Theme updated with WP 4.5, but nothing is working anymore. No updates for salient vc. No 4.11.2 salient vc. Ultimate salient version downloaded is themeforest-4363266-salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme. This is the 7.0.8 salient version? This version have the 4.11.2 salient vc? I dont think so, im feeling like speended money and now my site is dead. Where is the solution?
Hey, you can find the version of your theme listed at the top of the Salient options panel. If you can verify that you’re on 7.0.8, the VC update will be available in your appearance > plugins section. Since you’re not seeing that please either open a ticket with your admin credentials https://themenectar.ticksy.com/ or send an email with them through the contact form on my profile page http://themeforest.net/user/themenectar
What i did: installed WP from zero, and it works: theme and salient vc. Unfortunally losed all my work, because theme input a lot of data on database so only with a really clean install worked. Feeling sad but … well, lets work hard again.

Yes, i did, but when i retrieved my bkp it comes with conflicted codes, so i tried 2 times to install retrieving my backup and didnt worked. Needed to install from zero.
Hello, do you have a separate email or site that I can open a support ticket? This theme is difficult to use and I’ll have to ask for a refund if I don’t get the support. Okay,somehow found the dummy-data.xml,downloaded it but an error pops up: slide auto draft already exists please try again after pressing on please try again then this
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.? Any Help?

1. The dummy data can be imported via the demo importer tab in the Salient options panel
2. In regards to the actual dummy data xml locations the dummy data.txt file in the Salient download states – The dummy data files are now able to be imported from the theme options panel! If you would still like to know their whereabouts, you can find them in salient/nectar/redux-framework/extensions/wbc_importer – Cheers!
How can I get the background image of a column or the entire row to NOT go full screen or fuzzy because it’s so big? I need it to scale the height of the column, per the box enabled, but it’s not working.
When I place the image as a Single Image within the column itself, it works properly. I’ve never been able to get the background image to not go absurdly large.

?Hi, I have a question, on my site how some the font for the header Lovelo font looks different on safari than it does on firefox? On firefox the font is solid and filled, but in safari its just outlines of the font? Is there a way to get it so its solid on both safari and firefox?

I updated to the latest WP. I have VS 7.4 and now the settings dont work, but the website works, I updated to the latest VS and now everything is broken, so I downgraded back to 7.4 but I cant adjust anything in the VS composer settings. Is there a fix? Thanks Hermann

For everyone who hasn’t seen the announcements,
In regards to WordPress 4.5
The only version of Salient that is compatible with the latest WP is Salient 7.0.8, and the only version of Salient Visual Composer that is compatible with WP 4.5 is 4.11.2. If you’re using older versions of these and have updated to WP 4.5, your visual composer will not work.
Once you’ve updated Salient, head to the plugins section of your admin panel to update Visual Composer. If you’re having issues after using both the current versions, check for third party plugin issues – WP 4.5 added a new version of jQuery and a lot of plugins broke because of it.
Can you please respond to my help ticket I privately sent you 1 week ago as I haven’t heard in a week and am paying for support. Private Ticket #742017 Big problems with video sliders and the Safari browser. It wasn’t bad like this in prior Salient versions. This really needs to be resolved quickly.

Still not hearing from you about a final resolution to this problem. It was not such a problem in prior versions of Salient. Something is wrong with the theme and it not being adaptable with the Safari web browser with video slides. This is a serious issue. Please review my ticket again as I did write to you again.

Not sure if this is a bug or intended. If I use an on-page anchor (eg. #book) for the CTA link, it goes to that part of the page but doesn’t do the smooth scroll like it does if the same exact link is in the header menu. How can I get this to work the same?

Hi! After the Salient 7.0.8 update, my website is having CSS difficulties.
http://www.simonvanacht.com1) The WP Rocket plug-in is causing portfolio items not showing. And also header images on portfolio detail page to not being displayed
2) Secondly, on mobile/tablet size there is strange spacing at the top of the page. Either the text is getting behind the menu bar, or there is a small grey area in between the menu bar and the text. This wasn’t there before the update. I would prefer not to use custom CSS if possible.
If anyone has a solution for this, please let me know

2. It seems this is being caused form the way you’re using full width content rows – for now until the next update you’ll need to use this css

Last question:
On mobile, the Name/Project Excerpt of the portfolio item is shown directly. Before the last update, these weren’t shown. Is this something that can be adjusted in the CMS? Or do I need to use custom CSS for this?
