font I believe – When creating a new article or even existing articles and having apostrophe’s into the titles doesnt work, it strips out apostrophes – I changed the font and still the same, can you please advise?

The social media icons in the header area top right are not sharp at all and it really impacts the overall quality of this theme. Is this something you plan to fix?

I’ve used the theme for years and still generally love the look… except the 980 pixel boxed width which is looking seriously dated at this point. Is there ever going to be an option to adjust this? Doing a search in the comments clearly it’s a very desired feature. I am due to renew support and trying to decide if it’s time to retire the theme.
Unfortunately this can’t be done easily
It needs quite much cusotmization to change the layout size…. However, FYI, on the next theme of ours, we’re working on something totally new and very powerful. You may wait for it in case you’re looking to retire this theme.

Thank you for you super fast reply. For some reason its saying that the code is expired. This is an older theme. Will I really need to re-purchase this for support? This is not cool!!! 
The matter is that Envato launch new support item policy since middle of last year. The main point is custom will have 6 months period of support after they purchase the item. They can choose to buy the extension for another 6 months since the date of purchasing theme or later.
And the regulation started since Sep15’ so customers that purchased theme before Sep15’ will have time for support until end of Feb16’ after that will need extension. Is there a reason why this theme would all of a sudden not work anymore. I have been running this theme for a long while and just yesterday none of the page options are available. I am unable to edit any of my pages. It is not responding and the slider options, everything is gone. so none of my current content is editable because the options are simply no longer there! I have client that has Modernize Theme v 1.12. I would like to know is this the latest version?
My client is interested in getting some of new feature. Can you tell me
1. Is it possible in Modernize theme to keep header and menu tab static, stay in place when I scroll.
2. Can I change the font size and color of text in the ‘tagline’ section.
3. Can I create a multi-layer layout. (fixed background images while scroll through the front page)
I believe client saw a website designed on Enflod theme, it offers all three features.
Is it possible to make these changes in Modernize theme?

Hi I just updated the theme from 3.16 to 3.20 and now the settings have reverted to default. I followed your tutorial on updating the theme very carefully and did it over to make sure I didn’t miss anything and still the my settings are not transferring. I have not touched any code in the previous theme or the new theme so I’m lost as to what to do.
